At least it ensured he didn't made it to airfield in the end and crashed somewhere in the wild, where bears had eaten him.
The tip of that wing got hit 3 times. How many more damn hits for it to fall off? It's obvious, the Su-35 mod, much like the Su-57, doesn't have destructible parts and damage states implemented and the fact that it survived an AIM-9 to the face just goes to show the damage model has got even more problems. The pilot probably can't die either.

@@Ry_TSG Actually, the Su-35 mod's damage model has issues and there no part damage states implemented. Otherwise those 3 hits to the wing from the F-16's 20mil would've ripped it off.

Seen an SU27 up close parked next to a Eurofighter at RIAT 2019. These Sukhois are HUGE fighters. Even bigger than an F14.

Despite being hit in the wing tip the su35 managed to take down f16 in 2 rounds . Thats awesome.
I've said it before if the US does not get on to thrust vectoring. We are going to be on the losing end of alot of dog fights. I grew up adoring f16 and f15s but they are old talent. The 16 has lost its edge; and the 15 is nothing but a hypersonic missile carrier now. As I look down the pipe to whats coming next. Yeah it nice but still no vectoring. The f35 is crap and our best new hope is the f36 kings naked. Just imagine the performance we would have if that f36 kingsnake had an f119 engine in it. I for one believe dogfight are not over despite what military leadership and defense contractors want us to believe.

I've read an interview with Russian Su-27 and Su-35 pilot - Su-35 is WAY heavier than Soviet classic Su-27, it has about 19000km empty mass, it has better instantaneous turn due to thrust vector but worse sustained turn due to far greater wing loading.

Hey Growling what about the proximity fuse on the Aim 9s. I loaded lots of these for real 9L mainly and they should explode when close but miss a target. Im sure they should of got you on those close passes. I dont know tech specs for the range of the prox fuse. Secret. Just a thought :)

@@seancurran4350 flying in DCS is different than fly in real life, g’s weather, rules and language make everything more complex. There's a lot of facts that I didn't tell tho.
u also have to have a high test score on something. so not many ppl even qualify

No doubt....but you can certainly learn the basics in DCS about the principles of flights, the different platforms, weapon systems and their capabilities, etc...GS certainly demonstrates that he understands the basics and that is a platform which he could build on if he ever wanted to. @@galaxymyt4834 Well In close range with good pilot F 5 can beat F 35. It depends the tactics you use. Vietnamese fighter pilots shot down F4 phantom by using old MiG19 by switching off the radar and did low fly detecting the distance of F 4 phantom with the help of radio guide i mean radio from the ground Vietnamese were using ground based radars and telling where about US fighters by using radio and finally the Vietnamese pilots used their eyeside then came behind the unsuspected use fighter and shut them down. Before that time Vietnamese lost alot of MiG fighters but laters used this smart tactic to shut down US fighers.

Woah that close call miss is unbelievable. AA missiles does have proximity fuse to fully utilize the HE fragmentation warhead, it doesn't necessarily have to shoot right through the aircraft itself.

Not a surprise: Su-35 is a heavy multi-role fighter. Emphasis on "heavy". It's more similar by size to F-15, i guess...

This just shows that the F-16 is fully capable of going toe to toe with more advanced aircraft and the fight coming down to pilot skill
Nah realistically not at all, the Su 35 has a PESA radar with detectation range of 400km, with thrust vector vectoring which I'm not sure is it modeled in this game also a front painted stealth coating to the front of the plane, the F16CM uses a pulse doppler radar, if both has equally skilled pilots the F16 will stand no chance, you do have to keep in mind, the Su35 is currently perhaps the only 4th Gen fighter that can hypothetically take on an F22 if it's say 3/4v1. Albeit hypothetically but still

This was movie-like fight. We hear a lot about one/two circle fight concept, but almost nothing about speed management. GS sometimes says about preferred speeds in a rate fight for specific aircraft, f-16 for example, but i'd like to hear why these speed limits is chosen, not others? I understand that plane perform better in this speed range, shows the best turn rate, but then again, why?

I promise to shut up after this lol.... but MAN I actually appreciate seeing jets tank missiles...because few things in life are certain. Somedays you just get lucky, and sometimes you aren't. Any randomization in kill factors is appreciated because it adds realism to DCS.
