You unintentionally beat Weldar in a completely obtuse, yet one of the easiest ways possible. 95% of folks don't even know Clockwork Eggs work on Weldar, you're meant to use fire or grenade eggs. The intended way to beat him is WAY HARDER than what you did. If you use any egg BESIDES clockworks the vacuum will continue sucking you while you're trying to shoot him. Fighting him is usually a brutal experience, major props to Jon.
I will say the way he did it was much easier but I still didn't have that much of a problem because you can just shoot the egg forward before he sucks you up and that travels faster than he can suck you to him.
Amazing. You had this same Austin Powers conversation during the first Banjo-Kazooie LP. Looking forward to hearing it again during the Nuts & Bolts playthrough in 4 years.
One of my favorite bits in Austin Powers is the "Looks like a giant..." sequence in the 2nd movie followed by "Looks like a pair of..." in the 3rd movie.
my favoruite bit is "IT'S GODZILLLAAAA!" also "remember when I told you we're not so different you and I?" "we're not so different you and I" "see, I said that."
@@sarafontanini7051 "Actually, due to international copyright laws...it's not." "STILL WE SHOULD RUN LIKE IT IS GODZILLAAAA!" "Though it's not." "AAAAAHHHH!"
Remember the bit with the subtitles that looks inappropriate at first glance? From gold member Edit: the shadow bit was brought up in the video ^^; felt like I'd forget to mention it had I waited
Weldar really stands out as a boss, not just from how complex his fight is with multiple phases, but also his whole demeanor. He's not acting out of petty malice, but a sense of professionalism and following guidelines. The guy's just doing his job. Almost makes you feel bad when you blow him up. Never saw him get beaten by pooping out Clockwork Kazooies, tho. Also, what a coincidence, coming to this after just watching poor Emile get his first taste of Rusty Bucket Bay's dreaded Engine Room.
it's also interesting how he's the only boss other than Klungo so far who can seen as a minion of Grunty's. it's also weird how his poor eyesight isn't actully like a factor in his boss fight and is only used for a small gag.
Honestly, I'd say the only bosses in this game that *do* act just out of petty malice are Mingy Jonjo and Grunty. Klungo and Weldar are just doing their jobs, Targitzan seems to just want to challenge you, Terry thinks Banjo stole his eggs, and Old King Coal, Mr. Patch, Lord Woo Fak Fak, and the Hailfire dragons all attack you because you're trespassing on their property
Weldar is Chad's cousin. I am declaring it canon. Weldar is so hidden compared to the other bosses that he was the last one I fought when I played this game as a kid. He also took me several attempts, though part of that is forgetting you can shoot eggs normally instead of in first-person since it's so rarely needed in Tooie, plus using the slow Grenade Eggs like the game nudges you too. I had no idea Clockwork Eggs worked so well; I always figured Fire Eggs were the best since they fly the fastest. Nice work beating him first try! Grunty Industries gets the last laugh though, as you have to do more after beating the boss to get a Jiggy, and you're immediately greeted by another Jiggy you can't get until later.
Now that I think about it, Weldar being so hidden gets heavily contrasted with the boss of the next world, who most players will want to fight right away before doing much else.
@@awesomeocelot7475 I was being vague since Lucah hadn't been to Hailfire Peaks by this point, but it applies to both of them. Having them rain fire/ice constantly encourages players to confront them to make level traversal easier, so there's a consistent incentive to fight them beyond getting a Jiggy. The entrances to their area are also literally out in the open and only require proper positions to unlock, so they're also the faster bosses to get to once you know how.
I am so glad that someone else loves Goldmember as much as I do lmao. It's my favorite of the Austin Powers movies. Dr. Evil: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to my submarine lair. It's long, hard and full of seaman! Dr. Evil: No? Nothing? Not even a titter? Tough sub...
35:16 To answer your question, yes it is possible (and actually preferred) to do it as Kazooie solo. In fact, I got a much higher score with just Kazooie than I did with BK. This is because Kazooie runs pretty fast on her own without the turbo trainers.
To add to this. In the multiplayer version of that minigame, all players are Kazooie for this reason. (It also is probably simpler given that folks don't need to do the talon trop to move effectively.)
