Very cool episode Brenton, lots of money in south Florida. Julie and I came through the areas you have been showing when we did what we call the "southern loop".It was a great trip and our little Corsair 880 Sport Trimaran performed flawlessly. We have made the decision to sale our condo in Key Largo and move on to our off-grid property in Southern Alabama. The taxes and homeowners insurance have tripled in the last 3 years, it's time to sell, we have it listed at $1.6 million. Our property in Alabama is about 3 hours north of Panama City, Florida, were going to find a nice marina down there to keep the boat. The property we bought in Alabama is 2.78 acres and sits on a beautiful 800 acre spring feed private lake and it's full of quality fish. My wife is a critical care RN nurse, the hospital she works at in Miami has an affiliate hospital in Dothan, Alabama so she can just transfer. It will be about a 15 mile ride for her...
@@backwatersandbackroads That's why we decided to go off-grid, no mortgage, no overpriced homeowners insurance, low taxes, no electric bill, or water and sewer bill.
It always surprises me buddy. On the way home, someone at a truck stop recognized the barge and the beagle, they said "I never thought I'd meet a celebrity." I replied, "well you still haven't" ;) lol

where you were at in Bradenton Beach. The whole island is Anna Maria Island, with 3 small towns, Bradenton Beach, Holmes Beach, and Anna Maria. And right across from that mooring field where u were at is Cortez Fl, where I am going to be putting an RV at. We love that area of Florida.
Another grand tour and thanks for bringing us along! I must say, the congestion of South Florida does have a lot of beauty, man....that waterway traffic would have me on pins and needles. Kudos to you for traversing through unscathed!😊
Very awesome video of you crossing Tampa Bay I've been living on Terra ciea Bay and Tampa Bay for ep years+ great fish in these waters. Palmetto is where I live 1 mile from the skyway bridge Bradenton Florida is 10 miles away from me but been all over the waters.... Would love to do the great loop myself...
The loop/icw is certainly a powerboat trip. Hard core man. 👍 Isn’t it all about dingy docs and Publix? :) That Bradenton Beach is one of my favorite spots. Super easy living in boats and vans.
That is where I grew up. Lived there about 40 years. Got to be way too many folks for me. Raised on Boca Ciega bay which is where you were thru most of this episode. There are like 6 million folks in Tampa Bay Area. I bailed. Live in Ouachita mountains of western Arkansas by Lake Ouachita. I think you'd appreciate it in Montgomery County. Google it. Raised on Shanty boats grandpa built at St. Petersburg Beach. When I moved here bought a Yukon Delta houseboat. Wish still had it Great looper boat! I look forward to watching your vids Thanks for all your effort.

Howdy Captain. Smart, not letting the state indoctrinate your children. How we ever started letting the state "raise" our children was the beginning of the end :( we have 2 power solar generators sent to us, still in boxes. We're going to have to pull those out and see what they are. The solar system on the barge handles everything, so we don't need it there...but some other builds coming up ;)

Absolutely. Florida is like California, loved to death and too many people:( on a boat is about the only way to escape the crowds...and even that is difficult
When dolphins 🐬 are near, whistle seberal times they will come close and surface. I've found that works well for me. I use the two finger whistle so it's very loud, audible. 🤗🐬
Good thought to consider u threw out at 32:56. I like it. So how to handle the other half a year? Assuming the heat bothered ya and felt the need to move. @@backwatersandbackroadsI’ll definitely agree on the back a fourth for the season’s. My last video picked up great momentum I can say I never thought when I started this channel it would get as much notice as it has.
Well the hot topic here in Oklahoma City is tgat Brenton and Wavey have called it a wrap over in NC and headed back to the Northland. Talk of the town now....
Time out of mind. Curious where you are in real time, the Carolina's by now? Hey man, would love to hear the Chris Craft story. I absolutely love those old timers.
That Beach you couldn't pronounce is Ma Deer Ah. (According to some lifelong St.Pete friends of mine) Too bad you didn't enter the St. Pete Beach waterways. They link up to St. Petersburg & Tampa Bay. (somehow) I've ridden Harleys with my friends all around that area. Lots of draw bridges. Navigating over them is much different than under I'm sure.
