No way we’re acting like this show was mid….
It was good, not great.
@michaelsinger4638 wasn’t mid either
It's top 5 this year
@@yowiewowie8388noooo
War games without blood will always be mid
The rest of the show was really good. Acting like the show was bad or even mid before the end is just annoying. The Women’s War Games match was the best match of the night.
Before Punk even showed up I text my mate and said that awesome, it was a great PLE. Both War Games matches were brilliant.
They said it was good. Just not GREAT.
Yeah genuinely don't know why the consensus seems to be "filler" or mid, this show was excellent lmao there wasn't a bad match
Exactly. It was a short card with no match over staying its welcome. And both War Games matches were well produced. I much prefer this over a 11 match card where only 3 matches are memorable.
@@michaelsinger4638And I am saying I disagree with that. It was a great show. Also, they say it was good in a backhanded compliment kinda way.
Unironically, R-Truth showing up was my biggest pop of the night, as I had Punk’s return spoiled by Instagram (my fault of course). Loved the show imo, 4/5 show with two good War Games matches and a solid mid card
I was also super happy to see R-Truth, the national treasure thay he is
I want R-Truth to either beat Logan Paul for the US title, win tag-team gold with someone, or join Alpha Academy, A THANK YEW!
Man everyone is putting the show down a lot im noticing, the show was definitely a good show that was overshadowed by a certain Cult of Personality but i say great show, would watch again
Agreed
Honestly I’m more interested in if we can get an AJ Lee return/HOF induction out of this. We shall see if Punk can behave this time.
The Women’s WG Match was MOTN. So much fun. I get why Damage CTRL lost, but I wish they hadn’t lost their first big match as a group.
Gunther vs. Miz. Santos vs. Lee, and Rhea vs. Zoey were all solid. But there was no real tension in any of them.
The Men’s WG Match was just, fine aside from Randy’s big return.
I do not care what people say; as someone who doesn't watch AEW, this was Punk's homecoming to me.
I just realized, we now have 2 people who we all thought would never go/go back to WWE only for them to show-up at Survivor Series in Sting and CM Punk
Survivor series the place for industry changing debuts I guess
That Randy RKO was pretty sick
It was a very good ple, you guys are strange for calling this mid but salivating over Full Gear
The babyface women got cheered throughout women’s war games. All the women got chants. Just annoying how you are acting like the crowd only liked Damage Control. Becky, Shotzi, Charlotte and Bianca all were cheered throughout the match while only IYO was cheered from the heels.
The Randy pop was indicative of the three matches inbetween and fans getting up for Randy. The punk pop was just the icing on the cake and the right call. They didn’t over shadow each other and they didn’t hurt each other.
I really enjoyed Survivor Series even before Punk's return. 2 fun War Games matches(women's being MOTN), Santos getting good heat, Gunther and Miz putting on another good match, Rhea and Zoey really have good chemistry. As for Punk's return: in the moment it was awesome, I didn't see it coming at all. On the other hand, it really feels like "the tail between his legs". I hope he doesn't completely upend plans. The only matches I'm interested in are Punk vs Roman and Punk vs Seth. That's really it. Seth has more interesting options at Mania though, Gunther, Sami, Drew, all feel more interesting than Punk vs Seth at Mania. Maybe at the Rumble. The storylines coming out of Survivor Series were already having me excited, now I'm worrying about what plans will be changed.
Our brains are on the same wavel
Absolutely nothing is bigger than Seth vs Punk
The entire show was awesome I was there!!
I think the AEW cody got is not the AEW he wanted.😅
Cody’s segments were hit and miss but you can see he took his wrestling much more seriously than the rest of the show
Cody was trying to give us an improved JCP, while Tony n friends wanted a mainstream PWG...
@@Omni999like half of wwes top stars are from pwg
It probably is because Punk returned, but I thought this show was a 10/10. I loved both war games matches, the Gunther match was a bit surprising, and the rest of the card had nothing bad for it. I think it was a great show, brought up to perfect because of Punks return.
@@Kr4ShSkeL I mean I’m not the biggest fan of punk, actually I think he should have been fired after brawl out. I just really like the hype everyone had at the show and at home, and the confusion with Seth and Drew and Rhea at the time.