Honestly I think Goldmember is the funniest of the three. The first probably has the strongest story and is still incredibly funny, but the third they kind of just cut loose with how zany they could be. Like they probably knew they weren't going to make a third movie so they did everything they wanted to. And one of my favorite lines from the movie is from Austin's dad "There are only two things I can't stand in this world: People who are intolerant of other people's cultures, and the Dutch." it's delivered with such unironic dead pan that's it's absolutely beautiful.
I have a big soft spot for Goldmember since I watched it the most, and find it most quotable lol "Hey Dr. Evil! Can I paint his yoo-hoo GAWLD? It's kind of my thing." (Dr. Evil slowly approaches Goldmember in his chair) "HOW ABOUT *NO*, you freaky Dutch bastard?!"
Hello don't mind me just came here from watching Emile getting destroyed in Rusty Bucket Bay and now here for Tooie's equalivant on that lol Also good job on beating the Weldar fight first try! That fight was sooooooo tough for me the first time easily the hardest non-final boss in the series
"If you are going to talk naughty things in front of these American girls, then at least speak *English* English." "All right, my son. I could've had it away with this cracking Julie my old China." "Are you telling a bunch pork pies and a bag of trout? Because if you are feeling quigly why not just have a J. Arthur?" "What, billy no mates?" "Too right, youth." "Don't you remember the crimbo din din we had with the grotty Scots bint?" "Oh, the one that was all sixes and sevens!" "Yeah, yeah, she was the trouble and strife of the Morris dancer that lived up the apples and pears!" "She was the barrister what become a bobby in a lorry and..." "???????" "...tea kettle!" "And then, and then..." "She shat on a turtle!"
I never understood what the story Austin's dad tells has to do with Austin telling him to just wank earlier in the conversation. Why bring that up in response to that.
The old version had some lag, Now we’ve got this in the bag. Weldar’s boss fight is the GOAT, Win by pooping down his throat! Twinkly mini-game you need, Kazooie to beat with speed. For the next world, here’s advice, Where there’s fire, poop some ice.
So, Jon didn't point this out, but the Twinklies are from the Christmas stage in the first game. They're the little Christmas lights that you helped get into the Christmas tree
It is very common to prefer re-watching old movies rather than seek out new ones. It's applicable to all forms of media, especially video games. It's a form of comfort.
Funny thing about the Weldar fight: if you stay in one of the corners of the battlefield he won’t be able to vacuum you because you're too far away. And you can just feed him Fire or Grenade Eggs from there.
The bit in the third Austin Powers when he is speaking 'English English' with his dad sends me every. goddamn. time. ' Are you telling a bunch pork-pies and a bag of trout? Because if you are feeling quigly, why not just have a J. Arthur? What, Billy no mates?
RIP Lucah’s old Twitter banner. 1:10 I don’t know if I’d call it old, but ye. Still got mine. This one’s actually pretty generous. I don’t think it’s possible without warping to the third floor. I don’t know if Mumbo can access the elevator shaft on the third floor or the fourth floor and even if he could, he can’t climb. Maybe if he falls from the fourth floor down to the third using that shaft… 2:40 I think it’s really just for the alliteration. I doubt Rare, the England based company, considered Japanese naming conventions. 4:44 Well don’t worry. Even after we’re done with this world, we’re not done with farts and toxic gas. 5:06 She just has wanderlust. Horses are prone to wanderlust, right? I think that just makes all those house tour streams all the better, knowing that she gets to be Twitch’s tour guide and yet she has to act all composed and confident that she knows where every room is relative to where she’s streaming. 6:24 I actually really like this boss both in terms of the fight and the music. 7:33 He’s a welding torch (thus the name Weldar), but it may as well be a fire spewing vacuum cleaner. He does get a cameo in Nuts & Bolts, showing up as a background object in Banjoland. 8:00 I like how Banjo clears the persuasion check and actually convinces Weldar that he’s not a bear, but the GM doesn’t want them to just get around this fight so he makes up an excuse to get everyone to roll initiative anyways. He doesn’t personally antagonize you either; he’s just following protocol and doing his job. Clockwork Kazooies work, but so do Grenade Eggs. He just has to eat it before he eats you. 10:00 Mad Jack? It’s interesting that the mooks are still moving towards you despite Kazooie breathing fire. Normally they run away. Wonder if that applies with Wonderwing. Anyways, this is why I really like the Weldar fight. The majority of Banjo Kazooie’s boss fights were mobs (Mutant Snippers in Clanker’s Cavern, Flibbits in Bubblegloop, and