I feel like everyone missed the reference of seth coming out. He was coming to hit the Rock from the back with a chair but Roman expected that because he is traumatised by Seth hitting him in the back with a chair to break the Shield and is not letting it happen again.

About Seth’s entrance. I feel two things. The first, as a native Philadelphian I loved seeing the Mummers strut out and play Seth’s song. It reminded me of all the Mummers parades I saw on New Year’s day. But also I think it’s very in line with the story and character of Seth. Seth never took Drew seriously. This is a guy he’s beaten before and thought he was gonna beat again despite pulling overtime trying to help Cody beat Roman. It would have been more out of character imo for Seth to come out completely serious to the match he seemingly cared less about against he shrugged off and wasn’t really paying attention to. All the pomps and circumstance makes sense when you remember Drew and Seth’s story is that Drew cares so much and it frustrates him to no end that Seth always seems distracted with Roman and isn’t taking Drew seriously.

Bro, Pete, your thoughts on romans entrance and your reaction just being crying, i feel that on a spiritual level I was watching with a friend yesterday and i had the same reaction. I told him “bro this is the last time we’re seeing this. It’s been three and a half years and this is the finale.” And i just started bawling next to him. As much as i loved Cody’s entrance with the skull crown and codyvator and everything, Roman’s entrance last night was the best entrance I’ve ever witnessed both in presence and in energy.

I was there for every Rock and Cena mania storyline. 27- the set up for 28, 28 - the first match, 29 - the second match, 32 cena coming down with the rock during wyatt fanily segment, night 2 40- the rock comes down when cena interfered with the stare down and rock bottom. Crazy how that worked out.

I think it’s just casual fans that don’t really understand wrestling. I really like Reigns, I thought for the most part he had a great run as champion but did feel he needed to lose the title about a year ago. True fans understand the dynamics of wrestling. I have my favourites but know when it’s time for them to lose or when it’s time for a character change.

They have done the big live music/band entrances for awhile, but Seth's at the start and Roman's at the end, was something else. Seeing Brandy out there, I like her, not really a Cody fan, though was cool and again it set up the ending. Undertaker/Cena was dumb it did make sense but it also drew me in to the finish. Cena and Undertaker both have history with both Rock and Roman and they are above Rock's power. The rest of the roster might of been afraid to help, storyline wise. The build in that match got me hooked and I did get teary eyed when Samantha's voice cracked when she announced Cody as new champion. Then the family in the ring and the presenting his mom with the belt. It was a very touching moment. Drew losing the title because he taunted Punk was funny. Bayley winning was great. Missed the Knight/Styles match, whatever.

I’m very happy for Oli’s enthusiasm in the review and wish that sentiment actually rang true but the heaps of praise over this ‘new era’ because ‘the bad man is gone’ rings really hollow when Corporate Officer #1 is sat ringside, when HHH, Pritchard and Stephanie are all featured as part of this ‘new’ era despite the fact they all knew what Vince was doing. Brock Lesnar is destined for a big return, stars who work there are openly still supporting Vince, the fact commentary can now say ‘professional wrestling’ does not take away from that

The change I would have had for Cody's win would have been to have Cody and Roman face off and then the bloodline emerges from the crowd, surrounding the ring. Then one by one we get the Cody Avengers coming out until they outnumber the bad guys. They all brawl on the outside while Cody and Roman continue their stare down. Eventually everyone brawls out of the arena, essentially saying to Cody that you're free from all the bad guys, go get him. They finally begin their fight until Cody eventually overcomes Roman. I will say though, the long term story notes that we did get were very good. Really loved the Seth story beats, distracting Roman in the pivotal moment. Only real change I would have made would see Cena not touch Roman, making the victory 100% clean for Cody. Great weekend!

Maybe it's just me, but this match wasn't as good as their previous Wrestlemania main event. A ton of interference from both sides taking away from it, even more than last year but at least last year made more sense. Like, why was Taker here? Overall, I think the match last year was better as a whole. Maybe everyone is seeing this one more fondly this moment because it just happened and because Cody finally won the title, but as a match, last year's was better.

I never understood Rollins character for the longest time. Then someone explained that he is like the Riddler. Riddler targeted Batman with games and well "riddles." They were deadly but it was more to manipulate and mess with Batman. Seth's character to me is he likes to play mind games and he does that with his outfits. Roman with the shield gear or Cody with Dusty's for examples. What happened on night 2 with Seth coming out in that gear makes that pov of Seth's character more reasonable to me.🤷

The group of people in front of me at the show wanted Roman to win. The one women even cried that he lost the title, they were totally against Cody. But they certainly sang ever lyric to his song when he came out.😂

Definitely top 3 Wrestlemanias, some people thought Austin would have made more sense, but I thought the final boss gets dropped by Wrestlemania’s true final boss, the Undertaker

The best part of night two was that damn near all of the fan’s predictions were wrong! No heel turn from Seth, no turn from the Rock and Cody is CHAMPION! Thank God because night one was awful.

I have a simple argument against the idea that the mainevent was predictable and that is we all had an actual fear that Roman could retain again. Like seriously we HOPED cody would win more than we saying we saw it coming. That is why this wasn't predictable cause it wasn't almost certain in our minds cause there was that worry. WM39 left a scar that things could go sideways so nooooo it wasn't predictable.

Once again, Seth is the architect of Romans career. He cost him everything for a second time. Seth is in Romans head. Corey always said "3 certainties in life; death, taxes and Rollins beats Reigns." Seth is a roadblock for Roman that Roman cant get over.

I understand how Cody has one world title, because there’s one belt. But, I believe, technically, Cody is not holding two world championships, but three.
The World Heavyweight and the WWE belt was combined into one in 2014. This was the black belt that Brock had. Then the blue/red Universal belt was also combined into that belt too at WM38. Until the company just says “WWE Championship” and stops saying “Undisputed WWE Universal Heavyweight Championship” those are distinct belts.
It honestly irks me how they unify two belts and then keep adding a new second, and then unifying that. Just separate the belt instead of making a new one. But they have done this for decades.

WrestleMania 39 and 40 were Infinity War and Endgame. Roman is clearly Thanos. Cody is obviously Captain America. That means Seth is Iron Man, making the ultimate sacrifice to finally put a suit of armor, or a shield, around the world.
    Cinema.

So it's confusing but despite Roman being presented with a singular belt representing the undisputed championship, both the WWE Championship and the Universal Championship are active and remain separate championships. So technically Cody is holding two belts right now unless they finally officially unify those titles.

I would book Roman and Seth at backlash over Seth costing Roman the belt, ending with a Roman loss and him continuing 2nd guess himself that would cost him his faction. Losses to Seth, Sikoa, and then the Rock (for title of Tribal Chief).

Pete is NOT wrong . Cody SHOULD have won last year . Roman winning was a mistake .
    But ….
They made the best out of their mistake. Night two ending was tremendous.
Cody is THE most important wrestler in the last 20 years .