Hell has truly frozen over with Punk back in wwe. Be interesting to see how long he lasts given his potential for drama
I feel like triple h will keep him
In check, I love aew but yeah tony Kahn is so new to the wrestling business it’s hard to keep all the egos in check if you don’t have the experience with those egos
To be fair like Brian Zane said should we be surprised all the people who had problems with WWE way bigger than Punk eventually returned.Bret is the biggest example of this
Conspiracy theory: this was planned when CmPunk went to see HHH earlier this year
For those who think that Punk's WWE run will go the same way as his AEW run, think about this. Punk sees this as the wrestling business. Hunter sees this as a wrestling business. Tony Khan doesn't seem to have that mindset, along with his EVPs and Elite Circle. Hunter knows he can make a ton of money....Punk knows he can make a ton of money......but things will be run as a business, as it should have been with AEW. Hunter isn't a boss that's afraid to piss people off while TK is so concerned with being friends with everyone. Hunter said it last night.....he's changed, Punk has changed....WWE has changed.....and he's right on all counts. Punk tried to impart a business mindset in AEW and was met with skepticism and downright disdain from the likes of the Bucks and Hangman Page. And now to see that Tony Khan has given up Punk for Friggin' Jack Perry......just shows what little business sense as far as pro wrestling goes. He had THE BIGGEST STAR in the industry......and chose Jack Perry and the Elite. To quote CM Punk...."it's like stepping on your own dick."
As for calling Punk a hypocrite......who hasn't been a hypocrite at some point in their lives?
Cody vs Roman II is happening Mania main event night 2, I don’t get why wrestling UA-camrs always try and push a narrative with that. And yes Cody is winning.
Booker T wasn’t wrong about Ibushi either that shit was silly
That awkward moment when you use both Wrestletalk and Going in Raw to help relax and take naps after work 😂
Favourite set of duos
Really surprised by the apathy towards the rest of the show, I thought it was a great event and the men’s wargames match was one my favourite matches for a long time, especially with Orton’s return
It was mostly them rest said the show was pretty good and had 2 great war games
@@Kr4ShSkeL think that’s a slight overreaction pal 😂
I just realized while I was watching this, that WarGames cash-in attempt open a big can of worms for the rules after cashing in the MITB briefcase
I thought the show was great. It wasn't masterpiece/classic but it was really good. I thought that the Rhea match was really good, personally. They had a feel of realism and grit, especially the first half
Im getting bored of the over critical-ness on WWE shows, unless it is 100% perfect, you come across very hard on it. The greatness of Punk returning is that you never thought you would see it happen! Its easy to see you all prefer AEW. This show wasn't perfect but was a fun and enjoyable 4/5 IMO.. reading other comments on here, I see many others think the same!
Saying the show was mid is false. The women's wargame match was awesome
As fans we need to stop placing the Character or act of the Character over the general concensus of the business because the latter is always going to win. WWE is a business. Triple H said so himself, he brought CM Punk back because thats what the fans wanted. The character he portrayed this entire time (Voice of the Voiceless) means nothing. You should have realized this during CM Punk's first stint with WWE when he came back after his match vs Cena. Calling him a hypocrite doesn't matter, money talks and it always will lol.
I love how WT is low-key pissed about CM Punks return to WWE. Probably bc this means that the already OP WWE just got more OP.
Non compete clauses are one of the hardest things to uphold legally in most states here in the US. The Federal has even made moves to blanket that on the grounds that you are technically telling people they can not attain gainful employment in a field they specialize in for span of time. In most states they already don't bother enforcing those. I think as it is explained, or rather how it was explained in WWE's case that they have 30 and 90 day non compete clauses that they apparently get some form of compensation for by the company but it CAN BE waived, just to my knowledge no one ever has and probably to stay on good terms with the company.
These guys are trippin if they don’t think that return last night wasn’t on par with past returns. WWE did a great job faking us out making it seem like the show was over and when that static hit the mf roof blew off.
That makes it hype. It doesn't give it any meaning or emotion.
No one is going to go back and watch this to relive the moment. Not no one, but it doesn't have the weight that even Bray had.