Zubbas ins Click Clock Woods). Only two of the bosses worked like normal bosses and were vulnerable to one type of move (Eggs for Conga if you can call him a boss and Rat-a-tat Rap for Nipper) and followed the rule of three. Boss Boom Box was a hybrid of the two while Grunty was a marathon where only one move at a time worked against her, also having a gimmick in terms of the Jinjo pedestals. Meanwhile every boss in this game has been super gimmicky. Targitzan was a shooter segment that had you hitting glowing targets on his body while avoiding his attacks and mobs. Old King Coal had a timer and literal the floor is lava (but is otherwise the third most straightforward boss thus far). Mr. Patch has weak points you need to shoot while aerial aiming or using Beak Bomb save for the first one, Lord Woo Fak Fuk also had weak points only with underwater aiming, and Terry had mobs and would move around a lot after using ranged attacks (most straightforward). Klungo also has been using potions but otherwise follows a pretty basic attack pattern also with the rule of three being his health. Weldar is a happy marriage between gimmicks and Terry and creates a fight that doesn’t get stale. Each phase for the first three phases is a unique action. Phase 1 is fireballs before he tries to eat you. Phase 2 is mobs before he tries to eat you. Phase 3 is jumping before he tries to eat you. Then at half health he repeats the cycle again only the floor’s now electrified. He’s otherwise not repeating the same moves with each hit. 11:20 Also the low pitched Wahey! He’s the only boss who says it, which is a win in my book. 12:48 And you can also physically talk to Weldar any time you like unlike with Old King Coal and without having to hurt him like with Lord Woo Fak Fuk. He’s been very accommodating for a boss. 13:33 That kinda sounds like what she thinks of Secrets of the Ooze versus the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. 15:00 I think Jules has named some videos or VODs using that phrase, though I don’t know if his VODs are monetized. 18:51 I’ve never actually seen any Austin Powers movie in full, but I did see parts of the first one, so I guess the original is my favorite by default. 19:33 Weldar flat out said how you get there. You were both busy talking about Austin Powers though and probably missed that or misunderstood. 20:44 Well even then you still have time back to Jolly Roger’s Lagoon to help the kids because you’re only half done with that; the water’s still cold. 23:23 There’s something comforting about the familiar and knowing what’s coming up. 24:02 2 has “Two in the box, ready to go! We be fast and they be slow!” 29:26 That was weird. You can see the toxic cloud inside that barrel for a second there. 30:27 Who? Nico? HighRoller? Haruka? Gentle? They all strike me as knowing Danger Zone even if they haven’t seen Top Gun, and Tom’s definitely quoted Danger Zone. Definitely not Chilled. 31:36 “He” huh? So that narrows it down to Nico and HighRoller. I’d be very surprised if it was Nico. Just checked Twitter. It’s HighRoller. Still surprising that they managed to avoid hearing Danger Zone. Feel like I’ve heard it so many times growing up and even in some AMVs, though the last time I can recall hearing a recording of a song and not Tom or someone else singing it was Freshman year of High School, 2006 or 2007, in someone’s presentation. Not the most tasteful choice given the subject matter… And Lucah straight up says it seconds after I checked (Boss had QRT’d Lucah about this, and this explains why. Classic Boss-Lucah dynamic, just calling each other out). 32:00 ‘92. Never seen Top Gun but I’ve known of it for a bit (though I didn’t really until it was brought up in Bonds Beyond Time Abridged) and I’d definitely listened to Danger Zone before. 32:30 Oh, you’re doing this as Banjo solo? This will go great! Kazooie alone is the way to go, though you can do it with Banjo and Kazooie together. Twinklies are back! 35:20 I do it. Kazooie’s significantly faster without having to keep Banjo on her back, faster still with the shoes. She can collect so many Twinklies that it’ll be a while before it seems like she’s too slow to get any more. The backpack is not required. Kazooie clearly doesn’t need it to use her eggs or red feathers. 36:56 At least you don’t need to backtrack to Witchyworld in that episode. You are absolutely done with it unless you want the Madame Grunty cheat.
5:56 Yep, here's the door to the basement. The timing was impeccable and honestly, seeing how you tackle this game on your own (with the occasional suggestions from the comments) is part of the fun! 11:24 I always did this fight the intended way i.e. using Grenade Eggs, but wow is it way easier if you use Clockwork ones like you did, good job! 18:48 I think I've watched only the first movie so unfortunately I can't say which one is the best. 32:53 Didn't know you could even play this minigame as solo Banjo, interesting! 36:42 Good job finishing Grunty Industries for now, overall you did pretty well!
