Definitely. He is the unsung hero, as people really don't notice all that he does for them, hating him anyway. He has that foolish optimisticness about him that keeps his determination going. In my opinion, he's one of the most honorable heroes out there.
This reminds me a bit of the final episode, where Vash picks his brother up and returns to Meryl and Milly. It signifies that everything is really over and it's all gonna be OK.
i can’t help but feel emotional listening to this song, it’s so filled with hope and bliss and just makes you remember all of the ups and downs of their journey, it makes you feel determined like you can do anything no matter what happens and i truly respect the artist for that
it is true friend, I feel the same way..too bad my life sucks and everyone just pushes me down to the ground. but at least I can feel good while listening to this
I used to put this song when i ride my bicycle uphill in the highway, heading home. Making the effort to go up and the sight of the landscape made me feel with energy to endure and happy to do it. I listen this when i fell a little down.
This track to me defines Trigun and what its about. Love. Acceptance. Having the will to correct your mistakes. And of course. Peace. This series is so special to me and so many others. :')
I think I’d like to do something nice for somebody. I think it’s good if you smile at someone and they smile in return. Voluntary love encourages people to create a sense of friendliness. Love that is unconditional gives us respect as people. However, it’s wrong to force love, to try to keep it alive. If the strain goes on, eventually it’ll bloom into the flower called Lie, the deceptively thorny flower that hurts people. This is one of my favorite Trigun quotes.
That day, that time, 130 years ago we were born, weren't we? There was nothing but peaceful days, and Rem was always close behind us. But our disagreeing thoughts changed each of our ways of life, didn't they? I don't regret it. I will vow once again not to kill, not to betray, but to find happiness, to talk about my dreams, because the ticket to the future is always blank.
It's 6 years from now, cowboy... i'm crying while praying that i may keep: "I will vow once again not to kill, not to betray, but to find happiness, to talk about my dreams, because the ticket to the future is always blank. " as my final try. And for the future me (and you)... Love and peace.
Anime with the best OST ever, its so corelated with the anime. BTW, trigun is an anime that tell us a lot about our lifes, in so many ways. Every kid in this world should have the chance to see it, probably a lot of problems in the world would be solved. Trigun, best anime ever.
And truly, especially after reading the manga, I can say that Vash is in my opinion the best hero ever. He's not perfect, no, there's a lot I'd like to slap him about. But he's idealistic, beyond determined and yet more human than Superman.
He's what Superman could've been tbh. They were always leaning towards the idea of a supreme being like Superman risking his life for something that's "below him"
Does anyone else become overwhelmed with emotions when listening to this beauty? I could die right now and this would be the one song I would need to hear. I would die more than happy!!!!! 💞
Between Trigun and Cowboy Bebop your anime music needs are pretty well covered. I think what gives Trigun the tiniest edge is the inclusion of blues influences and just a little less J-Pop.
The middle part, I think music people would call it "discordance," grew on me. I didn't like it at first, but the more I listened to it, the more musical it sounded. Trigun has some of the best music of any anime. period.
That happy acoustic guitar then the beginning and the deep sad bass that follow then the saxophone and the new upbeat acoustics tell you how the fool who rejects the truth is enjoying life then after he realizes the truth realization follows resulting in chaos and after the chaos he returns to happiness. It truly is a paradise for Vash the fool
I always felt the guitar gave this song a slight Ty the Tasmanian Tiger sound to it, mainly because when I first saw this series when it premiered on [adult swim], I started playing the first Ty game around the same time. Good fuckin' memories.
I don't love the middle dissonant part, but it took me years to find the name of this song so Ill just be happy with what I got. Love the guitar parts of course especially the end where Vash has decided to survive !
i really liked this song, especially the bass line at the beginning, it sounds like a motorcycle engine, doing all the journey in our life. Really, i must watch again this anime
There's something that cannot be expressed in words, human emotion. Emotions of the heart can't just be tucked away in a closet. But there is a way to know the emotions. Look into the eyes. The girl lied to me, and I believed her. The gentleman lied to me, when I trusted him. But the moment I looked into his eyes, the angel of destiny began to unravel the truth. Just Look into their eyes. There is only one truth.
A choice between two things. The forked road, a crossroad are an end given life must take in order to stay alive. Whichever end they live on, they lose something. Whichever end they live on, they are unable to find happiness, but are there really only two paths to a forked road? No, there are infinite paths we must take. There is more than one path. There is more than one path to the future…
I had a fever dream once. Or a time slip. Whatever it was Trigun season 2 existed. It picked up sometime after the last episode. Knives had largely changed his ways and the two brothers were traveling together. That's about all I remember
Well, considering you've never seen Trigun you're dead on. This is the song that plays while Vash is making his speech right after the final confrontation with his brother, Knives. Vash chooses to spare his brother and bandages Knives' wounds. Vash vows to live by his own morals and still honor the girl who originally instilled those views in him, Rem. Haha...so I'm a bit long-winded, but this is the hero at the end of the anime making everything good again.
Oh yeah, the episode previews' song. This really makes the anime even more special, since you feel some relief after watching so many horrible things happening to Vash; he's my favourite hero and character btw
I've seen both. You never learn about Tesla in the anime. Her story actually almost put me on Knives' side. The manga also reveals Legato's past. Idk, I just think it's a lot better storywise when you know their reasons for hating humanity.
the song that made me look for the soundtrack. when first heard it i recognized nick johnson's remarkably human motif on it guess now i know where he took some of his inspiration
I've done some research, and it appears this soundtrack was made by the guitarist of The Seatbelts; so you were much more correct than me, but still not entirely right.. :)
@mithrandir1420 I always enjoyed the freeforming Jazz of CB, though. Both series had perfectly suited music. I LOVED NY rush. Really says something about the series that a song as happy-go-lucky as NY Rush is the closest the series has to a fight theme.
@poweredman While that may be true, differences seem minor at most. Likely it is that part but some sounds were just covered by their voices. Things lower in pitch are easiest to miss. Also think that's a sax not a trumpet.
@IAmZolo Well, there is like a couple seconds of the song where it really is (00:36-45), but that's it... The version they used for the preview of each episode is different cuz it only has that guitar sound and no trumpet... And that's the on I've been searching for FOREVER... I wanted it as my ringtone :p
This is the theme song of a guy who came into a town, ended all violence and discrimination, brought love and peace and found a cure for cancer and aids, but must now continue his journey forward to defeat the big evil aliens who intend to destroy our galaxy.
Aah, this song is so relaxing, yet so adventurous, I totally love i-- 1:51 Uhh... What did just... The music is starting to... Can someone tell me what's...? 2:37 Oh, never mind.
It's funny-sorta- to see the difference of what happens to Knives compared to the anime and the manga ^^ But I guess you can't shove 14 volumes into 26 episodes..
Vash: This cross is awfully heavy.
Wolfwood: That's because it's filled with mercy.
clearly not wolfwood's mercy
I've answered and liked your comment. Maybe you will hear this song again. And if you do, I hope you'll like it as the first time.

This show was straight up catharsis during hard times as a teenager...I will forever remember it...especially when hanging out in deserts 🤠🌵🦂
Trigun tackles some pretty heavy subjects but overall it is surprisingly a very wholesome anime.

Best song in the anime, by far. The lead guitar, especially in the first and last minute of the song, is beautiful.

the face of vash when he is looking at the sky after beating knives is just epic
*insert epic speech from any of the episode previews here*

ah, this makes me remember the Wolfwood episodes with the bus and the evil laser spiders. Good times...
