Guys I mentioned before, I'm a fishing nut. I have a Grady White with Yamaha power. I got a shot in my knee for bone to bone arthritis and ended up with a bone infection. I went septic it was bad. I haven't been on my boat in way to long. Watching you guys gives me some solace. I'm developing a hankering for sailing. I'm learning a lot from you two. Dino are you using a planing board when salmon fishing if not look into it. The pics are amazing on this one, really amazing TY guy's
You've brought a tear to my eye and a longing in my soul. A longing to sail those waters, breathe that air, and allow my eyes to feast on those mountains. Alas, at this age I will likely never be able. Tis okay. You've brought me enough of a dream to satisfy.
Age is no barrier to enjoying that area fly in charter fishing or sightseeing available year round in powell river or sechelt pl inlet is very cool desolation sound also just to north of Jervis inlet no rapids either that's sechelt inlet
Oh wow, this episode spectactular beyond words. Oh my god.... Thank you so much for taking us with you. It is a priviledge to be part of your journeys.
I grew up hiking those mountains, looking down on that very inlet, so satisfying to see Magic Carpet there under sail. You should see the view from the top, just as magical, but different.
My now wife and I were engaged at Chatterbox Falls, the summer of 2009, and married a month later. We were both widowed, and wondered if we would ever find love again in our mid 50’s. I took her and a group of friends with us on my 58’ Hatteras LRC. I proposed, I thought, when I said “would u consider spending the rest of your life with me?” And she said “yes”, so I thought our “engagement” was set. I announced it to all my friends on the boat that night. The next morning they were all congratulating her upon her recent engagement, at which point she said “I only said I would consider it, and I’m still considering it…” My balloon was deflated temporarily, until she hastened to say, in front of my friends, “of course, I’d love to spend my life with you”…..but she kept me dangling long enough to send a cold shudder of embarrassment through my bones. We’ve been married for 15 years now….but my knees were chattering at Chatterbox Falls… love the video…brings back all good memories.
Princess Louisa, we were told, was like Yosemite on a boat. The mountains, the cliffs, the waterfalls, the beautiful forests are unparalleled. Thank you for capturing it so stunningly.
I don't think any other UA-camr gets the pure beauty of mother nature like you do, spectacular! Honestly, the National Geographics of the world may come knocking.
The awesomeness of the creation is displayed in many different ways. Never lose the wonder of how many ways the Creator chose to express himself to us.
As 12 yr old, eating breakfast in the chalet in Les Marecottes, Switzerland looking into the darkness outside with the excited anticipation of the new day. A faint black line gave way to a more defined edge as the sun rose behind the mountains and we knew we were off to play out there pretty soon. My skiing days are over my new challenge is learning to sail. The mountains make sense to me, they are imposing, majestic, to be revered but respected. My family have been fortunate enough to ski Whistler, drove Highway 99 ourselves. BC and Canada is very special. Sailing won’t replace my mountains but my mountains aren’t sailing. Somehow, your filming put me right back into the Alps. Magical indeed.
I thoroughly and completely enjoyed the refit, watching the two of you bring MC2 back to life, but this, THIS, is what makes this channel so beautiful and inspiring. Stunning beyond words. Wow.
Truly ! This is one of your best works yet. The drone footage adds so much. Having such fantastic weather, good company, and being in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Life at its finest!
Have been so looking forward to this episode after the real-time snippet. We have incorporated a trip up the sound when we visit BC in June. Beautiful place and so well filmed and narrated by you. Cannot wait!
Your videos just get better and better. Thank you for the energy and love you put into them. You really brought the majesty of Princess Louisa Inlet to life for your viewers.
Watching you two sail into any landscape is always a pleasure, but watching you sail into home waters that I have sailed myself but have missed for too long brought tears rolling down my cheeks. I need to get back home soon!
Maya, your reactions to the beauty which surrounds you is written in the scriptures: “My creation declares My Glory!” I live in the Northwoods of Wisconsin snd feel in awe every day because His handiwork astounds me. Krystyna
Of all the places that you've shown us over the years, this is the most beautiful by far. MC2 looks like she's performing well, especially in the hands of very competent crew. Well done.
its been an absolute pleasure to watch the amazing fruitian of your work. Lovely boat and the pair of you are a credit to your parents. keep it up i for one will enjoy following your journey.
And just like that, the years in the shed and boatyard are a necessary, but slightly distant memory, and you can realise thier purpose. How beautiful..!! Love this epiode (as always) ❤
I was just thinking of the investment of dreams love and endurance that Magic Carpet required to unlock the path to this moment, how difficult it was to see the goal at times yet how richly that effort has been rewarded in just these moments in time, with so many more as yet unknown. You put it so much more in a nutshell, thank you. 👍🍻
I hate that I'm starting to sound like a broken record but I just keep having to say how freaking INCREDIBLE the videography is. The camera composition and music choices. OMG. So damn good. You have totally found your inner muse. I need something better than a like button for these videos.
Oh, how I love where mountains meet the sea. This is what paradise looks like to me. And guys, for sure. If you love this as well, Norway will absolutely blow your mind away. And, who knows, one day you will make it to Fiordland in New Zealand as well.
This episode brought tears to my eyes. It reminds me of a profound spiritual experience I had as a child in the mountains of New Zealand. That experience has been with me since then and I can still draw on its divine energy more than 40 years on. Its not as intense or direct as it was then but the experience has turned out, in hindsight, to be my spiritual compass. I sincerely hope this experience and the energy that goes with it will remain with you both in a similar way as long as you need it, may you be reminded of it whenever life gets in the way.