Lol what were the odds that today we'd get to watch Emile struggle with the hardest part of Kazooie's most infamous world *and* Lucah struggle with the hardest part of Tooie's most infamous world? ...Granted, in this case it's debatable which part of Grunty Industries is the hardest. It's usually up in the air between Weldar, Quality Control, and Clinker's Cavern. Plus, while Grunty Industries is the most widely hated world in Tooie, I definitely think World 8 is the worst one
@@smb-c3po Again, I believe that they have stated in other videos before (and possibly on Twitter) that they are both straight. If they have stated that they're in a relationship together, then that's fine; I'm all for it. But don't be assuming something about them that may or may not be true. (again, I'm not a homophobe, I'd be all for them being a couple myself) Also, just in general, it's not cool to be shipping real people together. They have their own actual lives outside the internet, and us viewers do not have the authority, or the right, to tell them who they should hook up with. Who they *DO* hook up with, is nobody's business, but theirs, and only theirs. It's their call if they want to tell us who they're dating, but if they want to keep that stuff private, then we should respect that. Just saying.
@@smb-c3po Do you know for sure that they're gay? Did they actually say anything about being a couple? Can you show me the Twitter post to confirm this? Also, straight people DO exist. I'm one of them.
If you guys do DK64 it would definitely have to be probably Jon playing 90%, also probably a good time after this one because the games are so similar haha. But with that said...it is really similar to this game, and is probably the closest thing to a Banjo 3 out there. There's some good funny stuff in the game as well (also the Weldar boss also has always reminded me of that game soo yea)
Turns out humba doesn't like mumbo because she found out about his swedish enlarger pump. Mumbo: this not Mumbo's bag baby! Kazooie: one book "swedish enlarger pumps and mumbo, this Mumbo's bag baby", written by mumbo jumbo Mumbo:......ah ':/
Goldmember is my favorite, but probably only because it's the only one I recall seeing in full and also the one I've seen the most. The scenes in Japan where they mess with the subtitles with the foreground and the classic "RUN! IT'S GODZILLA!" moment are my favorite parts. Remaining collectible requirements and locations (for sake of helping Lucah and Jon) **Spiral Mountain/Isle O' Hags** *Jinjos: 1* Cliff Top (Claw Clamber Recommended) **Mayahem Temple** Complete! **Glitter Gulch Mine** *Jiggies: 1* Behind the Waterfall (Springy-step required) **Witchyworld** Complete! **Jolly Roger's Lagoon** *Jiggies: 2* 1. Tiptup's Egg (Requires Hatch) 2. The second Austin Powers movie is my personal favorite. 3 has some excellent jokes but I just don't feel it all comes together nearly as well. Still love all 3 films tho
Ah Weldar. I remember loving that fight as a kid, though I never thought to try the clockwork eggs. I always used the grenade eggs. Either way he's done and you guys did good! Grunty Industries is cleaned up more than I ever remember doing in my youth. Personally I grew up with Goldmember, so that's the Austin Powers movie I know best, though the first one is excellent as well. I think I really like 2 because I watch it so infrequently that a lot of it feels fresh to me if that makes sense. Like Mini Me getting launched into space. I still reference "Poor little bugger, I salute you!" to this day.
Oh I watch so many old movies that I like. Honestly there are so many movies I've seen dozens of times, and honestly it surprises me when people say they only watch a movie once and that's it
Wow, never thought about using Clockwork Kazooie Eggs on Weldar as I didn’t think it would be enough time to get the clockwork Kazooie out, and the fact you did it that close to Weldar while he’s vacuuming you was pretty risky of getting hurt. Good job. As mentioned, the intended way is to stand at one of the corners so Weldar can’t pull you in while he’s vacuuming and shoot either Fire Eggs or Grenade Eggs into his mouth. And yes, you can also do the Packing Room mini-game with just Kazooie as it makes it faster to collect the Twinklies without Banjo on her back. Having Banjo’s backpack has nothing to do with the mini-game; it’s just a coincidence that it’s called the Packing Room. Also, Goldmember is my favorite Austin Powers movie as well.