@@AndrewLawton16 if you don’t think that people actually had emotions after last night idk what to tell you bro we’re gonna just have to agree to disagree. Hell you can even see all the streamer reactions but hey to each is own
Yeah I never expected this to happen, especially with HHH in charge. Got to protect AEW I guess 🙄
WWE pulled a genius move as they have ALL the leverage here. If Punk goes renegade again his legacy and career is tarnished FOREVER (it won’t because WWE doesn’t have a bunch of children running things) and if it goes right they have not only buried AEW but will make a lot of historic, moments, matches and money off the back if it. As a huge fan i can’t wait for Punk’s weekly return
Punk said “This is my TOWN!” not “time” lol
To be fair this was a total shock the anticipation was killed when Orton came out when the music hit they were stunned as I was and many online
There's literally nobody else but Iyo Sky to call miss War Games. She's been in EVERY women's War Games over the past 5 years. I hope she's in it every year because she always shows out.
I'm back to comment more as I'm watching & Oli so salty! Hahahahahaha 😅
Man this CM Punk debut is really gonna make the reveal that CM Punk is the Devil unbelievable!
CM Punk to everywhere all at once confirmed!
Lol
My favourite thing in wrestling is Randy Orton getting hyped after nailing his cool spots.
Incredible that he's back in WWE.... I enjoyed his first run in AEW before the drama kicked off and I will enjoy watching him in WWE now! Feels like it's very much a case of "enjoy it while it lasts" though.
Which is why the ratings changes for both companies will be affected dramatically. See him if you want while you can, but as a member of a household/marriage, you can't watch wrestling every night and as an individual might not even want to.
Can I just say tempest trying to get in cam shot lol 😜 then going crazy
I'm with Oli on this one. It was a great moment and I woke up early to watch the show only because Punk might return. But in the end, I was happier to see Randy than Punk. Punk's return had a great surprise element, but that's it.
After Brawl Out, Punk is like Vince's WWE. I'm just bracing myself for things to go wrong. But I'm interested to see where it goes and hope everything's fine in the end.
who cares if it "goes wrong". Obviously you dont want it to happen but who cares cos at least we'll have more great entertainment before it does. Doesn'y affect our lives
@@kamikoto1558 I didn't mean it would affect me personally. The storylines suffer. Like MJF returning at All Out and the Real World Championship. I wanted to see more of Punk-MJF but sadly it didn't happen.
What punk said in AEW was in character, what else was he gonna do? Talk glowingly of them? Lol he had said for YEARS he was open to going back to WWE. He said for the right storyline, and the right bag of money, he would go back. So this isn't just getting back at AEW, he has wanted to go back for a long time.
Forgetting everything that happened in AEW for a moment, I kinda do feel the same as Oli about Punk's return to WWE in a vacuum. *Especially* because this is the post-Vince McMahon era. And it's funny to me because...CM Punk was "the voice of the voiceless" in that big 2011 angle, he was the one that wanted "change", to bring about a revolution....but when you think about it there have been two revolutions of sort in the last 5 years in wrestling.
Number 1 was the birth of a big alternative to WWE, with lots of money to use to create a competitive product that as premises had the idea of listening to fans, being more focused on wrestling and leaving more creative freedom to the performers when it came to promos and characters, all thing very in line with Punk's mindeset....but Punk didn't start that. Sure he eventually got there but that was the brainchild of other people, such as Cody, such as Jericho, such as the Elite guys and of course Tony Khan himself.
Number 2 was the birth of post-Vince McMahon WWE, first last year when Vince "retired" and now today as Vince is pushed out of creative after the UFC merger. The product is significantly better than before, the creative actually makes sense, new stars are being pushed left and right, long term storytelling is back and stronger than ever, once again...all things in line with 2011 Punk's mindset but....Punk wasn't a part of it. Even "worse" in this sense...it's actually Triple H, the guy that hated Punk that brought about THIS revolution.
Ultimately, Punk is pretty much always jumping on the bandwagon of someone else that was doing everything Punk preached about but never really had a significant role in himself. And also, well...he almost crashed the last one he jumped on....
