Trigun is fascinating: the product of a Japanese man taking his faith in Jesus Christ and combining it with a Mad Max style western badlands setting in a manga/anime to explore themes of being merciful in a cruel world.
sighhhh trigun is just so deep. Sometimes when i wanna get my brain active, I just think of the lore and deep themes behind it lol. It ends up making me cry in the end, but hey! At least thinking of deep stuff will make me better and smarter right? *continues to cry about a couch

I was actually passing through a very dificult time and was at a breaking point but one of my dear friends send me a link of the show and of the soundtrack and boy did it change my life for the better. Till today I'll always say and won't be embarrassed to say that I took a better road because of anime. Well TRIGUN to be exact. Love and Peace everyone.
Can imagine someone lost wandering in the desert to this song. Pissed off, half drunk and making a fool of themselves - but eventually catching a glimpse of that clear night sky full of stars and having a spiritual moment.
Watching Trigun during the peak of my depression back in 2010 permanently changed how I looked at pacifism. It's not about what others think about you, whether it is effective as a philosophy for stopping future harm or even about the people you let live. It's about the value in life and the potential you see in people. Something amazing about the original Trigun is how it so effectively communicates that Vash the Stampede can be both right and wrong at the same time. The world is full of love, peace and mercy, you just have to find it. Hell, sometimes you gotta pry it out of people.
I'm so glad these videos aren't copyrighted anymore. The Trigun Soundtrack is one of the best out there in Anime! I hope these stay up for years to come!
This song is what it was all about for me, it completely drove home the western feel, while at the same time reminding you that they are still on a different planet.
There is one thing that i noticed about Trigun and 90's anime adaptations in general: even tho they failed to be 100% faithfull to the manga (you can't be faithfull to something that still doesn't exist after all), they never failed to catch the atmosfere, the ost, the settings, the design... they never fail to immerge you in the world and you instantly get in the mood of the story.
This is why I hate Trigun Stampede. The original Trigun may have been half filler, but EVERY episode was absolutely drenched in the atmosphere and principles that Trigun was trying to convey. Frankly, I don't care about the manga either because if not for THIS SHOW hardly anyone would remember or care about Trigun. Sometimes the adaptation humbles the source material. Sure, Trigun could have been improved in some ways, but that complete inability to learn from what the adaptation did RIGHT is what made Stampede a hunk of sh-- with pretty visuals stapled on top.

This song always feels so... quintessentially _Vash._ It builds up energy, showing Vash's determination, with the bells giving it a bit of a whimsical feeling. It always hits hurdles, it seems to get more despairing each time, but the song always picks itself back up. Just like Vash himself - no matter how sad he is, he always manages to keep going.

You can go to some self development courses. Or you can watch Trigun attentively. Your choice. Just remember, it doesn’t matter how strong you are. How you can accept your weak and even evil points matters. Accept. Understand. Improve. Remember, learning life is painful. But if you don't learn from life, you get much more pain, so much, you either go insane in a way, or improve. Sometimes, you are not to have a choice. Sometimes your values, principles, and all your core are to be shattered, to be turned to dust. You are to live with that from that moment on. That’s the moment when you go insane or improve. Still, you can pick up the fragments of your former self. What survived? Why? Why did the totally broken parts didn’t survive? What I want and can believe now? Be honest with yourself. Be cruelly honest with yourself. And after that - make something new, using the old parts and the new understanding. Welcome to the new life. You became stronger. Same here! I think it was just sympathy for Vash and how he felt he had to protect everyone...as the manga worded it, he had a "ridiculously broad sense of family."