I genuinely had to chuckle as I got the de-synced video and I was wondering if it was on my end so I reloaded and guess what video was privated. Good to see it all worked out though.
I feel like during Banjo-Kazooie you also had a discussion about whether the 2nd or 3rd Austin Powers was better. I forget the level name but it was the swamp world, Mumbo turned you into a crocodile and Lucah beat a super-hard minigame first try. Tiptup was also there, I think, and it was probably where you got the wellie-boots since they're made for navigating such terrain.
I love all three Austin Powers movies a lot, but if I absolutely had to a favorite it would be Goldmember if nothing more than the scene where they have Austin misreading subtitles thinking they're dirtier than they are. I don't know why, but that scene just gets me every time.
for some reason I thought the boss was going to be the mouthpiece that's been talking to you the whole level, like it's been talking to you in the background and suddenly you find the thing and it's ready to fight you for making a mess of the factory. I've heard people talk about austin powers, a lot of people like them, I just don't feel like I want to watch them. like I can laugh at some crude jokes, I just don't know how much crudeness I'd enjoy.
If I had a nickel for every time Reese and Jon had a discussion about Austin Powers Movies during a Banjo playthrough, I'd have two nickels. Which isnt alot, but its weird that it happened twice.
Hands down Goldmember was my favorite. Lol honestly they were all funny but this one was the best. Really loving this series already ready for the next one 😁
Weldar my beloved… my favorite boss in the game. Never thought of using clockwork eggs on him. I went with fire because the dragon form gave an infinite amount of them. Good job getting him on the first try though!
Two of my many… fave Austin powers moments: - Allow myself to introduce… myself. My name is Richie Cunningham and this is my wife Oprah - WHO DOES #2 WORK FOR
Not with movies so much, but I will rewatch shows I love constantly when I can't decide what to watch or just need background noise. Mainly Simpsons, King of the Hill, Bob's Burgers, Family Guy, and recently Beavis and Butthead since the new movie came out.
Turning on a cigarrette, opening up the video, and immediately seeing a close up of Mumbo was the funniest shit to me for some reason. made my brain question reality for a sec.
I love you two also yes resse is right gold member for the win I also love how they constantly hinting at the tractor beam coming from the sub's ass xD
I have a Yahoo account, but only technically; Yahoo was the email partner of our ISP when we switched from AOL in 2003. These days, I hardly ever use my Yahoo email (and it's not even Yahoo anymore; it's "Currently, from AT&T"), but it is still active and emails do still go to it. I just never actually, y'know, _read_ them.
I like Austin Powers 3 the most. It's probably because of my Japanese knowledge now in retrospect, but the subtitle bit has me rolling every time. Also Masi Oka was in that movie?! He's the one who talks about how "due to legal licensing reasons, it's actually not godzilla" and then he and the other guy run away from the "godzilla" anyway. Then there's like a person in a charmander costume running around? Lots of little things that I find really funny. OH, and the bit with Nathan Lane lip-syncing to Beyonce? Really hilarious. But I am with Jon, that opening bit with the "fake" movie. Though the whole sequence after is great. Steven Speilberg doing backflips across the backlot. Though as a note, if memory serves, the Will Ferrel character is ONLY in 1 and 2. He gets killed off early on in 1, and they only see him again in 2 because of time travel.
About your Austin Powers question; I'm 24 and have yet to watch any of those movies. You two talking about it made me think I really should get on that, I have to be missing out.
after you have unlocked mumbo for the world you can, as banjo and kazooie, stand in the green pillar on the first floor and hit A or B to play as mumbo
I never knew you could use the Clockwork eggs for this fight. I thought it had to exclusively be grenade eggs. I wish I knew this because one thing I liked doing in the boss battle option was to finish off what bosses I could using the clockwork egg.
Purely from memory I’d hafta say Gold Member was my favorite. I could recite so many lines from it when I was little. I haven’t seen the movies in so long though. I should give them a rewatch. It’s been over 15 years so I’m curious to see if Gold Member ends up staying my favorite or not.
I think Goldmember makes me laugh the most because of how it builds off of the first two. AND I will forever be upset that the Will Ferrel bit is not in third movie because its my favorite bit.
