Only 1 town in the world makes this bread!

Every year the town of Reutlingen, Germany celebrates Mutscheltag (Mustchel Day) on the first Thursday after Epiphany. The town gets together to play dice games to win parts or whole Mutschel. These intricate 8 pointed stars have been made since the 13th century, and are still enjoyed and celebrated to this day.

1000g / 8 c all-purpose flour
30 g fresh / 10 g instant yeast / 12 g active dry yeast
200g unsalted butter
20 g salt
1 tsp sugar
200 ml whole milk
200ml lukewarm water
1 egg
splash of milk