@@KateJones77342 that's what he *said* but it's not what he did. They pushed Vince out of creative, that happened, it's not just reported, it's also very clear in the tv shows. You could feel the "Vince-isms" when he return at the start of the year, becoming more and more frequent and then suddenly disappear again around September, right when it was reported that Ari Emanuel put Triple H in charge and that the folks at TKO felt like Vince was a liability. And now Vince is selling his stocks. Not a coicidence. Vince is there, but for the first time he doesn't have direct autority, he has been overruled. And don't be too shocked if he leaves entirely by the end of next year.
@@CulEdz "the error of his ways". Dude...he was in AEW 3 months ago and was fired for assaulting a colleague and probably the owner himself. Punk is back for the same reason he went to AEW....money and big promises I'd guess. The only difference is he's in a place where he'll have no authority, so if he was to last longer than the last place he was in he'll have to play it smart. And if he does, if this is more of a subdued CM Punk, that makes Oli's point even stronger. It's easy to play tough guy in a compamy where you feel untouchable because the owner is your biggest fan until he isn't anymore. A little bit tougher in a company where you know the people in charge fired you once already, on your wedding day and probably won't have a problem doing it again.
I don't know how their relationship is today, but BTS Paul Heyman is the Key to keeping Punk sane.
Tempest’s reaction has me dead 😂😂😂😂😂😂 “OH MY FUCKING GOD!”
The shock was real. I had the remote in my hand and almost clicked off Peacock.
Papa H said it best, this is a different company now
Lmao Khancels seething in the comments. "He's a hypocrite" he was a hypocrite in 2021 too, then, because he said he was done with WRESTLING after WWE. Almost like people can change😱
They're just mad because they were hoping Punk would show up in AEW again. They never imagined a WWE return would actually happen
@freddied8479 facts. Same goes for wrestle talk period. Their whole take was salty af.
hhh is dealing with someone who he hasn’t known for 10 years he has nothing to do with aew or what happened in aew that’s why hhh said it’s been 10 years I’ve changed he should of changed, I disagree with oli I’m happy with punk back in wwe if he can just do the work with the right people just give us good storylines
i am happy punk returned to wwe and i really hope everything goes smoothly because the drama was so frustrating to see and follow. Seth's reaction to punk was pure anger but hopefully they can coexist somehow.
Things should be better because both Punk and Hunter knows this is a business and should be run as such. That wasn't happening in AEW, and I think it frustrated Punk. TK wants to be everyone's friend as opposed to being a boss. The whole handling of the Punk situation leading up to Brawl Out. He (and his EVPs) had every opportunity to address the Colt Cabana situation, but no one did anything. I think this will be Punk's last run as far as pro wrestling goes, but I'm confident things will end on his terms. He wanted that in AEW, but the atmosphere wasn't going to allow that.
CM Punk's facial expression looks like Christian Cage's current smug look as TNT champ...
I’ve only really watched wrestling since last year’s rumble (with the exception of a little attitude era with one friend back in the late 90s). So, just over 7 months. Since then, I am sure to watch the PLEs in their entirety (with a random show and highlights here and there) and keep up with WWE by listening to the weekly wrestletalk podcasts. I’d never seen a war games on Survivor series. This was probably my favorite PLE of all.
The only Punk I’ve ever seen was his pipe bomb promo and it was hype when he arrived, though I’m aware that I’m missing out on a lot of the enthusiasm due to a lack of familiarity.
For whatever it’s worth, Punk didn’t make the show for me but he added to it. Iyo’s trashcan dive made the show for me. That was wild.
I agree with Oli, this feels very mixed. As a Punk fan I'm happy he's still wrestling and not gone. But also so much of him was this idea of punk rock. Being anti establishment doing your own thing. And him in AEW felt that. Little things like him finally getting the fighter shorts he wanted to wear in wwe showed that, him getting to be and do what he wanted his ideas gratified. It's so weird to see that rebel Punk back in the place he was rebelling against. I'll say not the same wwe but wwe none the less.
It’s not the same wwe, it’s an even more corporatized version of the company. He joined an even bigger wwe that is actively trying to finish the one rival the company has. What exactly can he say in promos? His whole gimmick is being the voice of the voiceless. Wwe works with a country that murders the voiceless.
Marks...
