Dave has a good idea here:
Add a half umbrella over it and if it rains, all is good.
Good use for my compact single person travel hammock. It's almost too small to sleep in but this is a good alternative use for it. Thanks for the tip Dave...
That was incredible! Simple, effective, fast. Great trick Dave! Thanks so much for sharing!
That's a great idea Dave! And the brass tacks look great on your H&R.
very good one, what hammok is this pls?
and have u a video on ground seats without trees too? great job, thank you
Fantastic idea! I just bought a camo version for crossbow archery season.... TY!
Genius! I already have everything needed to make this work. Thanks for the tip.
I’m going to make some kind of sling hammock chair that I can hang on a tree. I will be making it out of some yellow material from an old pop-up tent. Great video👍. Dave, we miss you on dual survival. Glad to have you on UA-cam.
Hello from Oklahoma! Once again I learned something. And got some ideas. Thanks! And
God Bless!
I learn a lot from your vids friend; but this is by far the best yet. now I don't have to leave my ENO hammock in the shed anymore. thank you sir. GOD bless us all.
Awesome idea Dave!
You know I must say I always ground hurt myself and I love Innovation like this it is so pleasing Dave you're always inspiring I hope you always continue to make these type of videos
I believe "Fanatic outdoors " has a patent on the name Hammock chair hunting seat. Might wanna check. They been out for awhile
I love my Deadringer Hammock Seat for hunting. This is ok but looks tight on the hips. I'll give it a go for recreation though. Thanks.
That is a great way to make a comfortable, quick chair from my hammock. Thanks!!
Awesome. .so glad to have you Dave. .
God bless you Dave thank you for your knowledge and expertise a foldable metal chair I had in my hunting blind made a simple noise that went dink when I moved the herd was hidden by a portion of my blind when I lean forward an i when I seen the first deer chair it went dink as I watched 15 Deer Run Away very sad God bless you brother merry Christmas to you and yours from me and mine
Ingenious idea and clearly demonstrated and details explained as always. Thanks!
Howdy Dave another good idea is a camo flotation pad from a canoe, It doesn't weigh much and it is comfy and super simple. also multi use if it's slick it can be used as a basic sled to drag the deer out on.
This is really a fantastic idea. I love going on hikes but I dont want to hang a hammock and get strange looks. This seems to be an amazingly light weight comfortable chair option for a much needed rest/snooze on the trail.
Very cool! I’m going to try this. Looks pretty comfortable too.
I love it. If I can sit or walk, I can get through about anything. This is perfect.
Love your channel,
Fantastically simple and smart idea; I’ll have to try this! Thanks Dave
Great idea! thanks for sharing this with us Dave.
Dave now that’s what I call innovative. Cool man!
Dave simply you are one of the best outdoor man! Take care and thanks for sharing! ;)
LOVE that tip Dave! Thank You!
Dave thanks for the awesome idea!!
A great Idea. Thx for showing.
If you are already carrying a hammock, this is a great idea. one good way of reducing the weight of your pack is to have items that can do multiple things. If your hammock is a hammock and a chair, you just increased what you can do with no added weight.
Nifty chair there Dave, gotta try that out on my next day hike/scout
Now that's a cool idea learn something new every day. Thanks for the tip.
I’ve been watching this channel a long time, way before duel survival and all that. This is exactly why! Awesome idea. Why the he’ll didn’t I think of this? 🤔
Nice always made mine on A frame leaned up against a tree but that's much faster . I bet you could make a quick super shelter out of it I'll have to give it a try
Nice I think I will be using that idea!!!
That was a great idea Dave, Happy Holiday's
Here is the kind of video that I wish to see of you to perfect my learnings. Thank you sir..
Such an excellent idea. I've already did this a few times since watching the video.
Great idea! Thank you.
Thanks again Dave.
Awesome video. I was just out last week for a full day of ground hunting and this would have been great.
I gotta wonder if that would really be comfortable sitting for long periods. Dave I'm looking for a looong barrel single shot "do it all" 12 gauge...?
Awesome idea. Thanks Dave
What happen to wildernessoutfiters
I've been carrying one of those lightweight aluminum frame collapsible chairs... worth every single one of the 32oz.
David, does your store not carry the matching stove for the 64 oz. bushpot any more? Looked like a mighty combo...
