@@RazorRC integy.com sells aluminum upgrade kit , I also bought rc screwz kit because the self tapping Philips screws strip out in one removal and install. I sold it FAST nothing but headache and parts on order. After all upgrade the body post snapped constantly and tires come off on 3s , the black chrome peels right off
Yeah I got the Team Associated Rival MT10 about 6 months ago, it's absolutely wonderful and it's built like a tank. It commands 3s. I have no complaints.
Yeah I baught a mt10 the back shock was dodgy and the servo died in five days didn’t even do a jump on it or take it far force it round my back yard about 3 times and the servo just fried on me so yeah top truck not
This truck was always designed to be nitro with a 2.5cc engine. It was Originally a hot bodies lightning gt10. Really really old. That's why it breaks so much. People think it's a arrma when it a 2000 year old design 😂😂
I love those factory wheels! That style wheel looks really sharp on this truck. I like how it almost has kind of a gun metal finish sorta thing. They're different, and I dig it! 👍🏼🔥👌🏼
The Price is way to much. Not good quality. It break very easy. The 3s Arrmas are way better for the same price. All the best from Germany. Nice Video.
wow that kit looks like it hasn't changed since it released a long time ago. thanks for unboxing and showing it off, I would love to pick one of these up. maybe used.
If they could afford a r and d department they would probably be better by now, but looks quite dated although durable. And yes Phillips screws are cheezy. Serpent spyder Mt2 unboxing would be great...
Mine has been shelved. It's powerful but it just can't withstand 3S power. Diffs are a crap cast metal, driveshaft pins break, the front hubs crack and all the hub bearings blow quickly by poor design - tightening the wheel nuts can bind the inner races. The battery box is a real PITA. The shocks aren't too bad but they do leak over time - and it's twice the work! Bought mine 3-4 years ago but maybe more changes have been made after HPI's comeback, if this is a re-release
Nice to see HPI getting back in the game but Philips screws?! And, please, give us a traditional battery tray. Looking forward to seeing it run, though 👍
@@slick2500 I felt I had to say some as they have new releases out .But yeah I know what you mean, I love the savage trucks but they’ve been waiting for 1/8 style 17mm wheel nuts forever...and hex hardware would be nice 👍
True, if they wouldn't have been so bad with their financials they would still be up there, but since being sold off twice now to some random companies in Europe they just aren't the same anymore. As sad as it is to say this I really wish Horizon would have picked them up instead of Ripmax after they filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy.
Hopefully they have changed the plastics over the years. This was by far the least durable RC I have ever owned. Looks like they added additional shocks though, I don't remember it having 8 🤔
Thanks for the vid razor, its even worse than I thought. Seriously Philips hardware on something of this price, that's not even going into what I mentioned on your teaser pic. Yet hpi keeps asking why do we keep going out of business??? I want to see how people defend this crap.
Phillips screws on any rc at any price is just stupid in my opinion. Have you seen Kyoshos rtrs? The Neo ST is nearly $500 and it comes with phillips screws and plastic shocks!!
Nothing wrong with Phillips head screws..Just use the right size Phillips head driver
So true. Everyone complaining about the dam screw's kills me like dosent matter at all lol
Instant shelf queen, nice looking trucks when new great reminder of "The way we were".
this is looking more and more like it's going to get retired to shelf queen status

The unimpressed tone in your voice is pretty spot on for this truck.
That price is going to be hard to justify over the Associated MT10.

that said, I've wanted a bullet for like 10+ years lol
Nothing to justify. Associated is a tried and true race bread company. It will always be superior over a basher company
@@beesod6412 Me too, which is why I picked this up.

Bei uns in DE bekommst du auch kaum sicher Ersatzteile dank des Vertriebs un DE ;) Der Grund wieso ich von HB auf Tekno umgestiegen bin^^
100% agree. A big piece of crap. No bashing, just a few little hops and every time something breaks!
Cool RC and unboxing, have a great weekend brother
thank you, and you too!

It hasn't other than 100 dollar price hikes lol

Why would you change something that works almost perfectly since years. Traxxass on the other hand

@@RazorRC I'm hoping you have better luck with yours! And I forgot to add - it was my first hobby grade RC and I've learned a lot since
Hey, someone is at the door! I see mixed reviews about HPI.
I only have one question for you, this or the team associated mt10?
Priced way too high. Like u mentioned. Phillips head screws. Plastic hexes plastic shocks. I will stick with my Big Rock
Sounds like Traxxas lol way to expensive and cheaply made
If memory serves me right. This used to sell for 360? US.
They also had a nitro version
the philips head screws are ridiculous

Agreed and agreed!
I really like HPI but they need to update some of there models, a V2.0 bullet could be great 👍
They have been going through bankruptcy and being held back by their new company they are owned by since 2016.
Just some? Most of their models need an update. The Vorza is pretty solid though they could do something about that stupid rear body mount.
@@Sackmatters Ripmax sold HPI to some other company out of somewhere in Europe. I want to say the Netherlands but don't quote me on that.

Weird design, 8 shocks why? And what's up with the L shaped battery tray?
Having driven it, actually the 8 shocks are kinda interesting and makes the truck drive differently than any other RC car I've had.
HPI was a great company in the 90's and early 2000's but now it's just not.

I'm curious if these are old kits or parts made more recently. like is that ESC 7 or 8 years old? dunno just cuirous.
it's a new kit
Wow this is interesting looks nice wondering how it will perform
380 euros