Maya ... just a spell-binding reflection of your visit to this exquisite secret natural inlet. Incredible execution of your time there. Through our screens we can feel the wonder of such a perfect landscape. I could go on however I was equally moved by the storytelling of one incredible woman - a mother of five, a widow, their dog all housed on a tiny sailing yacht - exceptional.
I will never forget the trip to Norway I made as a teenager. Even the biggest loud-mouth became small and in awe of nature. Now I have a new place I want to visit. Thanks for sharing your journey with us.
Perfect mixture of poetic words, magnificent vistas, and such entrancing music to accompany your exploration of a unique'ly beautiful example of Earth's magic. Thank you for bringing this to us
I am so happy to see you guys on the "road" again with the new boat. Thank you for sharing and taking us along to explore these beautiful places! Cheers from Puerto Rico!
Wow! The beautiful sail and as you said the background. We up here in the pacific northwest have some of the most beautiful untouched lands in the world. Maya your kicking butt with your cameras and Alidino you learned well in school and both boats you rebuilt are now treasures.
I have been to Princess Louisa Inlet and upon clearing the rapids we suddenly had thoughts of entering a cathedral. Awe inspiring as you found out. Later at the small dock near the waterfall, I spoke with a boater who did not have much experience who shot the rapids at totally the wrong time and came through backwards. His eyes were still huge and his wife was still crying. They avoided rocks by inches according to his telling. 😑
Incredible views - and hard to imagine that it is possible to get there by sailboat. That your own boat, that you put so much work and love into in the past years, gets you there must be the icing on an already impressing cake. Once again a wonderful editing-job by Maya!
I’ve had the good fortune of sailing the BC waters for many decades touring Desolation Sound, the Gulf Islands, the San Juan Islands, and while Princess Louisa Inlet has been on my list, I’ve never made it happen. Your sharing of your adventure has encouraged me to plan a trip there as I now have a sense of the challenges and rewards of that journey. Thank you for sharing such a spectacular experience with your poetic narration and sensitive choice of music. Your videos are on par with what we used to call National Geographic quality.
So many places like this fiord down here in the Patagonian channels and fiords. Same spectacular views for over 1,400 nautical miles all the way down to Cape Horn and also the same experiences with 9-knot currents, extreme depths and attaching lines to the trees. No bears though. Maya & Aladino, I really enjoyed this video!!
This is why I was never compelled to go anywhere else in the world as I live in this beautiful province and will end my days here as well. Thanks for sharing!😁👍
What a treat it was to have this video pop up in my UA-cam feed this morning. I know what kind of planning is required to make the trip by sailboat. My wife and I made this journey back in July 2002. We were heading for Malibu Rapids on the day of a large tide, with one slack for the day at 13:14. Back then, the tide was predicted using Point Atkinson from the tables. Tide prediction software on web sites, but no portable gadgets. We would be going in against the tail end of the ebb, which was predicted to have reached around 9 knots. With about a 3-4 meter drop, we could not see any of the power vessels leaving the inlet when they were going through the curve of the rapids. Listening on the radio for a gap in the traffic we headed in when we thought we were at slack. Nope. I’d have to check the log for the exact number, but it was still ebbing way beyond what our little diesel could handle. My wife was below calling me speed over the ground off the GPS as it kept dropping. When the GPS reported us making less than a knot over the ground, I spun around and we popped back out. After sitting outside for 10 minutes, we headed back in like we were motoring on a lake, not the slightest bit of current. With only one slack for the day, if we hadn’t have got in we would likely have headed all the way back to Egmont. The day we arrived there was some weather coming in that turned out to be only rain, but any of the anchorage options on the way up did not look like fun to me. Well done with your trip, and congratulations on all the work to keep a classic boat on the water. I look forward to watching more of your adventures.
I absolutely love how you have designed the entry into the galley. It's seperate but inclusive with the rest of the boat. How can you bring yourselves to leave the most beautifully constructed area that Mother Nature has created? I would want to build a small cabin with a dock just big enough for my boat and spend the rest of my life sailing back and forth when ever I wanted.
I am so glad that you bring us along on your adventure. I am glad to see that spending the extra time enhanced the journey. It is more about the journey than the destination, even with one as spectacular as this one.
In these times when there is a lot of focus on disagreement in the world, I often think that - I have a boat I can just sail away. The last 1/2 year is the prospect of sailing somewhere; has become difficult the way we have prepared our land. So it's great to see you, even though there is a difference of several months
Not long ago, there were many "Sailing" channels that managed to add entertainment value to our challenged pandemic lives. Today there are only a few left because their content is honest, interesting and meaningful. Beautiful. As much as I appreciate the talent and effort you put into trying to share the beauty, I was happy to hear you talk about putting down the camera and just soaking it in. If I ever get my boat there, my priority will be to just be in that landscape. See it, hear it, smell it, feel it. No cameras, probably. Besides, how could I compete with this? Way better, no crowds! Just boaters.
This was your best episode to date. Video, Sound, Music and Content.. Well Done
I can only agree
Thank you for taking us back to this amazing place! A true rite of passage on this coast. Indeed, forever changed following
… (not from the spanking)😆