...I hear none of this "I can't believe he'd g9 back on what he stands for..." talk for people like Cena. John Cena made his whole career on WWE being his number one, and nothing would change that, until he left for Hollywood. That was Cena's whole thing with The Rock, in their first "once in a lifetime" fued. And look where Cena is now. Clearly stating that when Hollywood comes back from its strike, he's leaving WWE.
I hear no criticism for him, like I hear about Punk. And to be clear, I never criticized Cena, because I know this is a TV show, and there are real human beings behind these characters. These guys know it too, but still can't help but have these kayfabe arcs influence their real life feelings.
The best wrestler personal, are shades of the real person, dialed up to 11, right? It's an exaggerated version of the real person. Maybe some of Punk's anti-establishment persona is indeed real, but he still operates within, and makes his living off of the establishment. This doesn't make him a hypocrit, it makes him human...
...you know...
...just like the rest of us.
Further, why does everyone seem to care why Punk is back at WWE? What does it matter? You ask no questions about why any other wrestler jumps to other companies, but overly scrutinize Punk. I get that situations surrounding him have been public, but that's not uncommon either.
Like it or not, you are the reason Punk is still sought after. Listen to his theme song...the lyrics literally explain his relationship with you. Set yourself free, and stop being such marks over this man.
Once you do that, you can get back to enjoying wrestling again.
Well said, this is the worst WrestleTalk has been from a takes perspective
Ollie is forgetting the fact that they all hated being in wwe when Vince was in charge. Now that HHH is in charge, lots of people might be wanting to come back, maybe even Jericho is pondering a return. Ironically guys like AJ Styles, Drew should think of making the switch other way.
Jericho seems odd. I thought he was planning on retiring soon. What would he or WWE really get out of a return at this point?
KO v Punk will be the WWE version of Eddie Kingston v Punk. Seth v Punk will be the WWE version of Hangman v Punk. Roman v Punk will be the WWE version of what Kenny v Punk could have been.
Edit:
I’m not saying KO and Eddie is equals, or Seth and Hangman are equals, or Roman and Kenny, I’m just saying the story they can tell with those AEW talents are similar or parallel to what they can tell with the WWE talents
• Punk hated KO the same way Punk hated Eddie
• Seth can say he’s defending WWE from CM Punk, same thing Hangman said to Punk, but only this time it’s all a work and the finish to the match, and pay-off is done right
• Kenny and Roman, both THE TOP STAR of the company he was/is employed to going up against this anti-establishment guy, but Roman’s story has more weight than Kenny’s
Never compare Seth with Hangman 😭. No hate for hangman, he's decent given the right material but seth is above him in every department.
@@vinaysharma5197 sorry if my comment got or may get people confused. I’ll edit it and add some more context but I agree with you, as much as I like both Hangman and Seth, he still has a lot more things to improve before he reach Rollin’s level
Punk should not be the topic of discussion here. He did nothing but show up and the show was absolutely incredible without him. The Miz better get all of his respect now because he really should have walked out with that title.
reality check pal. CM Punk is mostly everyone is going to talk about. he gotcha again.
@@tigersinyourlungs Got who ? He won’t be around long I’m not thinking about him.
@@_Tahmar CM punk living rent free in your head
Which bloody bar shows these WWE live events, anyone know of any up here in the Northeast UK?
In 2yrs this guy has had 3 of the biggest returns in history, AND in 86 days has managed to wrestle Samoa Joe in front of 80k people in London and made an appearance on WWE ppv.
The second his music hit.
I tuned into your page to see y'all react.
You guys are the absolute BEST at this and I litterally couldn't wait to hear and see your reactions.
obviously everyone has there own opinions and everything but here’s what i will say: with cody, he has grown. he said it himself, it was a learning experience being gone. now, he is much older and much mature and you can see it every week he’s there. so ppl can change. BUT i am not for sure about punk. he can most definitely be more mature and thought about what happened but he can also still be the same as last year. only time will tell honestly
Can we just get CM Punk to do returns everywhere for that pop ? Hard justice the return of TNA and then cult of personality hits, be the two greatest returns in wrestling history
I turned the TV off the exact second before Punk’s music hit. Then I saw a Denise Salcedo tweet and at first I thought it was a joke.
