Edit- the reason I ask is because when I was 11 I was forced into choosing a sexuality and I randomly choose because I didn't know anything about it and my friend faked that he supposed me and now I can't tell who actually supports me (I'm 13 btw)

Currently in Amelia's shoes so tysm Amelia for your letter. You're right, religious trauma is the absolute worst and it hurts so much. although i don't want it to be real, it is real unfortunately. I literally can't even handle being alone or not distracted anymore because if I am it's all I thin about, and its so unhealthy that I'm scared to go out cuz i feel like I'll break down in the middle of a sidewalk or something haha. My feelings about being a lesbian literally fluctuates SO MUCH from day to day, even from hour to hour. So thank you amelia for your letter, it really resonates with me

I'm coming here tonight because I don't really have anywhere else to go and I don't really have anyone to talk to right now. I just really want to sit in a safe space for a moment and I know I can find it here. So I've only come out to my sister and mom and one of my good friends so far. And I'm perfectly happy with that. But it does after a while wear on me that I can't just be freely me and out around most people. And so my cousin came back home this week, and since he's a tattoo artist I decided to get my first one! It was great. I thought that he might be a safe person to be out to. But when me and my family were talking about our favorite TV shows and I mentioned my favorite (Heartstopper) and I picked up on his vibe that he was like " oh it's gay" and not in the most positive way it hurt. He's really a nice and quiet guy and he probably wouldn't be rude to me but in my head all I could think was that he might tell the rest of my family whom I haven't come out to. And my mom was looking at me like "do you want to say anything?" And I just felt uncomfortable and kind of sad. I thought he might have been cool with it. I thought I might be able to widen my support group a bit. But reading the room I just wanted to stay quiet. It really hurt because I don't have many friends and I don't know... I just thought that we could have gotten closer and that I could be myself around another person. But that didn't happen. And I thought that if the rest of the family would ever shun me one day when I hopefully enter a same sex relationship that hopefully my sister and cousin's would still have my back. And now I don't know. It's just one more thing I'm uncertain about. And this just really hurts 😢 thank you if you have read this whole long comment. It means a lot to be able to have somewhere to come and vent about the LGBTQIA+ experience ❤️

-wow I lately notice there are a lot like me who pan romantic and ace :0 like fr only 5 years ago I found out there is even that thing that I finally can use which is asexuality and also seeing that there is only like 2% of the world which are also but lately I see a lot more I'm not even sure 2% is right anymore mm... like and before 10 years I only knew a little about a boy loving boy did not even know about lgbtaqai+ and now there is so much I'm still learning about even tho I already 100% about my romantic feelings and being ace I should know more and keep learning
