    Could you explain in more detail the connections to the network switch? I’m having trouble with the software and want to be sure I have it all connected properly. When you connected the computer to it, what was the cable that was plugged into the first input?

    I recently bought a pair of kh 120 and single Kh 750 dsp. Thinking of getting the MA-1 to calibrate them. Do I need to keep the network switch connected at all times even after calibration or is it just necessary for calibration?

      probably the speaker / sub saves the preset into its brain. no connection needed after calibration with network switch.

    Hi a short additional question. If my Monitor Controller has a possibility to host a subwoofer, should I connect the subwoofer to the device, in my case a SPL monitor controller marcone, or should it still be connected as you described? Thank you for considering a answer 👍🏻🙏🏻

      Was told by Neumann that it is possible with a little manual tweaking inside the app. At least we should expect this workaround solution to be officially published by Neumann until the software gets fully compatible with multiple subs!

    When using the KH750 with analog monitors, the image in the video says a Network Switch is, "not necessary if special Ethernet cable is used." I looked up special Ethernet cables, but could not find one. What exactly is meant by "special Ethernet cable"?

    • @GeorgNeumannGmbH

      Hi Sam! You don't need a special ethernet cable; a standard one will suffice!

      I've set the KH750 to Network Control Mode and connected it to KH120s. The ethernet cable is connected directly to the computer. The MA-1 software does not recognize the sub or the monitors and a circle keeps on spinning.
      I've granted the MA-1 software full access on local and private networks when installing in Windows. I also updated my ethernet drivers with Intel and temporarily deactivated the firewall to allow all outgoing and incoming network connections. Any ideas on why I can't get the connection? Thank you in advance!

    Cooles System! Das Einzige was mich stört ist die Verwendung von Netzwerkkabeln und insbesondere das Zwischenschalten eines Network Switches. So ein Ding muss man sich ggf. dazu kaufen und hinterher liegt es sinnlos rum. Wäre es nicht sinnvoll (machbar) gewesen das Ganze über USB zu lösen? Hi, I use a RME Babyface to calibrate the System with 2 KH80DSP and the Subwoofer KH750. The BF feeds the sound in to a Behringer Monitor2USB and then in the KH750 which feeds then 2 KH80. Would it be possible to change the path of wiring after the calibration/alignment and skip the BF and use the usb connection oft the Monitor2usb and connect the KH80 direct to the Monitor2usb also the subwoofer. So I can switch between 2 sets of monitors and use also headphones. Will the image change if the BF not in the path. The Monitor2usb works also as a soundcard, but is not recognized by the Neumann M1 software, also it has no phantom power. Would be great to have a monitor controller from Neumann who sits in the center of this system, like Genelec does it. Or can you recommend a better monitor controller?

    • @GeorgNeumannGmbH
      @GeorgNeumannGmbH  6 місяців тому

      The MA 1 measurement data is stored directly on the speaker's DSP. You can therefore also change the cable routing at the audio interface level as long as you use the same inputs on the KH 750. If you change the input signal on the subwoofer (for example you switch from analogue XLR to digital AES3) a new setup with AES3 input would have to be created in MA 1 and a new measurement would also have to be carried out. Regarding Monitor Controller please have a look on the Neumann MT 48.

    • @GeorgNeumannGmbH

      Hi Ria, you can use your monitor controller in the alignment process. Your signal routing does not have to change here.
      Don't forget to turn off the hardware monitoring during the calibration process though. For further questions, please contact oliver.westphal@sennheiser.com or call +493920372741.

    Hi, I was hoping you could help me out here. I bought 2x KH150 with the MA1 mic. I bought a network switch and connected it to my mac mini ethernet port. I connected my ethernet port on my Mac Mini to the switch, also i connected both ports from the speakers to the switch. The mic is connected to a Tascam Model 24, which is via USB connected to my Mac Mini. Also the switches in the back of the monitors are set to Network. So, I did all the steps explained in this video but the software keeps telling me that the speakers are not found. I'm getting a bit frustrated here because I own the complete kit since august 2023 and still didn't make use of the software because of this issue. I was in contact with your customer support, which did a great job of helping out but we couldnt find any solution. Any chance you know what's wrong? Thanks in advance

      An audio interface with at least one microphone input (with +48v) and stereo outputs is a requirement for MA 1 calibration. If running on Windows, the audio interface must provide an ASIO driver (Mac can be class compliant/CoreAudio.)

    • @GeorgNeumannGmbH
      @GeorgNeumannGmbH  3 роки тому +5

      Hi, you have the possibility to deactivate the automatic calibration by setting it to 'local'. By doing this, the switches on the KH 750 can be modified. When switching back to network, the original alignment done with the MA 1 is active even without the need to connect to the computer again.

    • @GeorgNeumannGmbH
      @GeorgNeumannGmbH  Рік тому

      While a non-Neumann monitor could be theoretically connected to a KH 750 and subsequently calibrated, we cannot guarantee the end results will be satisfactory. The MA 1 solution is designed and spec’d for our monitors specifically.
      It’s not that it may not work - it’s that we cannot guarantee the satisfactory results of such configurations.

    • @GeorgNeumannGmbH
      @GeorgNeumannGmbH  Рік тому

      Hi Felipe, a network switch is definitely recommended, especially if there is more than one DSP-enabled monitor in the configuration - so a KH 750 + KH80, or 120 II, or 150. If it’s just the one KH 750 sub plus analog speakers like the KH 120 A D, 310, or 420 - they may not need the switch if your computer has an ethernet port to directly the sub to. This can and has worked. You would still need WiFi for any firmware updates. But a network switch (or router) is generally advised, and absolutely necessary with more than one DSP enabled speaker.

    • @GeorgNeumannGmbH
      @GeorgNeumannGmbH  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Ria! The KH 750 has a very precise built-in x-over, which fits perfectly to our loudspeakers. It also has very flexible gain setting options and further acoustical options to be able to align it ideally to Neumann KH-line loudspeakers. In combination with our MA 1 - Automatic Monitor Alignment it is even possible to align our DSP loudspeakers automatically. In combination with the KH 750, our analog loudspeakers can then be aligned as well and optimized in their phase response.
      However, with this flexibility it is of course possible to connect other brand loudspeakers even if we think best results would be achieved in combination with our loudspeakers 😉.

    • @GeorgNeumannGmbH
      @GeorgNeumannGmbH  3 роки тому +2

      Hello Ria,
      It is possible to align a system consisting of a KH 750 DSP in combination with connected other monitors. Important for the alignment is that monitors are connected to the subwoofer and the connected speakers reproduce an appropriate level and frequency response.
      In your case you should connect the outputs of your KH 750 to your amplifier which is connected to your NS10. Please level the amp by playing some music, switching the KH 750 to local mode and setting the level to 100 dB SPL and the gain to 0 dB.
      Then switch back to network mode and go through the MA 1 adjustment and define the KH 120 as monitors.
