I had a similar journey to Lauren. During high school I wrote letters to my grade 12 self every year, and one of those years I remember crying writing one about how frustrated I was at not having felt attraction towards anyone while my peers had partners and crushes.
The year after that, I wrote about thinking I was on the ace spectrum, and then it took until a couple months before I turned 19 for me to suddenly realised I liked a girl.
I do wonder what teenage life would've been like if I'd realised it sooner. But at the same time, my excitement at feeling and recognising attraction for the first time after so many years of dreaming about it was so exciting that I wasn't even worried about being gay. It was like the world took on a new colour, and I was just so happy and grateful 🥺
I didn’t get the time to write one, but I really liked watching this video. It was really heartwarming, and there was a lot of relatable letters.

(Soph, She/Her.) Yes I’m only 12 but I know I’m not straight. I was bi for a while before I realised what pan was. A lot of people have told me that I can’t be pan because I’m so young and I don’t know what it means yet. There are many sexualities/genders and yes, maybe I don’t understand all of them or what they mean, but I understand myself and my feelings so I’m happy! I think I’ve always known it’s not just boys I like, and that helped as I grew up and started to understand myself. One of my favourite UA-camrs/celebs (idk what they r classed as 😂) has just come out on the internet as Pan and non-binary, this made me so happy because I felt like not many people were pan!! I have always been quite open about myself, and my parents don’t mind, but I sometimes think they worry about me and then start to get angry. I personally relate to Darcy from heartstopper a lot! I’m always so energetic and I don’t care what people think about me, but sometimes have problems with family. 3 of my close friends are part of the LGBT community and I think that’s why we are so close. By best friend is transgender. (Fem to male) and is also gay. He knew this for a long time before changing anything, but he has helped me with so much! One of my other closest friends is questioning lesbian/Bi, but it’s so nice to have someone to talk to (about girls 😂) without being made fun of. We enjoy taking for hours a day about the pretty girls on our TikTok fyp, or this random girl we say out today 😂😂. One of my other closest best friend is gay. We have a group chat with just us 4 on it, and it has tbh changed us all a lot. If we have questions, or getting ops on people we like, we just go on the gc and everyone helps, this has been useful for all of us and is one of the main reasons we are confident about ourselves. I don’t even know why I have just written all of that, just got carried away with it ig. If ur seeing this, ily and ur amazing ❤❤
I think there should be a part 2 so we can hear these amazing storys of people who have got pasted so much stuff and now have somewhat of a better life/amazing life😢❤❤
