What a beautifully made piece of machinery that is very simple and easy to work on. You video was awesome, great to see every step of the process explained 👍
Thank you Syd. It is so fascinating for me to watch and listen to your videos. And the anticipation for what you are achieving. Thank you so much for sharing
Not sure what you need? The spline count on the Tesla motor output shaft. Don't know exactly but if you contact "Fellten.com" they can give you all the specs.
A mix of places really. You can get access to Tesla service manuals through service.tesla.com and a lot I just worked out myself. Fellten now have pdf instructions on their site - I might add that to the video description!
That took some serious work with that reduction gear. You make it look easy.
Yeh, well. I could have shown all the time I spent but it would have been very boring! Definitely a job for a 40 ton+ press!

Between your videos, and Ageing Wheels conversion project, my EV plans could change again lol
Yeh, well there's multiple ways to go about it really. Roberts (aging Wheels) latest EV project is bonkers (in a goood way)!
Wow
I went LDU but am considering going Model 3….
You would have mega power with the Large drive! I think the Model 3 Drive unit is a better design/evolution though. Love the patina on your 109!
@@sydneyg007 days away from a test drive to see if phase lead modifications allow the LDU to function properly with reversed rotation!
Well that was simple, could you come to Qld and convert my Brumby next week, cheers.
Can't make it next week, but when I have finished converting the landrover/ lawnmower/ Dozer and our Subaru Forester I might have some more time!
Please, how many teeth have a new gear on the electric motor and on the spline shaft?

Where did you get all the info about how to do this job?

Just a thought, get another Land Rover to build and leave old greenie alone.😊
If I got another one I would end up converting them both!😁
