    I have a Ghanaian Father and tried to make some of them, but i forgot the Sugar and they were also too hard. But now I know how to make them properly. Thank you for that.

    Hi Abe na, I made it n it tasted nice. The only thing was it was slightly uncooked in the middle. what did I do wrong pls.

      I presume your dough was too thick and the oil was probably too hot so the donuts got brown way too fast without getting to cook properly inside.

    With the donut, do I need plain flour or self raising? I doesn't specify.

      You can use any of them. But you'll ve to add baking powder if you use the plain flour

    These are so good. The first time I made them the 4 cups was way too much. It was thick like dough. I had to add more of the other ingredients. So that way the consistency would be like yours in the video.
    However I did some research and your 500g of flour turned out to be 2 1/2 cups. So the second time I made with the 2 1/2 cups instead it turned out perfect.

      That’s why I don’t add cup measurements in my videos/recipes bcos I’m not familiar with them. Thanks for pointing it out to me and sorry for the late reply

      Plain flour/soft flour/ all purpose flour- any of these flour should be fine

    Thanks Abena, sometimes when l make my meat pie it turns hard and l dont know why,l do add a little grounded onion though, do you think thus the reason or does it has something to do with measurement or water?

      It depends on many factors. Don't add baking powder, too much of water can also make it hard

    Pls answer me, do I start frying right away? Cause I tried it but didn't come out perfect for look, but was perfect for test.( I let it sit a while, say 30 minutes) before frying.

    please can I use yeast instead of the baking powder? or which one is better?

      you will have to leave it for it to rise if you use yeast. you can try using yeast, who knows, you can come out with something nicer. check my bofrot recipe if you havent, that ones uses yeast but theres no egg or butter in it. thanks for watching.

      Soft flour. All purpose flour is same as plain flour or soft flour

      You can use pineapple essence or any other essence of your choice. If you don’t have any of these just leave it out. It doesn’t take anything away from the recipe

      No pls, that is what makes the doughnut light n fluffy. baking powder is a must, you can't leave it out

      Sorry dear I thought I had replied you. They’re literally the same thing. In some countries it’s called plain flour and in other countries it’s all purpose flour

      I used all purpose flour. in case you use self raising flour omit the baking powder bcos it has some already

      dorcas baah it wouldn’t taste as nice as when you use milk. If you won’t get fresh milk use evaporated milk or powdered milk diluted with water