Mumbo was so mad about you assuming he had Gonorrhoea that he de-synced the video. MUMBO IS THE NEW BARBARA EVERYONE ! Also my mom also still has her old Yahoo address lol. She's like 50 and she doesn't like change, so same, Reese :P
I remembered the last Cheato page in Grunty Industries because during 100% speedruns you're able to get behind the fan that hides Weldar's jiggy, and then you time jumps across the pipe leading the page to actually end the run. I have no idea how that routing works, I just know i've seen compilations where runs died by falling into the Weldar fight numerous times.
@@fabuloussuperstar Easier said than done, the videos i'm referring to aren't specific to the game, it's collections of submitted and approved clips of numerous games and runners. The channels they're on are GladJonas and SpeedrunFails, and said channels have hundreds of videos of speedrunning moments each, so as you might imagine that's a lot to parse through.
I saw the second Austin Powers movie when I was 8, and I think everything went sailing over my head. I watched it again on the bus home from camp when I was 15, and it was only then that I understood the running gag with what the rocket looks like. I'd also rather watch an old favourite movie than a new one. I only make exceptions for musicals.
With a pin my favorite Austin Powers quote is "Alright Goldmember, don't play the laughing boy. There are only 2 things I can't stand in this world: people who are intolerant of other people's cultures, and the Dutch."
Call me boring but I liked the first one the most, which paid the most attention to the main premise of the 60s superspy and mastermind transplanted to the (then) modern era and how they might handle it (all of Dr. Evil's schemes have already happened, 'Don't you think we should ask for more, I mean, a million dollars isn't really a lot of money these days'). The sequels focused more on gross-out humor, which has its' place, but I think the 1st endures better. You don't actually need Clockwork Eggs for Weldar. Pooping 6 Grenades is enough. Also, Weldar not being able to tell Banjo is a bear (d'oh!) is funny.
I have my old Yahoo account and still use it somewhat actively. Mostly for a mix of old stuff and stuff I don’t want to touch with my main account (as well as, for whatever reason, Patreon)
Have you seen Playframe playing this same game? They have an episode called Blue Ones Are Worth Three where they run into these mini games no less than three times in one episode.
@@StarkMaximum No, it's just something that's been etched into my mind ever since I played this game myself. It's wild how often they used what is essentially the same minigame but with different sprites.
fun thing is iaustin powers 2 is the movie who made me discover the franchise back in high school when that movie was still sort of new saw it in school on a open house day event we did heather graham was intrseting the reason i liked the movie back then always liked her since
They may have put Wumba's Wigwam purely for the alliteration, because Humba's Wigwam wouldn't have sounded awkward and Humba is her first name, but they went with her last name anyway.
I'm with you Luca, Goldmember was my favorite. The bits were the funniest. The character development was hilarious. Michael Cane was a dynamite Powers Sr. Beyonce was the best of the 3 Powers girls. Like it was just hit after hit.
Goldmember is my favorite but I love each and every one of them. My favorite bit is probably the Hard Knock Life musical number and also MOLEY MOLEY MOLE! WE'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO TALK ABOUT THE MOLE!

@@joshuareesor1756 which boss? Hailfire peaks has 2
@@awesomeocelot7475 I was being vague since Lucah hadn't been to Hailfire Peaks by this point, but it applies to both of them.
8:27 I love that Weldar launched you back into the grenade egg and it got picked back up.
"Oops, you dropped this."
I am so glad that someone else loves Goldmember as much as I do lmao. It's my favorite of the Austin Powers movies.
Dr. Evil:
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to my submarine lair. It's long, hard and full of seaman!
Dr. Evil:
No? Nothing? Not even a titter? Tough sub...
Lucah, probably: Mumbo gave the clap to so many people it sounded like applause
I'm rather partial to the conversation Austin and his dad have in "English" in front of the Asian twins
I have a big soft spot for Goldmember since I watched it the most, and find it most quotable lol
"Hey Dr. Evil! Can I paint his yoo-hoo GAWLD? It's kind of my thing."
(Dr. Evil slowly approaches Goldmember in his chair)
"HOW ABOUT *NO*, you freaky Dutch bastard?!"
18:47
Goldmember’s my favorite flick,
Here’s two good moments real quick.
“Godzilla” was pretty droll,
And we can’t forget the *MOLE!*
We're not supposed to talk about the mole but there's a bloody mole!
Hello don't mind me just came here from watching Emile getting destroyed in Rusty Bucket Bay and now here for Tooie's equalivant on that lol
Also good job on beating the Weldar fight first try! That fight was sooooooo tough for me the first time easily the hardest non-final boss in the series
I ship Emile and Tim together, they're total daddies.
