good looking barn/ shop, .good ideas , on picture frames, iv'e built an eight foot router table, ( 1 1/2 horse porter cable ), nice to see quality videos, to help people learn to do stuff !
Great video I am just starting to learn how to build picture frames and this is a great video for that 👍 ..will be following you on your channel keep up the great work
I love the blue! Even the green is great but I really like the blue. Very much appreciate the videos you do. This one expanded my ideas on making moldings as well as how to use them when assembling those moldings. Thanks so much!
Man you are Legend! Another amazing vid as always: straight, simple, precise, accurate and detailed stuff ending in great practical and achievable pieces of woodworking. All the meat and no bones*. Thank You! ps * nothing to do with sponsoring when there is some which for me is ok
Do you have to be careful to avoid glue squeeze-out on the front-facing molding seams? I ask because it seems like sanding the glue that is inside a tight area like that would be next to impossible. Also, do you hand-sand the routed surfaces on the molding? Thank you
TRABAJAS MUY BIEN, solo que me parece que el grueso del marco es demasiado para el tamaño final del cuadro, un tanto tosco, solo eso. muy bien por tu trabajo. gracias
Wouldn't it be a lot easier to glue all of the long moldings together first and then cut the miters and make 8 cuts instead of 32 per frame? Looks great though!
i like to do black backgrounds when i spray graffiti. it makes loud colors pop really well. maybe try do do some black somewhere to bring out that POP!
very good video, my congratulations. I would like you to help me with a question: I want to know if you make or can recommend who can manufacture custom router bits according to my product draws.
Great video Jon. I enjoy your wood working videos the best. Any advice on what type of material to use if someone was planning to make mouldings for a house. Ex., window casings, base trim, chair rail and so on .... I guess the person's budget would play a major factory in what materials to use.... Hope all is well with you and family and God bless....
Hello, great videos Jon it's always a pleasure yo watch! How did you assemble together the 3 or 4 pieces of molding, i guess you banned the nails as you're using the chop saw? Regards.
im an old timer and i still learn every time i watch a vid thank you for sharing this knowledge
He knows what he is doing. And he had all his fingers. Amen!
I like your work. As a photographer watching your videos on framing, pictures ., I am hooked making my own frames for the pictures I develop
Thank you! It’s always fun that moment of putting the picture in frame.
I like the clean cutting, clean mitre cuts, the way how the parts were fitted to become a perfect piece.
These are great frames. I really enjoyed watching this. I love how you can make amazing frames with different bits and build the frame up.
I always enjoy all of your videos so please teach us all about stencil painting as well as the framing process. Thanks for sharing!!
You are the Saint of picture frames.
Good one Jon! We often forget about using different router bits to make frames & other projects. Thanks for posting this.........
good looking barn/ shop, .good ideas , on picture frames, iv'e built an eight foot router table, ( 1 1/2 horse porter cable ), nice to see quality videos, to help people learn to do stuff !
There's something infinitely satisfying about the sound of a friction fit between the molding
It's late and was falling asleep until I saw the colors. Hello!
Such a precision... pleasure to watch!
Great work Jon!
Great video, thanks !!.
Greetings from México city.
What a colors my friends!
A video about how to create the stencils could be interesting. Certainly, I would appreciate it. Also great video on making the frame. Thanks Jon.
Just started wood working and your tutorial is really professional, simple yet concise and to the point! Thank you!
This work need alot of patient to learn. i'm a painter but beginner at woodworking. thank you sir for sharing.
Very great work. 👍🙂
Excellent video Jon. Thanks!
Beautiful frame and easy to follow instruction, Jon. I'd like to see that second video.
Great video I am just starting to learn how to build picture frames and this is a great video for that 👍 ..will be following you on your channel keep up the great work
I love your art videos Jon. Would love to see more.
I enjoyed watching this thank you for the video
Nice work as always.
First time i see moulding how realy made thank you so mutch
Really nice frames, I like the popping colors!
Great project Jon 👍!
Great video! Very informative. But I'd use a pin nailer, not a brad nailer. Much smaller holes to fill, and the glue does the work anyway!
Love a nice sharp ticonderoga
Yes the stenciling process would be interesting if you have the time. Thanks for sharing
It will be a pleasure to seeing how you make the stenselprint
wow- that's a hella fine frame fam
Gracias... Wonderful video thanks for sharing your great talents with others who want to learn, thanks so much...
So smart and well detailed project sir Jon, keep it up the good job am learning from u now the new skills
Thanks!
Is that kickback at around 2:40?
Love to see how you make the stencil painting. Thanks, Jon!
Another great video.
Very talented thank u very much
Great video Jon, I always learn something new watching you (how to mitre with changing the angle of the saw in this case!), thanks for sharing!
absolute art work!
Beautiful work, I love the style of the frames. I like the blue colour but not the green , great video .thanks
Great! Thanks
Love the design, Jon. I’m always learning something new on your channel.
Thanks for sharing this helpful video, great job on the frames.