Please make a limited number of prints of that little red sail boat surrounded by immense beauty.
It is just so iconic of the life you are living.
The feeling comes through in more ways than I’m able to adequately describe. Thank you, well done 👍.

Holy moly!!😮😮😮 I have never seen such a beautiful place in my life! Thank you for sharing this... Amazing❤❤❤❤
That's a beautiful film. Your storytelling is excellent. 😊 Keep the good work going and have a happy New Year.
The Cinematography puts Hollywood to shame! Outstanding. Glad that you two have found your way back to your happy place!!!!
I felt close to God when I visited PLI in my little 24’ Powerboat some years ago. One of BC’s many miracles! Thank you for the revisit!
Your videos just get better and better. Thank you for the energy and love you put into them. You really brought the majesty of Princess Louisa Inlet to life for your viewers.
A fairytale landscape. Almost Overwhelming. But so, so beatiful. Thank you for taking me with you!
Thanks for showing me Princess Louisa inlet !
Wow, thank you so much for the very kind contribution! We really, really appreciate it!
Watching you two sail into any landscape is always a pleasure, but watching you sail into home waters that I have sailed myself but have missed for too long brought tears rolling down my cheeks. I need to get back home soon!
Gives meaning to the saying , don’t give up before the miracle happens! Thinking back to the low times during the refit, and now paradise!
Thank you for taking us with you. That was beautiful. Thank you. ♥
Beautiful Terrain!