Wwe got you with the "All Rights Reserved" in the bottom right of the screen 😂. You know you can't trust a HHH PLE "ARR".
That clip never gets old! Wish Ollie was there...
Gunther vs decent was alright, wargames matches dont hit the same as NXT but Orton and Punk returning are the big moments.
Triple H must be pleased that he was right about Punk all along.
He really is a massive hypocrite.
Gonna cry?
Not really. I just don’t really care anymore.
By this logic he was a hypocrite for coming to AEW too. In 2014 Punk said he was done with pro wrestling, like, the whole thing. And then he came back to it, people can change lmao
I hope this means we could get AJ Lee back
I will just say, even though people will mostly remember Punks return, there was some great fucking wrasslin on the card. That womens war game match was awesome and Gunther pulled a fantastic match out of Miz. I had a great time and forgot all about Punk until the music hit
Triple H has the opportunity to do the funniest thing, build to a Miz mania main event over Phil
Luke you dont have to support AEW so blatantly
. Both war games matches were very good OBJECTIVELY.
But alas, it at that point where the same show happens in AEW it is "" SHOW OF THE YEAR""
"This is my time" Punk vs Cena at Mania Confirmed xD
If there's one thing I'm looking forward to for Punk's return, the eventual promo battle between him and Triple H, that will be amazing.
I really didn't believe that punk was going to turn up, but deep inside of me i always hoped, and when that sound hit and then his music hit the child in me took over and i jumped in the air and screamed yes!!!!! i actually filled up and held a tear in my eye. If WWE play this right then this can break AEW in a new Attitude Era War. i Love punk and i tuned in to AEW just to see punk again and they fucked it up as Tony Khan has two many ego's in the locker room, who may be amazing wrestlers, but none are real superstars , apart from MJF. Punk puts bums on seats and WWE is an entertainment business and any publicity is good publicity.
I wonder if Paul Hayman, will be a part of the Punk Story or in fact a part of of his return, whatever im looking forward to watching WWE agin to see what unfolds. CM Punk Return Confirmed!!!!!.
What do you think about the bucks Coming over at The Royal Rumble?? not that i want to see them there, but Kenny i would i dont think AEW have used his to his full superstar that he deserves to be. Possibly Chis Jericho, would be the instigator and more over as well??
This honestly doesn't feel real. Like it seems the stars aligned and we're in one specific timeline. Because I honestly thought I'd never see the day. I thought he'd be punk rock, middle finger strongly in the air till the end. I'm so wondering what it was that convinced him. A shorter schedule? A wrestlemania main event finally? An insane amount of 0s at the end of his paychecks?
Drew stormed off before Punk Music even hit. Camera guy waved Drew to walk off
And no one has talked about Full Gear except for the blood drinking spot and Jay White being made to look weak. Your point?
So I paid $5 for a ultrachat for it not to be read out……..
Punk didn't say "this is my time!" He said "this is my town!"
Does Luke actually believe it's a wrestling war 🤣🤣🤣
Aew are a mess. WWE has its spiritual founder and its biggest ever star. AEW has Danhausen.
if only he returned to indie circus oli would be simping for it ....what a mark
Damn R-truth returned too
What's next is Wrestletalk making their WWE Raw debut 😮
Truer words have never been spoken: "Everyone is a hypocrite." People will always go back on or change their minds on something important in their life.
As LA Knight would say:
"THAT, is just a fact of life...YEAH!"
the factthat everybody is going to saudi now, even threatened sami, kills that narrative for me
Guys, I think you don't understand that all the things he said against WWE is what actually makes this return feel special.
Comparing this return with the Collision one is just unfair based on what has happened in the past 9 years.
Also, like most of us wrestling fans, Punk is a hypocrite. A flaud character. And that's what makes him relatable. 😛
If you cash in the briefcase during the Royal Rumble match would eliminating the champion mean you also win the title? 🤔
Nah, look at Brock in 2020
Although Drew did eventually win the belt lol
I’m going to let this play out, but I’m genuinely concerned that punk’s return is going to make plans go way out of whack, and possibly screw some people over. Namely, Damian Priest. Now that Punk’s back, I’m really not sure where Priest slots in as a world champion
Most contracts have no non compete when fired with cause. Judges do not uphold the ones that
Do. Can’t stop someone from
Making a living- at least in the states. Rarely do they get confirmed on court, unless actively using previous company information.