"If you are going to talk naughty things in front of these American girls, then at least speak *English* English."
"All right, my son. I could've had it away with this cracking Julie my old China."
"Are you telling a bunch pork pies and a bag of trout? Because if you are feeling quigly why not just have a J. Arthur?"
"What, billy no mates?"
"Too right, youth."
"Don't you remember the crimbo din din we had with the grotty Scots bint?"
"Oh, the one that was all sixes and sevens!"
"Yeah, yeah, she was the trouble and strife of the Morris dancer that lived up the apples and pears!"
"She was the barrister what become a bobby in a lorry and..."
"???????"
"...tea kettle!"
"And then, and then..."
"She shat on a turtle!"
I never understood what the story Austin's dad tells has to do with Austin telling him to just wank earlier in the conversation. Why bring that up in response to that.
The old version had some lag,
Now we’ve got this in the bag.
Weldar’s boss fight is the GOAT,
Win by pooping down his throat!
Twinkly mini-game you need,
Kazooie to beat with speed.
For the next world, here’s advice,
Where there’s fire, poop some ice.
So, Jon didn't point this out, but the Twinklies are from the Christmas stage in the first game. They're the little Christmas lights that you helped get into the Christmas tree
What does Austin Powers say when he's playing this game and needs to recover his health?
Oh, beehive!
“Too right, youth.”
TIL where the Knocked Loose song came from.
Maybe if he falls from the fourth floor down to the third using that shaft…
2:40 I think it’s really just for the alliteration.
We be fast and they be slow!”
29:26 That was weird.
Not the most tasteful choice given the subject matter…
And Lucah straight up says it seconds after I checked (Boss had QRT’d Lucah about this, and this explains why.
It was absolutely rude of Twitter.
Austin Powers 2 was my favorite movie. Time travel shenanigans are always a blast.
I bet Emile struggles when he and Tim are in bed together.
@@smb-c3po Again, I believe that they have stated in other videos before (and possibly on Twitter) that they are both straight. If they have stated that they're in a relationship together, then that's fine; I'm all for it. But don't be assuming something about them that may or may not be true. (again, I'm not a homophobe, I'd be all for them being a couple myself)
Also, just in general, it's not cool to be shipping real people together.
@@CodeNameVixen There's no such this as heterosexual and they're clearly in denial.
@@smb-c3po Do you know for sure that they're gay? Did they actually say anything about being a couple? Can you show me the Twitter post to confirm this? Also, straight people DO exist. I'm one of them.
@@CodeNameVixen Heterosexuality is just a myth invented by society during a more intolerant time.
I definitely agree with Lucah that Fat Bastard's scenes are a lot more gross than Goldmember's skin flakes.
Seconded. I definitely gagged when Austin drank Fat Bastard's shit-coffee
Kazooie: one book "swedish enlarger pumps and mumbo, this Mumbo's bag baby", written by mumbo jumbo
Mumbo:......ah ':/
So fun fact about the "Dear Mario" meme: I submitted my own about the clapping of Peach's cake~
16:20 IIRC correctly you can sink Kazooie to the bottom via leg spring (hold down A and she'll keep in a descending animation, even through water)...
I deleted my Yahoo account a couple years ago. With how often I had to change my password whenever they got hacked, I had little choice.
Goldmember is my favorite, but probably only because it's the only one I recall seeing in full and also the one I've seen the most. The scenes in Japan where they mess with the subtitles with the foreground and the classic "RUN! IT'S GODZILLA!" moment are my favorite parts.

Lucah dosen't like donkey kong because he has the same back as banjo.
>Lucah implying Mumbo either gave Humba or one of her friends the clap
Lucah. Instead of a 3D platformer, your next platformer should be Klonoa. It's cute as hell. I think you'd like it..
Jon seemed really opposed to having Kazooie collect the Twinklies considering how much easier she makes it.
I've never seen an Austin powers movie so it's very interesting hearing you vaguely describe scenes and quote stuff
I feel like during Banjo-Kazooie you also had a discussion about whether the 2nd or 3rd Austin Powers was better. I forget the level name but it was the swamp world, Mumbo turned you into a crocodile and Lucah beat a super-hard minigame first try. Tiptup was also there, I think, and it was probably where you got the wellie-boots since they're made for navigating such terrain.
spy who shagged me is my fav, but i need to rewatch them all, it's been too long.
