- I bought the DVD back in 2018 and got the idea to edit some of the OST in the film a short Music Video.
Copied the file and edited it on my FREE Da Vinci Resolve 16 Editing Software.
I really don't fucking care if I got demonetized, really, I'm not even here to make money,
This is my second channel anyway so go ahead claim my fucking video,
Make money off of this or whatever the fuck you usually do to even ORIGINAL content creators,
Just don't fucking remove this video from your half-asses copyright detector bullshit.
Like it's a 1988 Film it's just ridiculous,
Even the Romeo and Juliet copycats play that was initially made in the 1500s could get their own copyright.

First watched Akira aged 18 when at art college - one of my classmates handed me a dvd one day and said "you need to watch this", I'm 47 now this track in particular still gives me goosebumps
Not to nitpick, I love the film too and will be 40 in a couple months, but didn't think the DVD release existed 'til 2001. I am assume a VHS to DVD burn?

I watched this shit off some shrooms one time after my dealer recommended the movie to me , not a big fan of anime but I didn’t turn it down . That shit was dope as hell , the visuals in the movie really did it for me 🔥

Ive never been so blown away by a video description. I just came here because i just bought the Kusanagi CT-3X bike in Cyberpunk 2077 (can’t help it. Buy it every playthrough) and I needed this song in the background as I drove around Night City and yet I find a fucking amazingly raw rant about corporate bullshit that I have read in a while. Made my day.
I feel that maybe Kaneda's spirit somewhow inhabits the uploader of the video, just guess based on his anti authoritarian rant in the description.

2024, still one of the best Anime’s ever.
I grew up in the 80s and consider myself one of the 1st ever western weebs.
In France, anime broke through WAAAY before it did in the rest of the world. 1986? I was a huge Dr Slump fan. 1987? I was already all over this Dragon Ball thing. 1988? Fist of the Northstar bitches! But the way Akira hit me when I was 13, in manga form, in 1990, changed my life. To this day, Cycle Wars and My Enemy are still engraved in brain, picture after picture, line after line. The movie that came out in 91 was the cherry on the cake. Being able to add an imaginary "soundscape" to what I was only "visualizing" was a big revelation. "Kaneda" IS Akira's sound and that means that to me, it is one of those proverbial 4-5 musics that shakes you deep at the heart of your soul whenever you listen to them again. Even after a full decade.

This theme will be always something to return to, and the soundtrack for Akira is so interesting and clever. The fact that most of the soundtrack is based on very traditional music and instruments. For a film that’s based far into the future, in its futuristic dystopian setting. I feel as if somehow this type of music surprisingly goes even more well with the film then just some electronic beats. Otomo has created a world that is very futuristic, but still holds some of the past. This theme can be seen to create this war-like feeling, and it truly goes perfectly for introducing this world. This theme aside isn’t just important, but it’s how it blends in so well to create this interesting and unique atmosphere for a dystopian society.
Oh yeah… the description is also something significant.