Brilliant idea and thanks for sharing
Pretty cool ....thanks.......
Gonna use this all the time. I always have the issue of having one tree, or trees that are in just the wrong positions. Need to come up with a Brazilian hammock and use a adaptation of that setup.
hey Dave is that cross on your single shot inlayed or is it glued on?
Excellent ! Top tip as always brother! 😀👍🏽👍🏽
Great Idea.
I’m actually impressed 😀 top idea 👍🏻
Great idea
excellent video
I like that idea. Already have some river willows in mind to use this system
Combines two of my favorite things, nice.
Dave, what pack is that?
I will remember this one - thanks for sharing and have a nice day.
Im not nearing as tall as you Dave, so I would have plenty of problems having my but hit the bottom anywasys...thanks
What is your jacket please?
very nice idea, thanks for sharing.
Thank you I am trying this out ASAP!!!!!
Cool beans Dave.
Butt...not familiar with Ohios game laws..not sure if the Deer seasons are still open Down there,im in Michigan...no Hunter Orange?...that drab color hammock swinging around..im assuming you're on pathfinder property..but...never know when someone could wander through...not being a Dink...but look forward to more Dave Canturberrys vids..you Dig?
Michael Richardson deer is over. Just squirrel left. Good point about the hammock. Definitely looks like a deer especially at that height.
I'm also curious what the pack is.
Dave, I like your videos but that looks very close to a sit drag. I can't help but wonder if this was inspired by the sitdrag. If it was then they deserve a shoutout. If not then there's obviously an inspiration or story.
I don't even know what that is?
I watched the brain tanning series you posted and was wondering what needle you used to sew the beaver pelt onto the stretcher? What type of thread did you use and where did you get them from? Thank You!
Jr Rodriguez it was most likely a glovers needle, they have a point that actually cuts. You could use artificial sinew for somethin like that. Real sinew if your really trying to be traditional. Tandy leather and many other places carry these just do a search for glovers needle.
Great tip👍👊🤘
Thanks much. Your freaking awesome sir blessings 😇
What pack is that?
What's a JB hammock you don't sell them on your website???
great idea, never thought of that.... will definately use
That is a great idea - have to try that nice time I'm out
Great idea Dave! Thanks for the tip!
I'd be napping in that in 5 minutes flat.
Nice
Very cool
What pack are you using??
Fjallraven
Thanks for the tip
Pause+ 4:21 ur taking a leisurely stroll through the woods one day, you think you see something up ahead hanging from a tree, you get closer 😨, holy shit it's Dave Canterbury about to pepper my ass with lead, didn't know I was trespassing honest sir!
You could also do that same technique with an stout overhead branch or tree that is fallen over and held off the ground at a good angle.
Dave Canterbury what pack is that?
I’d like to know as well
Fjallraven I think.
I'd like to know as well!
the trouble I see with is if decide you need to stand and stretch your legs you now have a blowing sheet that will be a problem
Set your bag in your seat.... Or simple bungee around tree and hammock would eliminate the flowing in the wind
Boy Dave, did I ever get the tingles when you crossed me/the camera with your shot gun.. weird. thanks for the tip. i guess if it pinches the shoulders a spreader stick is simple enough. take care.
10* Good application ....
no my secret as been leaked lol
Cool
I would never be out there wearing brown or sitting in a brown hammock! Any dumb guy to eager to shoot something will see what looks like a deer rump behind a tree and shoot you. Better safe then sorry. Hunting accidents happen every year. Be safe out there!
Brilliant
very slick
Is that a 410
Jim Dawn It's probably a 12 gauge
I wonder why you wouldn't think to carry a field net you spoke about for utility (ua-cam.com/video/NHCRWET1ZxY/v-deo.html) instead. If you do get lucky your seat helps you pack everything out. I've been doing that since you showed the idea and it is perfect for this. Keep up the great work!
Good one dave. Cb75
I use a piece of old leather from a leather couch just unroll it and sit down good enough
Just need a rear view mirror
Be good for camping also
11 assholes dislike this.
It must have been the very handy and informative video with easy to follow instructions. Or maybe the simplicity and practicality of the content, yeah, that has to be it.
Great idea. Thanks for sharing.
Great idea
Great idea.