Such cinematic poetry! The music is perfect, so expressive of the grandeur of the mountains.
Of all the places that you've shown us over the years, this is the most beautiful by far. MC2 looks like she's performing well, especially in the hands of very competent crew. Well done.
This is an astonishingly beautiful episode. Thank you for bringing us along!
Awesome!!! Your story Sailing Magic Carpet 2 is off to a wonderful start. Wishing you all the best!
Thank you for taking me with you to Princess Louisa inlet, it has brought tears to my eyes.

Truly... "BEAUTIFUL BRITISH COLUMBIA" !!! 🇨🇦
Your channel is packed with beautiful videos, but this is my favorite one and IMO the most spectacular.
Magical. Thank you.
Maya, your videography has been extraordinary in the last two videos. Not only that, your composition and production has been very professional.
I wholeheartedly agree!
Can’t wait to see this for myself.
Your sail and motor through wild Outback BC reminds me of the CS Lewis book, "The voyage of the Dawn Treader". Thank you for such a beautiful episode.

That was incredible, thank you both! XXX
Thanks for taking us to a place of great memories. Such awesomeness in B. C.
The scenery in the inlet is monumental - Biblical!! Thank you for sharing it with us all.
WOW! The only reason I gave it a “Like”” is because there is no way to “Love” it. Thank you so much for sharing with us . . .
I will never forget the trip to Norway I made as a teenager. Even the biggest loud-mouth became small and in awe of nature. Now I have a new place I want to visit. Thanks for sharing your journey with us.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen anywhere so beautiful.
Maya, so glad to see and hear you relaxed and happy .
Leaves me speechless… 😍😍😍

simply spell binding! Thank you for this passage and making it available to ancients like me.
This is one of the most beautiful uploads I have seen. You can almost feel it. Greetings from the Netherlands

Thank You Both. This Is So Beautiful And Calming. ❤❤😊😊
Oh wow what a beautiful place. I'm glad that you kept pointing your camera and showing us this incredible place.
What to say other than WOW! This leg of of your journey is almost worth all the work you have put into your boat.
So wonderful to see you both realizing your dreams and enjoying your boat!!
At about 28:30 (on your video) I climbed one of those mtns (Frederick William); it was epic! ☺️🏔️

My gosh. That is beautiful. Thank you.
Oh, wow indeed. Words con not capture the beauty of this magical place. thank you for taking us along.
Few things are more beautiful than a sailboat with a fully ballooned spinnaker! Add in the landscape and it’s magical!
Nature’s beauty at its finest!

What a magical place..... You will never forget that journey. I'm happy for you, but at the same time envious. May God bless all your travels.
This is why I was never compelled to go anywhere else in the world as I live in this beautiful province and will end my days here as well. Thanks for sharing!😁👍
Beautiful Guys, thanks!
Incredible rewards for your many years of toil & anguish. Definitely living the dream now.
So beautiful!!! Really jealous right now, the boat and the view… wow.
Also your footage and editing is so good! Congrats guys, living the dream!

I can see why BC sailors feel like this is a Must Do. Killer place.
The coolest thing is you guys shared it 😊
Not long ago, there were many "Sailing" channels that managed to add entertainment value to our challenged pandemic lives. Today there are only a few left because their content is honest, interesting and meaningful. This channel is by far the best of the best because you have remained true to your love of sailing and do so well at taking us along. Thank you.
Beautiful. As much as I appreciate the talent and effort you put into trying to share the beauty, I was happy to hear you talk about putting down the camera and just soaking it in.

Awesome! Beautiful! Thank you!
Glad you made it up there, enjoy while we still can.
These past few weeks have been some of the best episodes since Sweden, and this episode tops the chart!!! Thank you!
I watched the refit. It was nice to watch. But it was only an object. NOW it is a boat - a living boat! Well done. The world is yours. Fair winds.
So glad you are finally able to enjoy the fruits of your labour
Thanks - great!
Thank you!
Truly your best video yet! Incredible job translating the sights, sounds and emotions of your journey onto the big screen. ❤⛵️