In what, four or five episodes, you'll be done with your loop footage til late next year? I'm gonna encourage you to continue posting your other adventures over the next year or so, because I know you'll be up to something. Thanks for the great videos😉
Oh yes, the adventures never really end here ;) while I'm "wrapping up" this leg of the loop, I'll be putting current time videos up on out backup channel. It's linked in the descriptions of the videos here. It's called "Brenton's Riverside Hermitage" I'm not pushing anyone to subscribe over there, it's just a spot to catch supplemental vidoes. Please don't go anywhere....we're far from over;)
I totally agree with you on temperatures, once it gets in the 80s and humid, I'm miserable. And just so you know, a 'no pet' sign cannot be enforced if you have a service animal dog, to do so would be illegal.. and nobody can ask you for paperwork or to prove your dog is a service animal..
Speaking on the money in FL & young men on big boats, I think it's a lot of generational wealth in those areas. Especially Naples. I have gone down to visit my aunt in Naples the last couple winters. Every time I would see an ostentatious display of wealth, immediately how do they make their money??? Ppl are pretty cool in FL overall! 😄
Capt I bet when those high dollar boats pull up to the fuel dock there credit card turn red hot that 60 Yamaha work's fine for me, and Wavey is a chick magnet that alone paid his room and board, got to say you do a nice job editing your video you can tell there were some time put in to them.👍
I love this entire area from Indian Rocks Beach on down to Pass-A-Grill. Beautiful area. That big bridge is the Skyway Bridge. You do have to watch it in Tampa Bay. Lots of shallow, shoaly areas off the marked channels for those who have never navigated this area before and you plan to cruise this area.
March 16th? I didn't realize this was three months behind. Where are you now? I am celebrating this video on my birthday today so I was a teeny bit sad I'm not on your realtime. Ah well, great video as always Brenton, sending well wishes and calm seas to you and Wavey!
Btw,my baby Izzy is 14 today. When I got her she was close enough to where we celebrate the same birthday. Izzy is my sweet Jack Russel x Rat Terrier cross.
Who needs a wingman when you got a spoiled Beagle luring 3 at a time.. I grew up in that heat and humidity but as the years pass by I have to keep my old butt cooler and drier. Hope you’re doing the same by now.
@@backwatersandbackroads sounds great brother I e been suggesting your videos to a lot of my family and friends I hope I can help you get more views and likes and get your subs count higher this is really a great video and it’s cool what your doing I have not shut up about finding my own pontoon boat and make a lil shanty of my own for the future we’ll be safe and I will be waiting for the next show
Side Note. Why don't you consider taking a detour at Jacksonville, and travel up (south!) the St. Johns River. I'm betting that I'm not the only one that would enjoy. Best to you and Wavey
Put some more solar panels on your roof & install a 5000btu window AC to beat the heat. A 5000btu window AC uses @ 400W. 1000W of solar panels & 400Ah of LiFePO4 batteries can run a 5000btu window AC for @ 8 hours a day. Makes sleeping in Florida summer nights a lot better.
Ok Brenton, you got some stylish HISEA water shoes and a ICECO cooler to keep your beer and cheese curds cold. What about Wavey ? I can't believe that CESAR hasn't sent Wavey a case or two of assorted flavors. All those companies want celebrity endorsements and they are missing out with Wavey. By the way thanks for blanking out the rap crap. Thought on all the high dollar boats and other "accessories " I think a lot of them are living to the extent of their credit and if any thing happened a rubber dinghy would be what they would be down too. Thanks for the video and be safe.❤
I might not be your best you-tuber... but I've been following you since Alabama... Okay... cool... this guy is headed south! FLA being my home state... I figured you would stop in my hometown! The video before this... was cool... My family settled in there... btw... that place has a lot more history there than you shown... then moved a bit more south... I use to camp out on those spoils... back then... there weren't so many... But no... beyond me... why you didn't stop... you could of stayed there easily for a week! Free Day Docks available... tons of places to anchor... Gas/Food all within a couple of blocks... the absolute best kayaking! Plus to top it off... the "Best Beach in the World"...