2 great matches 3 mid matches and an unbelievable ending 4/5 for me
Okay I will say this….CM Punk in my opinion is one of my favorite Superstars of all time and is in my top3 🎉
Is it tony is a punk mark for not firing him after brawl out or is it he couldn’t fire him for cause in that case? Tony knows how contracts work, he’s involved in premier league and the nfl. I always assumed Tony was never paying out punks contract if he didn’t have to. Brawl In have Tony the cause for no payment.
Bro idk what all these people here are talking about this was a great show with a great ending gtfo of here.
Its good to be weary about Punk but to say this wont impact viewership much especially tonight is stupid.
Already over 3 million on the video Raw will be on fire tonight and this run will prove one of two things: AEW is a madhouse and basically has the 90's klique running it or Punk has lost his mind and was wrong the whole time.
Ive been on his side the whole time but hopefully im justified
I get what oli is saying partially but this is different, like edge and jade who already had a destination set in mind and rejected offers from their companies
Both cody and punk contracts were either let go and didn't want to renew or completely terminated in the case of punk I don't think they ever thought they would be back in wwe and you can't really blame them there was a certain amount they were making in aew and they both have families I thought it was a good thing when wrestlers made more money? But if punk goes to saudi that's a different case but let's not forget kevin owens and Daniel bryan didn't want to go to saudi either and that didn't ruin their position in the company
The "war" ended the moment Cult of Personality played
Oli seems extra sour that the show is getting high praise especially for the Women’s WarGames and Gunther/Miz was very good, but because he has agendas against wrestlers (Miz and Charlotte) he feels the need to tank the show because Alv and Meltz (Two Credible Voices 🙄🙄🙄🙄) say something was weak. Once an AEW Stooges always an AEW Stooge, it’s really gotten pathetic. As well to all of the sudden being conflicted by Punk, because it’s obvious he really thinks Khan is smarter than he is and hoping his firing was a work the whole time and Punk would return as “The Devil”🙄. I’m really at the point where I’m done with Wrestletalk.
Also downplaying the CM Punk return feels very weird. People have been waiting for this for years. (Not everyone watches AEW, so I'm not counting that)
@@freddied8479 It’s because they’re mad Trips absolutely went for the kill shot. It can all backfire, however I just don’t see him pulling his AEW stuff because Triple H won’t put up with it, and Seth, Roman, Cody, Randy and Owens are the locker room leaders that AEW don’t have. Plus, this is his absolute last chance.
@@tomdyer2461 Yeah I hope it works out. Agreed, it's game over. Funny how they completely stopped talking about the ratings once AEW started hitting record lows...
@@freddied8479 Maybe they can do another deep dive on ratings again that we’ve already known and read about for weeks. Also, constantly saying WWE is the hot product which is true, but they’re trying and failing right now to make it a dog whistle.
What’s next is a whole load of new and retro merch hitting the euro shop 😂
You can really tell how butthurt they both are that Punk went over to WWE again when they act like the rest of the show wasn’t also amazing.
The crazy thing is he's barely been back for 2 minutes and everyone is already putting him in title matches, Punk vs Roman... Punk vs Seth... what has he done to earn those matches? He's been away from the WWE for almost 10 years, is 45 years old, we dont know the terms of his contract and are already jumping to conclusions. The last thing we want is to go from a part time champion in Roman Reigns to another potentially part time one in Punk, especially when there's so much talent on the roster already more deserving of title reigns, people like Cody Rhodes and LA Knight, Gunther etc should get 1st before Punk, he needs to 1st prove that he can stay fit and injury free for a few months, and that he can keep himself out of trouble, then perhaps he can earn a title shot, he doesn't need a title anyway!
Punk said this is my town
I wonder how colison doing Tony’s turned his insta comments off
Punk and Rollins face off, beat each other down because they hate each other. Leads to Priest cashing in to take title off Rollins. Then we have a Rollins Punk feud, damian can work the title. Rollins can return for the title once he’s done with punk
Nah! Punk vs Rollins is a main event Mania worthy match
