    I like the clean cutting, clean mitre cuts, the way how the parts were fitted to become a perfect piece.

    good looking barn/ shop, .good ideas , on picture frames, iv'e built an eight foot router table, ( 1 1/2 horse porter cable ), nice to see quality videos, to help people learn to do stuff !

    Great video! Very informative. But I'd use a pin nailer, not a brad nailer. Much smaller holes to fill, and the glue does the work anyway!

    Do you have to be careful to avoid glue squeeze-out on the front-facing molding seams? I ask because it seems like sanding the glue that is inside a tight area like that would be next to impossible. Also, do you hand-sand the routed surfaces on the molding? Thank you

      I try to clean up the glue squeeze out with a wet rag before it sets up… Always good to cut the sharp edges with a piece of sandpaper

    Wouldn't it be a lot easier to glue all of the long moldings together first and then cut the miters and make 8 cuts instead of 32 per frame? Looks great though!

      It would be a lot easier, but that's not Jon. To me he is Mr. miter, I could just watch Jon, making mouldings and miters, all day long :-D

      That's what I would do, otherwise I know making all those cuts, I'd fuck up somewhere and Id have a small gap or some bullshit

    i like to do black backgrounds when i spray graffiti. it makes loud colors pop really well. maybe try do do some black somewhere to bring out that POP!

      Claudio Di Gregorio that’s how frame shops do it. The finished moulding is made up in long lengths and cut to order

    Great video Jon. I enjoy your wood working videos the best. Any advice on what type of material to use if someone was planning to make mouldings for a house. Ex., window casings, base trim, chair rail and so on .... I guess the person's budget would play a major factory in what materials to use.... Hope all is well with you and family and God bless....

    John, do you ever build up all your molding first into 1 long 8' piece and then just make 4 miter cuts per frame?