@@backwatersandbackroadsI’ll definitely agree on the back a fourth for the season’s. My last video picked up great momentum I can say I never thought when I started this channel it would get as much notice as it has.
@GJCAMPING keep going! ;)
Well the hot topic here in Oklahoma City is tgat Brenton and Wavey have called it a wrap over in NC and headed back to the Northland.
Talk of the town now....
We have. :) We're back in Superiorland for the summer. You'll like the Superiorland videos, I promise. And we'll finish the loop...trust me ;)
Hi 👋 Brenton and Wavey 😊😊😊
Hi Greg!! -Wavey Gravey;)
Time out of mind.
Curious where you are in real time, the Carolina's by now?
Hey man, would love to hear the Chris Craft story. I absolutely love those old timers.
That Beach you couldn't pronounce is Ma Deer Ah. (According to some lifelong St.Pete friends of mine)
Too bad you didn't enter the St. Pete Beach waterways. They link up to St. Petersburg & Tampa Bay.
(somehow)
I've ridden Harleys with my friends all around that area.
Please don't go anywhere....we're far from over;)
Question 😅 what happened to the white kayak? Now you have a red one! 😂
@gwrulzmylife I tried out a lot of ways to get on ans off the boat on the loop ;) the Portland Pudgy ended up being the one
“We’re slow pokers “ 😂 add me to the list
Those cat looking gigantors with 3 or 4 huge engines are made by Freeman. they are the rolls royce of boats.
Another good one Brent ol' boy. Pet the pooch for me.
Lovin It!!
Bill! always in my prayers buddy. I hope you're doing good.
29:43 😂
Absolutely!
I live at 55°N, I take 3 days to acclimate to the heat, then I'm good.
@@AndreaLKL72 either that or early adopters of bitcoin? ;)
Little fish swim too brother
I would rather have sweat dripping off my nose than be cold. Great vid
Born and raised in Florida. I'm with you.
@@jeromesuggs8330 Alabama & Texas
Capt I bet when those high dollar boats pull up to the fuel dock there credit card turn red hot that 60 Yamaha work's fine for me, and Wavey is a chick magnet that alone paid his room and board, got to say you do a nice job editing your video you can tell there were some time put in to them.👍
That’s my stomping grounds
Hey B! Please let me know went you get into the Merritt Island/Cocoa area, I'd love to meet you.
It’s Muh-deer-uh Beach, really simple. So happy I found your channel! ❤TN Nana
I grew up in Bradenton 50-60 years ago. The town (beach) you couldn't pronounce (Madeira) is Ma-Deer-Ah
Thank you! ;)
Who needs a wingman when you got a spoiled Beagle luring 3 at a time.. I grew up in that heat and humidity but as the years pass by I have to keep my old butt cooler and drier.
Hope you’re doing the same by now.
That’s a thought! 😲☝️Anyone ever do the loop on a jet ski? I’ve seen some videos of a long jet ski trip but not the loop.
Yes! Someone did it...it's here on YT ;)
Another great video brother God I love Florida and it’s energy and the beautiful view everywhere. Are you going down to the keys or Okeechobee
We took the Okeechobee...videos coming up for that. Stay tuned..
We traveled almost the entire length of the St. John's a couple winters ago on the Vagabond. Here on my channel. "Winter Beagle Escape"
Lol exactly I work construction, but in the mountains, once it hits 80+ I start to die
That would be amazing
That was the skyway bridge
Thank you!
You have solar, you need s small fan on you. It makes all the difference.
We got one. It does help. Thanks!
Hey Sir, keep a close eye for aggilators down that way this time of year. yes sir, they will go into the gulf.
I can see why people go back after a hurricane
Someone needs to step up and sponsor Wavey...you are right Melvin ;) of course, her fans here take decent care of her until that happens.
Have you played around with a few different pitch props on the shanty boat to figure out you best fuel usage?
I haven't but I need to
Your cool
