This is a "test render reel" to demonstrate the functions of the 3D model (not all of the functions are showed in the video).

Lets forget about what Stan Lee proposed or though out. Lets forget that this is Iron Man.
Let us think what this exactly is. This is an artistic conception of a power armor or 'war frame'. It happened with knights and of course the tank. Anthropomorphic robotic power armor is not possible today at that level of detail due to the complexity of servo systems, energy required and torque needed for certain parts.
Today such idea is impractical but at a higher size it can 'probably' be viable for construction bots or power armor lifters for humans. I'm glad that this artist took all his time doing the hull, the movable pieces and the armor using rigid body physics. At least it's a fair attempt of giving a high level of realism to a fantasy.
I want to see more of these power armors in different shapes. The artistic work is elite. Only few artists can achieve this capacity.

I think hydraulic is more possible to use then servos but you are right. This kind of power armor is not possible until micro servos can lift 1000 kg
Trust me, once we figure out a practical concept for a real Arc Reactor all of this will be achievable.
Arc Reactor is the real Fantasy, not the armor.

Dude, this level of detail is probably the most accurate version of Iron Man we’ve seen outside of the movies! This could potentially be used in a fan game if done the right way!

Why this video is so underrated
this is a beautiful model. speaking as an engineer, all of the mechanics seem spot on. I found the site where it is for sale and am deeply considering buying it. however, I have been having some trouble dealing with .obj format files and was wondering if you could provide a small sample for me to ensure that i can use it before i buy it
He's got the raw models without the textures for cheaper. Although, you probably shouldn't be too hopeful for a free version.

@@maxim196 no I'm just saying all the effort they went through, I am a 3d modeler myself and even with the tools we have today I understand the pain, this video was back in 2013 blender was still pretty new.

@@maxim196 at least with a real one they wouldn't need the effort of everything they did, they'd have physical pieces of metal and wires to work with, for 3d modeling and rigging you have to build that from practically nothing.

this is cool, and i love iron man and all. but considering he's in a suit of armor why does he need the forearm shield to deploy under gun fire(00:27)???
In the movie (1st movie) his helmet was taken and crushed by obi. He used the internal mechanisms as shown there to shield his face from gun fire.

Pls make a reeged model of mark 80 and 85
I'm absolutely in love with this suit, but--i always felt that it needed an upgrade or refurbishment or something like that...i.e. it should've been brought back in endgame during the final battle, only it would be WAY stronger than the mark 85, and would be made of the nanotech that stark uses in both Mark 50 and 85, along with the crazy gadgets and stuff he can form, except it'll all look like the Mark 3! Who agrees?

There are a few tips for constructing an iron man suit
Download some detailed plans from the web
Use plastic instead of cardboard or metal - it's easier than metal and last longer than cardboard
Makesure you get the size right - an engineer spent a long time making one then found it was too small!

It 's only a model which looks cool..But the Engineering technology that allow suit to fly is not real. Impractical
