If Trotsky was anything then it wasn't soft hearted. He was unpopular for his outspoken radicalism within the party. As recent historians have noted much of his criticisms of Stalin boiled down to 'I would have done that, but better', the man also got his fair share of innocent blood on his hands during the civil war, he was only soft hearted by Beria's standards and only then because of their different private proclivities.

You should read up on the Kornilov Affair. It wasn't at all as straight forward as you make it sound. It more reassembles a sitcom, full of miscommunication, rather then a sinister plot. Kaissereich gives such an amazing opportunity for "glory history" that is actually a part of a well written and constructed alternate history, rather then a spirit that is a slight and vague mix of past propaganda, major sides' opinions on matters and the radical spirits of individuals which echoed through generations and elements of stories. Fancy talk La Fra- ...I mean French Syndicalist Union P.S. this is meant to be a cool comment that tells a short-(insert a fancy word for related to time here) analysis aka a random thought. This means the inclusion of elements necessary to give a good enough general understanding of the final conclusion & does not include La opinions on La elements being touched on. Take it in more of a literal way. A well constructed and written work rather then something, just means that thing instead of another thing, and is not indicative of the following random internet person's opinion, whose comment you're reading in the current moment, about the given objects and/or systems of conceptions. Apparently I still have enough analytical capacity for some fancy talk lol. Well, a way to give some value to the waste of a life I lived and will continue to live for a few more remaining weeks or months. By the way, why have you gone through so many comments?
6:57 IRL, at one point in 1917, Kerensky had most of the Bolsheviks in jail after a failed coup, and Lenin, revealed as a German-funded agent of chaos, had fled to Finland. But Kerensky thought the tzarists were the bigger threat, and what happened, happened.
I love this series and one of the best alternate history videos I seen. I hope people would see and realize how much work you put into these idiots because they feel so realistic
What’s the name of the song at 18:53 ? I’ve been trying to find it for years and all I get is modern Russian music, Rasputin and folk music. The name would be MUCH APPRECIATED! Thank you.
Oooo has the canon changed now? I though you started Kaiserreich as Russia with Kerensky still in power? And I swear the original attempted coup was by Kolchak who fled to form a state in Transamur?
Yep, canon has changed for Russia & Britain in particular. Savinkov will start in charge of Russia but can face rebellions in various regions. Britain starts a lot more centralized and militarized, in contrast with France which will be less-jingoistic and less militarized.
@@kaisercatcinema oooo funsies, always saw National Populists as the 'Canon' playthrough as Russia due to some of the Screen art. Would we possibly ever get a documentary of the Second Weltkrieg style of 'The World at War'? It would be almost like watching learning about ww2 all over again!
@@DanBray1991 The thing is that nothing is cannon after 1936 starts other than King George dies, League of Eight Provinces collapses, and Black Monday starts. (Before anybody mentions Afghan - DOI war; in the new lore DOI is actually in Southern India.)

I’m sorry, but am I the not the only one seeing the parallels between this Russia and the Weimar Republic? They even have a popular nationalist who goes by a title with leader.
Why does this differ so much from the official KR lore though? Afaik Kerensky still rules in Russia in 1936. Or is his just alternate history within alternate history?
My headcanon is that after Savinkov's takeover of Russia, Wrangel fless with his family to Ukraine, as Wrangel had been one of Savinkov's biggest critics this entire time, and he was friends with Ukraine's Hetman, Pavlo Skoropadsky. He settles at his old home in Yalta, Crimea, and lives there peacefully up until the 2nd World War. At that point, Russia invades the Oststaaten, and Wrangel joins the effort to defend against Savinkov's Russia. Skoropadsky is killed and Kiev falls, but Wrangel holds out with whatever forces he can scrounge up in Crimea, where they beat back attack after attack from the Russians, and by 1944-45, drive the Russians out of Ukraine entirely. After the war ends, Wrangel is elected by the Rada to succeed the late Skoropadsky as Hetman of Ukraine, and out of respect for his friend, Wrangel accepts. He would rule as Hetman until his death in 1958, being known by many a Ukrainian as the greatest Hetman in their modern history.
@@benjamintin136, not that I'm aware of. Actually, there's a path that if Russia loses Moscow during WW2, Savinkov is killed by a stray artillery shell, and Wrangel takes over long enough to surrender.

So is the First Episode of the Documentary going to be remade, and the old one unlisted? Because the timeline for that stays with the Old KR Lore prior to the other reworks. Like the 2nd Battle of Jutland (Which is brought up and then to-be-continued HL2-style) and the WeltKrieg ending in 1921, instead of 1919 like in the later episodes. Also is there a reason for Less Talking Heads? The Union of Britain ones were enjoyable, it feels nice to take a break and hear multiple perspectives from different characters every so often.
The real history part is rather inaccurate tbh. I mean, I know it's made that way to make it easier to understand the story for viewers, but still... Most importantly, Soviets made in the February of 1917 were not under bolsheviks control, quite the opposite, actually. Bolsheviks were always looking as a VERY small and extrimist party.
also, there is some missguides about Savinkov: he was, and it is very important, a leader of a Terrorist SR(Social-Revolutionery) cell, which was a part of SR party doing assasination stuff. All in all, this episode is still great and it's finally about Russia! man I love Kaiserreich
that part at 13:40 is especially cool , cos the desicion of Denikin (in charge after the death of Kornilov in 1918) to start pushing Moscow, NOT connecting with the Eastern Kolchak's Front, pretty much destroyed white army's chances of winning
The KR devs are a different group entirely. The skill sets to make documentaries don't overlap with the skill sets needed to make code changes in XML files.
The soul of a Russian, if not everyone, then almost everyone, is consumed by the bug of hatred and anxiety towards every free Pole and the idea of free Polish. - Marshal Józef Piłsudski

