- At the Florida WannaGoFast 1/2 mile event, this nasty turbo CTS-V (built by Hot Rod Dynamics) clicks off a 190mph run, making it the worlds fastest Cadillac CTS-V! What makes it even more impressive, is this is a manual transmission car. While dealing with some clutch engagement issues they still granny shifted it to a 190mph pass. This was the cars first outing since build completion. We hope to see some serious numbers once the car is 100% dialed in!
Fucking sick!...6-speed, best looking generation V and high power to back it all up..now that's a CTS I can drool over!

that wobble is from having full size wide radial tires upfront and a slick out back... it needs a skinny in order not to wobble like that,...
He actually did exactly what he was supposed to do. You probably have never driven a car with mickies that wide let alone 1500hp.
If you pay attention closely you see when the front end started to lift and it wanted to pull right he corrected and went back to center, over and over to keep her straight. Your corrections have to be exaggerated at 190mph because the front is light and you are moving fast as shit.
I'd look into pre loading the rear dampener a bit more so the front sits down. It will track better that way if his suspension isn't too hard.

My 65yr. old friend, retired Air Force Vet. Bought a used CTS-V with some Crazy big ass engine from a Corvette. It is also supercharged. It runs 10s in the 1/4 mile. The last owner said it had like 800hp at the rear wheels. I'm not lying. This car is and sounds like a monster. The car is now sitting at the front of my house. The trans is acting up, and he just bought the car today!!!!!! Such a bad ass car, and it breaks on the first day of ownership. He didn't even get to go fast. The trans reached 250+ degrees for no reason, and now he must give it gas so the trans will engage. He didn't even get to enjoy his freaking Super Bad Ass car. This car is super bad ass, but my friend does not deserve this. He worked hard for his money. Tomorrow he is going to have someone look at the car, someone who knows much, much more than us.
So basically it's got a Hennessy venom GT motor on steroids in it.

Monster of a Caddy, I have to say it needs a1500hp matching clutch asap. Seeing the rpm go from 7100rpm to 7600rpm back down to 7400rpm hurt my feelings. Definitely a 205mph car once the kinks are sorted.

No, actually. At 190 MPH, what seems to be the guy shaking the wheel is actually a series of very necessary adjustments. The rear was loose and he needed to control it. At those speeds, the slightest adjustment of your steering wheel does a lot.
haha @ shake the wheel.. this thing is trying to come out from under him when it finally hooks up under full power. He was coming out of the hole very slow with obvious issues but once it got halfway down the track it obviously launched like a damn rocket. To make 190mph starting that slow it had to be damn near tacking off into flight buy the time it hooked up and took off.
Because once he hit 5800 he was spinning till the end of the pass. Even when he was going 190 it was loose as a goose lol

It's a test to see what your top speed is in the 1/2 mile, not who wins the race. Each car and team has different methods of hitting their top speed
Dude I wasn't even in it for over half of his pulls. Yet he was still going as fast as all the other cars he raced, check the description. It was the first time that car was ever at the track...

That Racing Channel that explains a lot I was thinking even in my car which has a twin scroll turbo less than half the size if I don't shift fast enough I fall off the boost. Thanks for clarifying that
