    FYI, AceTek released a new version of this AIO specifically designed for this specific case, the 645LT, which has a 90 degree had fitting so that the water tubes sit right on top of the fan (with a grille) so that the PSU fits without difficulty.

    Great work, using I7-7820X overclocked a bit, using a 1080 reference. Now on my desk and even with the slim cable I had a hard time getting it closed, had to use zip ties to the top of the case to keep the fans clearance, it works but took forever to get a clean run of cables and tubing, closing the case had me thinking of grinding the inside, just kidding

  • @Aurummorituri

    You could try to 3M tape a slim 80mm fan to the side panel over the pump block for motherboard cooling if there is enough room. Maybe. Otherwise make sure to use a motherboard with high quality VRM components and heat sinks that can handle the higher temps.

    • @blueckaym
      @blueckaym 6 років тому

      Yeah, I was wondering the same (as I plan to put two Samsung 970Pro nvme) is it possible to mount 1 or even 2 tiny fans on the holes of the side panel. Around the liquid-cooler-block there seem to be some space. But I don't know about the back mounted m.2 SSDs? They would happen to be right between the Mobo & GPU backs ... seems like a very narrow space without much options to cool it?

    • @blueckaym

      With small cases like this I doubt everything is possible. And looks are not priority - space management & thermals are ... but thanks anyway ;)

    • @Aurummorituri
      @Aurummorituri 6 років тому +1

      If the motherboard standoffs are the same as most larger cases, there should be enough room for an EK NVMe heatsink to fit back there. I'm planning for an ITX build with dual 970s and need a way to cool the back one. I would think running RAID 0 with one drive throttling while the other doesn't could cause some issues. They less than $20 on Newegg.

    • @blueckaym
      @blueckaym 6 років тому +1

      dual nvme 970s is a must for me too. Not for raid-0 (as I understand large capacity SSDs don't benefit much from raid-0 since they already operate internally in similar mode) but because I often need to switch between OSes (Linux & Win) for work related projects.

    That Team Group Dark Pro RAM you've used it the past will also fit with this set up providing you remove the heatspreader tips. It's on the limit, but your RAM can be upto 37mm tall and still allow you to close the side panel.

    Why is the 545LC's radiator+fan mounted on the bottom of the case? Isn't that a design flaw?
    This way you either have to PUSH it downwards and compensate for the natural motion of hot air going UP,
    or you have to PULL hot air inside the case :/
    It seems more logical to have the 545LC radiator mounted on the top, so that the tubes take the heat there w/o warming anything else inside and then the fan (being under the radiator in this case) would PUSH-UP the hot air. (both the GPU & PSU are pushing their hot air to the sides of the case anyway)
    And another question is the space between the Noctua fan & PSU (give also the cables & tubes in the way) enough?
    Thanks for the great video, and (in advance) for the answers! :)

    Not only the CPU but the overall impact on the system, GPU and motherboard temps, limiting factors, caveats (and everything else I'd expect from an Optimum Tech video=)).

  • @paulm6198
    @paulm6198 4 роки тому

    Optimum Tech, have you tried to rotate radiator by 180, so that tubes start near the DDR and lay above the CPU socket?
    This way the tubes won't block an airflow from the fan, but you'll need to install it first, mobo second. Also it will be easier to install the PSU, because there will be no tubes beneath it.

  • @justins1917

    I just built this exact setup and let me first off recommend AGAINST building this for the reasons below.
    1.There is a lot of pressure to make the cables and pump align, enough to be very worrisome even if you do make it all fit.
    2. The psu cables literally sit right on the noctua fan. If you MUST build this, buy a fan grill!
    3. Trying to close the side panels on this is a joke.
    4. You can make it work, but it is a HUGE pain with lots of worrisome issues. Lots of pressure on the 24 pin as well as the motherboard itself. I would literally never recommend this build to anyone.
    In the end i disassembled mine and will be putting a different cooler on as I could not get the side panels to fit with the tubing protruding.
    You have been warned!

    I see Alot of ppl setting up their fan of the AIO 545 or 645 as Pull , and they claim that this is better because you said so.
    However now I see in your video you have a blower Style GPU , is that correct?
    I have 645LT But I got the fan as Exhaust because I got an 2080ti XC Gaming which exhausts the heat from its Heatsink in the top and bottom , so I got both my fans ( AIO and below Mobo as Exhaust )
    Any opinions ?
    I believe on non blower style we should have the AIO as exhaust because if you push air inside the case , it's getting trapped at its conflict with the Air of the GPU and then it just recirculates within...

    Can you fit any more case fans after installing the AIO?

    Hey, I watched multiple Dan A4 Videos from you now because I was thinking about buying one and I wondered what are the cables you used for the PSU, I want to use the Corsair SF600 and I now they have big sleeved cables, where can I find slim cables for Corsair SF PSUs?

    • @Fr3shrid3r
      @Fr3shrid3r 5 років тому

      @@bomas_ulz that actually makes sense, so far I had the SF 600 and SF 750, but both platinum, I should ask corsair if the gold versions have the small profile cables in the video. thanks

    [QUESTION!]: So, I've added the AIO to my system and I get awesome AWESOME CPU temps...but my GPU started overheating like a mofo. I have a rog strix 1070 in there and I can only assume because there is NO free space in the case the card just doesnt have enough breathing room. Did you have GPU temp problems?? What GPU did you use and what temps does it get while gaming?

    • @hal0mann
      @hal0mann 5 років тому

      Before the AIO GPU temps were roughly 70C now they are over 90!

    I am trying to use the 92mm AIO (645LT) with the i9 9900K, but am seeing temps in the 80s-100s (C) in the Dan Case v4. Is my pump defective or is the CPU not supported?

    The aerodynamics of these cases just don't seem ideal for thermals. It doesn't make sense to pull air past a hot surface into your case or push hot air from inside a tight compartment through the radiator.
