I own the same guitar, only mine is the black finish. Mine is a 2003, 1st year they made the SZ. I've got Seymour Duncan Invaders in mine too. I absolutely fell in love with this guitar the moment I picked it up to play it for the 1st time. You will never come across another Ibanez that is below the Prestige line that is crafted this well and feels and sounds this great. The pickups needing to be upgraded is a no-brainer, and I knew when I bought my SZ used, that I'd be putting something else in both the bridge and neck positions. The Seymour Duncan SH-8's are AMAZING in this guitar, and when I installed them, I went ahead and replaced ALL the electronic components and wiring. Included in the overhaul was also a pair of push/pull pots, one for each volume control, and they are wired independently to each humbucker, so I can split either one on its own, or both of them together, depending on the sound/tone I'm going for. I was surprised at how truly great BOTH of these pickups sound when they are split, but I know some of it is also the guitar itself whether they are split or not. I love my SZ and I love the Invaders, and together, they have provided me with an extremely BADASS, versatile weapon in my arsenal.
Most of your tone is in your hands. And invaders suffer from group think. One person talked shit on them and it was a domino effect XD. They're really good pickups.
The compression on the master bus is set too high and it's pumping. Use a limiter like loudmax (free) or waves L series or fabfilter L (the best imo) to get loudness without pumping
Incredible playing dude... These Invaders rip, they suit your style perfectly

Well dude. Thanks for the comparison.
I’ve never gotten my invaders to sound that good. Awesome playing.
