When you blow up and become a big youtube please keep the no-nonsense and straight to the point style! It's great to see someone introduce a concept and go straight to explaining it with solid examples and without any fluff. Great video as always!
I started hitting the gym seriously and watching my diet 2 months ago and you encouraged me to do dips and pull ups as someone whose arm strength has always been zero. I currently do both with weight assisted machines but I can't describe how proud I feel as I went from using a 70lb weight for pull ups to 55 in about 2 weeks (the lighter the weight you rest your kneecaps on is, and the harder it gets) One day I won't need any weight to rest my knees on! And my arms have definitely losen fat, you can now see the tiny biceps growing lol.

Btw.. so glad to see you finally got a toaster 🤗 Great video Colin.. hope your day is as awesome and beautiful as you are! Jen999💙
Although I play sports, I began training like a bodybuilder and I lost a lot of my athleticism and mobility, I've been trying to program a calisthenics/athletic weightlifting workout schedule, and I've stumbled upon this greatness. Thank you.
Hey dude, I just wanted to thank you for sharing all of this valuable and honest information. You've really motivated me to get back into the gym and start hitting my goals. I just weighed myself and I'm at 175lbs and aiming to hit 200lbs by the end of this year.
I do a fully body workout with weights and callisthenics usually 5 days a week and I’ve seen great progress so far, callisthenics and weights is great!!!!!
Sheeeesh, love this. I've been doing a 3 day split because I'm low on time as a parent and a doctoral student, but I've found weight training to be vital for hypertrophy. I try to incorporate some more traditional weightlifting movements with weight where calisthenics can be deficient (curls and rows etc.). I do a lot less legs, but I take my variable dumbbells as heavy as they go and do split squats and one legged dead lifts. Glad to see a tall king doing calisthenics, I'm 6'2" and sometimes get discouraged with how hard the progression with planche, l-sit, and front lever can seem sometimes, but your channel as encouraged me keep at it💪
This is brillant! I have actually been doing a kind of hybrid routine for a while, although I think the calisthetics side has become kind of neglected, and I mainly just do pull ups and push up variations. But you have so many different ideas, and I never thought about exercises which aren't needed. Very efficient!
Been weight training for roughly 9 months. I have started doing hybrid a couple months ago because I realized that true strength is being able to master and control your own body weight. My ultimate goal is to be able to full planche 💪🏻
great video as always, colin ! i'm going to gradually add calisthenics into my routine 💪also my long sleeve tee came in the mail, i love it ! going to order the t-shirt variant now 😎
great video, i've been doing this approach for the past couple of months (slightly different split) and i've noticed perhaps the biggest change in my physique since i started training 2.5 years ago. highly recommend to anyone looking to challenge themselves.
hey, Colin! thank you so much for your channel. it’s a great resource for inspiration for me. i’m gradually improving my calisthenics skills even though i wasn’t able to do a single pull up
Really great video, and perfect timing too because I was just about to change up my programing. I always find your videos super helpful. Love the shade thrown at lat pull downs, and I like how you used your pull up bar as a step for calf raises, very creative. Solid advice all around.
Bro, your channel was literally a small one when i fisrt saw your videos a few months ago. But now u'r rocking it bro, love ur videos. Keep it up bro. 💯💯
Love it all! Thanks for sharing with the tribe brother. There is a more efficient way to build a functional body! The future is so bright, best wishes.
Hey bro, your videos have inspired me to get back into shape, what a coincidence it's January lol. I will follow this routine, I wondered if you think running 2km on the rest days would kill me? I also want to do some cardio for health reasons
man thank you so much, i tried a lot rock clibing powerlifting and calaistenics, your workout combines them really good. thank, im gpnna add some finger training in there. im gonna answer that comment in a month and tell about how it went. thank you again
So I now have a three-day training programme. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. On the rest days I do a bit of cardio or just nothing. Monday looks like this for me: Bench press, stiff-legged deadlift, step-ups with weights, calf raises, pull-ups with overhand grip, underhanded pull-up, dips, jump squat. all just one set and 80% of my max rep Wednesday: Squat with barbell, olympic shoulder press, press incline bench, glute bridge legs on a rowing bench (they are really hard), bicep squat incline, ab roll, overhand pull-up, underhanded pull-up Friday: Climbing or bouldering, at the end I like to go to the hangboard if my fingers aren't completely exhausted. During the week I like to do a few stretching exercises in combination with yoga or things that I enjoy. I'm not a professional and I have a life. In the end, the whole training plan is based on things that make sense to me and are fun.
Burning ants, huh. That fits a personality profile! I like this video about hybrid training. I grew up in gymnastics and used some weights for some workouts (holding a dumbbell for vault sit ups and ankle weights for hanging leg raises). After I got beat up and wanted more lower body muscle I went to the gym for heavy weights--dead lifts, squats, glutes, etc. I also got into heavy weighted abs exercising to force a lot of hypertrophy. After I left gymnastics I got into a mix of weight lifting and bar workouts. I still do some floor routines when the surface is right. I think your tutorials are quite good. And I just subscribed.
Really love this style of video. Started watching your other stuff. It's great to see positive exercise videos that remove all of the complicated aspects and make it simple for beginners. Reminds us that lifting is about getting active and having fun. Keep up the great work!
Hey Colin! Thanks for the Hybrid Routine video, it's really helping us. But one thing that I want to ask is, what does the "then repeat" means in the Split? So the Split as shown in the video is: Monday: Leg day and L Sit Tuesday: Push day and Front Lever Wednesday: Rest day or Handstand Thursday: Pull day and Handstand/Plance Friday: Rest day or Front Lever Then Repeat Saturday: Leg day and L Sit Monday: Push day and Front Lever So is it means the next one is Tuesday: Rest day or Handstand Wednesday: Pull day and Handstand/Plance Thursday: Rest day or Front Lever Friday: Leg day and L Sit Saturday: Push day and Front Lever Monday: Rest day or Handstand Tuesday: Pull day and Handstand/Plance Wednesday: Rest day or Front Lever Thursday: Leg day and L Sit Friday: Push day and Front Lever Saturday: Rest day or Handstand Monday: Pull day and Handstand/Plance And so on?
Really like your energy and your tips man i wanted to start calisthenics for a while cuz i don’t feel like the improvement feeling of when i started workout so it will be very helpfuk thx a lot
This awesome. It is exactly what I was looking for. I am still in early days so have a set of dumbells, and can only do inverted rows, but I do want to get good calasthenics and build up my arms and chest. So thanks so much for this!