Love the video. One small addition, the name of the Danish furniture designer is rightly ARNE Jacobsen.
Eres un inovador muy brillante saludos desde México
Wow, beautiful frame. I'm wondering if I could assemble all the pieces into long strips so as to reduce the number of cuts neccessary?
great use of tools and thanks for the tips, Jon absolutely would watch video on attaching art to frame...
Maybe you can show how to make 1:12 scale milling?
I love the blue! Even the green is great but I really like the blue.
Very much appreciate the videos you do. This one expanded my ideas on making moldings as well as how to use them when assembling those moldings.
Thanks so much!
Man you are Legend! Another amazing vid as always: straight, simple, precise, accurate and detailed stuff ending in great practical and achievable pieces of woodworking. All the meat and no bones*. Thank You! ps * nothing to do with sponsoring when there is some which for me is ok
Another great practical project. What lighting do you have in the workshop? It really works well to get diffuse light.
Thank you Jon , I learned some helpful tips
Awesome video John. I have some picture frame projects coming up. I’m going to try this.
Those frames look might fine and dandy!
Nice work Jon! 👍👊 Thanks for the info!
Are you using brad or pin nailer?
Do you have to be careful to avoid glue squeeze-out on the front-facing molding seams? I ask because it seems like sanding the glue that is inside a tight area like that would be next to impossible. Also, do you hand-sand the routed surfaces on the molding? Thank you
I try to clean up the glue squeeze out with a wet rag before it sets up… Always good to cut the sharp edges with a piece of sandpaper
Nice frames! Steve Ramsey wants his green paint back though... 😂😂😂
TRABAJAS MUY BIEN, solo que me parece que el grueso del marco es demasiado para el tamaño final del cuadro, un tanto tosco, solo eso. muy bien por tu trabajo. gracias
Quadros agradáveis! Ótimo trabalho.
Nice work
Super show!
Great work Jon! Thanks for sharing the video, i really like the lime green color and the blue.😎👍JP
Great job! Great skills! Great presentation, as always!
However, to me these frames are too thick for the tiny picture they are designed for.
Very nice
Wouldn't it be a lot easier to glue all of the long moldings together first and then cut the miters and make 8 cuts instead of 32 per frame? Looks great though!
Dan Letkeman Dan, totally agree.
It would be a lot easier, but that's not Jon. To me he is Mr. miter, I could just watch Jon, making mouldings and miters, all day long :-D
That's what I would do, otherwise I know making all those cuts, I'd fuck up somewhere and Id have a small gap or some bullshit
SayWhaat your mouth is full of filth ! Stay classy!!! Your suppose to reply a nasty comment now...full of hate and obscene language..
12M Views blue crappy Nova
Yes on the stencil video.
i like to do black backgrounds when i spray graffiti. it makes loud colors pop really well. maybe try do do some black somewhere to bring out that POP!
Parabéns Jon q Deus continue te abencoar
very good video, my congratulations.
I would like you to help me with a question:
I want to know if you make or can recommend who can manufacture custom router bits according to my product draws.
Sieht ja fantastisch aus 👍
nice
He makes using that router look easy
Yes, my vote is for the artwork/stencil video.
Do you still use your Table Saw molding head cutter or do you recommend the router table over that?
Yes, but mostly I use a router
Great video. Can you do a video on birdsmouth beading and how it's made?
Great job!!!!! A doubt: Isn't it easier to glue the whole frame profile in one long piece and then cut the 4 miters once?
Maybe
Claudio Di Gregorio that’s how frame shops do it. The finished moulding is made up in long lengths and cut to order
Nice one Jon, but you did right ask the wife, have a nice day !!!
Thanks
Outstanding skills!
Colors aside, great project. The stencils a really nice. Complimentary color for the green frame, like blue and orange are compliments?
would love to see the process for the painting!
Would love to see the stencil video!
Nice!💜
This is a magic! But magic is heresy!!! 😂
Hello Peter, I am your admirer here in Brazil, I would like to know what is the model of your bench saw
Please use a guard or a riving knife on the table saw, to prevent kickback!
Riving knife yes! But anyone who has even touched a table saw before should not and does not use a guard.
Great vid thanks for the tips👍
Hi John, what kind of tree did you use?
Simply Awesome
Hey Jon I am building a float frame now and would appreciate the best way to mount the paper art to the birch plywood I'm using. Thanks, Tony
Hi Tony .. check out this video ua-cam.com/video/3rr99JfTqnc/v-deo.html
Yes, please do a stencil video. Thanks
Hello, great videos Jon it's always a pleasure yo watch! How did you assemble together the 3 or 4 pieces of molding, i guess you banned the nails as you're using the chop saw? Regards.
subscribed you make it look so easy man lol
I think you need a riving knife or splitter to prevent kickback.
Is that your wood working shop it nice!!
John, do you ever build up all your molding first into 1 long 8' piece and then just make 4 miter cuts per frame?