Welcome back! Glad you got your audio fixed.
didn't know the clockwork eggs stopped you from getting sucked, I just fired fire eggs from the front and hoped for the best
Oh my god, I forgot about the basement. This world is so big, my lord
I'm sure plenty of people out there ship Mumbo and Humba clap or no clap.
You did it!
Now for my favorite world in the game!
Chad really got an upgrade. Rip chad. You will be remembered in this Austin power episode with Danger Zone being played.
Weldar my beloved… my favorite boss in the game. Never thought of using clockwork eggs on him. I went with fire because the dragon form gave an infinite amount of them. Good job getting him on the first try though!
*8:28* The grenade egg got picked back up. Got spat back onto it.
I remembered the Austin Powers divulge in this episode and watched all 3 recently. They're a fun jem in Myers' career.
Gold Member is my favorite of the 3 too. It was also the first one I saw, so that may be why too haha.
25:50 as someone who works in a hotel with an elevator…yes I have also clicked on the wrong floor and button all the time.
3 is my favorite by far, it's the funniest one to me!
Two of my many… fave Austin powers moments:
- Allow myself to introduce… myself. My name is Richie Cunningham and this is my wife Oprah
- WHO DOES #2 WORK FOR
Not with movies so much, but I will rewatch shows I love constantly when I can't decide what to watch or just need background noise. Mainly Simpsons, King of the Hill, Bob's Burgers, Family Guy, and recently Beavis and Butthead since the new movie came out.
We put up anything you do cause we love you
Turning on a cigarrette, opening up the video, and immediately seeing a close up of Mumbo was the funniest shit to me for some reason. made my brain question reality for a sec.
As a fellow Calgarian... you've "ya"d your last "hoo" Banjo
Kazooie: only 2 things scare me, one is nuclear war
Banjo: what's the other?
Kazooie: CARNIES!!! Circus folk, they smell like cabbage! XP
Nigel Powers comment about bigotry and the Dutch always gets me cracking up
“There are only two things I can't stand in this world: people who are intolerant of other people's cultures, and the Dutch.” Love this line 😂
1:10 honestly yes, My first Email was a yahoo account, and I use it exclusively.
Goldmember is the best and nobody can change my mind.
Mind passing those compilations over? 👀

Dang, it's alright tho man, don't worry about it!
1:07 I can't believe I'm being called out like this
8:52
Laughed harder than I should from that
I genuinely can't say which is my favorite, because I love them all so much. 3 is a strong contender though
Be sure to look inside the fridge at Grunty Industries Employee Room.
I have my old Yahoo account and still use it somewhat actively. Mostly for a mix of old stuff and stuff I don’t want to touch with my main account (as well as, for whatever reason, Patreon)
I keep half-expecting you to end the speaker's dialogue with "Wesley..."
After playing this game, at least you'll always remember: red = 1 point, green = 2 points, blue = 3 points.
@@Commodore128 No I mean like you should go watch it it's very funny.
By default, my favorite Austin Powers movie is The Spy Who Shagged Me, because it's the only one I've actually seen.
I love how 3 years later Austin Powers is still brought up :)
grenade eggs also work for weldar and are more plentiful
The first Austin Powers movie will always be my favourite!
You are amazing
I could have gone my whole life without knowing what Jon looks like, no offense to him.
fun thing is iaustin powers 2 is the movie who made me discover the franchise back in high school when that movie was still sort of new saw it in school on a open house day event we did heather graham was intrseting the reason i liked the movie back then always liked her since
They may have put Wumba's Wigwam purely for the alliteration, because Humba's Wigwam wouldn't have sounded awkward and Humba is her first name, but they went with her last name anyway.
I'm with you Luca, Goldmember was my favorite. The bits were the funniest. The character development was hilarious. Michael Cane was a dynamite Powers Sr. Beyonce was the best of the 3 Powers girls. Like it was just hit after hit.
Also reading the subtitles while they were in Japan got me.
Goldmember is my favorite but I love each and every one of them. My favorite bit is probably the Hard Knock Life musical number and also MOLEY MOLEY MOLE! WE'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO TALK ABOUT THE MOLE!
Oh damn and "Daddy Wasn't There". ... WHY IS AUSTIN POWERS SO GOOD??
