    Hi guys! In this video I'm sharing a simple DIY homemade deep conditioner for natural hair using 4 kitchen ingredients; yogurt, honey, apple cider vinegar and olive oil. You don't have to spend a fortune to sustain your hair. Customize with what you already have in your kitchen :-)

      DuchessGabrielle I'm highly allergic to anything with milk!! so if you're like me, I want to add this to your great video....I cook some whole wheat pasta (any kind) for my protein treatment, still works great! very slippery lol

    • @shamachelon

      oh I strain the water from the whole wheat pasta and spray it on. then add honey, ACV, and EVOO

      Amber Raglin , wow really ? Great idea! I didnt know wheat pasta has protein? is it same as fermented rice water which increases in protein the more it ferments?

    Today was wash day. Fresh out of conditioner. It's bank holiday....so I turned to UA-cam, typed something out and, "boom"! Stumbled upon your video. So I thought I'd give it a go seeing as you sounded quite convinced about this miracle 4 product DIY remedy. Lady, I'm never buying conditioner again! My hair hasn't felt sooo moisturised after a 'quick' wash day in a long long time! I'm in awe!! Really worked well on my type 4 hair. I do home brewing, so I used my kefir yoghurt, Kombucha vinegar (that really conc starter tea you have in your scoby hotels), extra virgin olive oil and of course, a good grade organic honey. And I also applied that concoction to my face as a mask, left it on until it dried and then washed it off. NOURISHMENT GALORE!!! Thanks for the share. Awesome stuff.

      @@mkierra hey there! Haven't had the pleasure of trying it out with the Greek yogurt but seeing as wash dry is coming up soon, I'll be sure to test it out. That said, I would assume it would work as well, seeing as they're usually high in protein content, and the good bacteria in them gives us extra nutrition, scalp-wise. 😉

      itsCHIDI if you’re going to deep condition it is best to do so after you have already washed/co washed your hair and if you do rinses like tea, acv, or rice- it’s best to do it after those as well. It’ll most likely be the last step in your wash day. The moisture intake won’t be good if you’re doing a deep conditioning treatment on dirty hair because the dirt will not allow the treatment to penetrate your strands as well as if you were to do it on freshly washed/cleansed hair

    nice! thanks for sharing... what about jojoba. i've always heard that was close to our natural sebum.

    • @duchessgabrielle
      @duchessgabrielle  7 років тому +5

      Hey Sandi! Yes, Jojoba is very similar to sebum. It's also very pricey so I would recommend using it directly on the scalp by creating a scalp serum instead of applying it on the strands. It's more effective and cost efficient that way. But if it's not too pricey for you it's definitely a great oil for haircare. Hope that makes sense

      @Sandi F thank you for asking that question. I have a bunch of various oils here ( product junkie) that I can use

    • @missladyzee44
      @missladyzee44 3 роки тому

      @Duchess Gabrielle so are you saying not to mix the Jojoba oil instead of the evoo as you did in your video ? Or not to apply it on the scalp as well as the strands ?

    Can someone tell me how people come up with these ingredients? (Are they just googling and then come up with their own kitchen ideas)?...They seem so well spoken and talk a good game, but are these You Tubers Chemists, Scientists, in order to quote so many things about the formulation of what makes up hair and what is needed to maintain the hairs health, shine, etc....?

      Yes, I think so. There's nothing about it that's exclusively 4c in my opinion