Fancy talk La Fra- ...I mean French Syndicalist Union
P.S. this is meant to be a cool comment that tells a short-(insert a fancy word for related to time here) analysis aka a random thought.
Really great work from the Kaiser Cat team
"All whith the State, nothing against the state" -António Oliveira Salazar
Great video, I will probably binge the series again. I am confused about the captions though. Why is Tzar spelled Czar?
Is there multiple ways to spell Tzar? I just want to know.
It's possible our captioner made a spelling error here, but Czar is a correct English spelling of the word
I hope you guys make a episode like this but about the second American civil war
So good, thank you.
What music did you use in 26:17
Hey any chance of a tracklist for these documentary videos?
Anyway awesome work KCC :)

Thank you.
I’m pretty sure it’s the Russian theme video that’s on this channel
@@sollertia497I looked it up. It’s not it.
Amazing
Incredible quality and creation!
That thumbnail is beautiful. Is there a link to the full image?
Oooo has the canon changed now? I though you started Kaiserreich as Russia with Kerensky still in power?
And I swear the original attempted coup was by Kolchak who fled to form a state in Transamur?
Yep, canon has changed for Russia & Britain in particular. Savinkov will start in charge of Russia but can face rebellions in various regions. Britain starts a lot more centralized and militarized, in contrast with France which will be less-jingoistic and less militarized.
Irish gets it right, this is the new post rework lore
@@jonnunn4196 but why? Isn't it more reasonable that the colonialists would preserve their last bastions in Delhi and Osman Ali Khan is from Hyderabad?
Will there be a documentary about Austria-Hungary and how blessed Karl is faring as an emperor?
I’m sorry, but am I the not the only one seeing the parallels between this Russia and the Weimar Republic? They even have a popular nationalist who goes by a title with leader.
Yeah it’s done on purpose
I've got all Bytro games on both mobile and PC (including Supremacy 1914). It's one of my favourite apps
Why does this differ so much from the official KR lore though? Afaik Kerensky still rules in Russia in 1936. Or is his just alternate history within alternate history?
Great video. In the mod can you still bring the Romanovs back?
Yes.
Yes, I’m not 100% with the future rework but at the moment it’s possible
Anyone back now that the russia release date announced aha
35:45 this sentence but instead of Chernov Navalny, is what was the situation in Russia a few years ago
I make me a bit sad that Pyotr Wrangel got written out
My headcanon is that after Savinkov's takeover of Russia, Wrangel fless with his family to Ukraine, as Wrangel had been one of Savinkov's biggest critics this entire time, and he was friends with Ukraine's Hetman, Pavlo Skoropadsky.
He got removed from the lore?
@@benjamintin136, not that I'm aware of. Actually, there's a path that if Russia loses Moscow during WW2, Savinkov is killed by a stray artillery shell, and Wrangel takes over long enough to surrender.
@@occam7382 But is there a path to play him before WW2? I've never played the mod, but I'm hoping that if I ever do, I get to do a playthrough with the black baron.
@@benjamintin136, oh yeah. Wrangel can take over Russia in 1936 and if you choose, restore the Tsardom, either putting a Romaov on the throne, or declaring himself Tsar.

Cant wait for Germany episode
It is both fascinating and unnerving to hear german view on russian history...for me as a Pole that is.

After new update this becomes more canon than before update

Huh, what? Isn’t Kerensky assassinated at the start of the mod????

So is the First Episode of the Documentary going to be remade, and the old one unlisted? Because the timeline for that stays with the Old KR Lore prior to the other reworks. Like the 2nd Battle of Jutland (Which is brought up and then to-be-continued HL2-style) and the WeltKrieg ending in 1921, instead of 1919 like in the later episodes.
Also is there a reason for Less Talking Heads? The Union of Britain ones were enjoyable, it feels nice to take a break and hear multiple perspectives from different characters every so often.
Would it be possible to make a video how the life in the „Reich“ would be today?
The real history part is rather inaccurate tbh. I mean, I know it's made that way to make it easier to understand the story for viewers, but still... Most importantly, Soviets made in the February of 1917 were not under bolsheviks control, quite the opposite, actually. Bolsheviks were always looking as a VERY small and extrimist party.
also, there is some missguides about Savinkov: he was, and it is very important, a leader of a Terrorist SR(Social-Revolutionery) cell, which was a part of SR party doing assasination stuff. All in all, this episode is still great and it's finally about Russia! man I love Kaiserreich
that part at 13:40 is especially cool , cos the desicion of Denikin (in charge after the death of Kornilov in 1918) to start pushing Moscow, NOT connecting with the Eastern Kolchak's Front, pretty much destroyed white army's chances of winning
just curious but how long will it take to update kaiserrieich to the new barbarossa update?
The KR devs are a different group entirely. The skill sets to make documentaries don't overlap with the skill sets needed to make code changes in XML files.
Then everything changed when the Japanese attacked 27:05