Hey man, I just wanted to say I really love your videos and i find them really helpful. Could you please post a video in which you talk about your hair journey and how you style it right now?
Can you make a video on a home workout routine to get a nice physique like yours? I got two 25lb dumbbells… thats all i got😟 . love your content btw i’ve learned a lot 🙏
Starting on my Hybrid workout this week.. Bodybuilding style 3 times a week switching to 2 days and 2 days of Mobility work & Calestinics with 1 day if walking.
Colin you should genuinely consider competing in a men’s physique show if you haven’t already dude. You’ve got great symmetry and proportions 💯 Keep it up my guy looking aesthetic af
Wow I was just looking for this! I thought just doing calisthenics wasn't working (I'm a beginner and don't really go to the gym outside of my school gym) so I started just putting some things from the gym in but I didn't have a plan I just did stuff so thanks.
Your physique is the closest I've seen to Brad Pitt's Fight Club physique. Lean, aesthetic but not too big. I'm sure this was hard to achieve at your height. Great work!
Nice video and content! For me I would rather start with calisthenics movements and then move to weights on the same session (Pull, Push or legs) thanks for your effort 🎉❤
Definitely the best way to do it. I do a push pull full 3 times a week. That way im hitting everything twice a week but still getting plenty of revovery. I do inculde quads in push day and hams/glutes into pull day though.
I also do a hybrid program in the same style as yours, a coach has programmed it for me, I think it is essential to have the pistol squat in the program because it is an important excercices to master before others for the legs.
Aye I''m glad more people are doing this style I think it's the best. Also I agree pistol squats are key. I just have more of a focus on ones that are better for vertical and add it in.
Quick question, could you maybe make a video about what kind of food you should eat to make progress? I want to start paying more attention to what I eat but I just don’t know what’s best for me😕
Hybrid for the win! Keep up the great content mate. Speaking and physical skills on point 💪
Yo thank you! It means a lot you're a big inspiration for me and your UA-cam has motivated and helped me tons.
I really like seeing you revealing more and more of your humorous side while still giving awesome advice 💪

finally someone that combines both
Colin you should create a hybrid workout plan!!
Hey Colin! Thanks for the Hybrid Routine video, it's really helping us. But one thing that I want to ask is, what does the "then repeat" means in the Split?
So the Split as shown in the video is:
Monday: Leg day and L Sit
Tuesday: Push day and Front Lever
Wednesday: Rest day or Handstand
Thursday: Pull day and Handstand/Plance
Friday: Rest day or Front Lever
Then Repeat
Saturday: Leg day and L Sit
Monday: Push day and Front Lever
So is it means the next one is
Tuesday: Rest day or Handstand
Wednesday: Pull day and Handstand/Plance
Thursday: Rest day or Front Lever
Friday: Leg day and L Sit
Saturday: Push day and Front Lever
Monday: Rest day or Handstand
Tuesday: Pull day and Handstand/Plance
Wednesday: Rest day or Front Lever
Thursday: Leg day and L Sit
Friday: Push day and Front Lever
Saturday: Rest day or Handstand
Monday: Pull day and Handstand/Plance
And so on?
Have you figured it out? because i don`t get it either
I don’t know how I found you but so glad that I did! Thanks for the informative videos 💪🏾💪🏾

It's good to do skill work(front lever progressions, back lever progressions, planche progressions, etc) before strength work during your workout.
I was thinking of trying that out I think I’ll give it a shot this week
This awesome. It is exactly what I was looking for. I am still in early days so have a set of dumbells, and can only do inverted rows, but I do want to get good calasthenics and build up my arms and chest. So thanks so much for this!

thanks for your effort 🎉❤
Definitely the best way to do it. I do a push pull full 3 times a week. That way im hitting everything twice a week but still getting plenty of revovery. I do inculde quads in push day and hams/glutes into pull day though.
Was trying to show my sister L-sit to handstand not remembering I did 100 reps in shoulder variations. My face was eating floor obviously
you aight now?
I also do a hybrid program in the same style as yours, a coach has programmed it for me, I think it is essential to have the pistol squat in the program because it is an important excercices to master before others for the legs.
Aye I''m glad more people are doing this style I think it's the best. Also I agree pistol squats are key. I just have more of a focus on ones that are better for vertical and add it in.
Back exercises with dumbells please i love you man

Quick question, could you maybe make a video about what kind of food you should eat to make progress? I want to start paying more attention to what I eat but I just don’t know what’s best for me😕
Probably this Will be the future mixing bodyweight with weights
This video is very underrated. This is the furniture
when I started cali, I was like wait hold up I can just do both lol
hey bud, you are my hero in real life
the girlies appreciate the booty shots tysm colin 🥰🥰
not the box jumps on the car 😭
I really just start my gym workouts with bodyweight dips or pull-ups depending on the day it’s pretty much as simple as that
I love the B roll for the rest day hahaha
