    Dave has a good idea here:
    Add a half umbrella over it and if it rains, all is good.

    Good use for my compact single person travel hammock. It's almost too small to sleep in but this is a good alternative use for it. Thanks for the tip Dave...

    I’m going to make some kind of sling hammock chair that I can hang on a tree. I will be making it out of some yellow material from an old pop-up tent. Great video👍. Dave, we miss you on dual survival. Glad to have you on UA-cam.

    Howdy Dave another good idea is a camo flotation pad from a canoe, It doesn't weigh much and it is comfy and super simple. also multi use if it's slick it can be used as a basic sled to drag the deer out on.

    This is really a fantastic idea. I love going on hikes but I dont want to hang a hammock and get strange looks. This seems to be an amazingly light weight comfortable chair option for a much needed rest/snooze on the trail.

    If you are already carrying a hammock, this is a great idea. one good way of reducing the weight of your pack is to have items that can do multiple things. If your hammock is a hammock and a chair, you just increased what you can do with no added weight.

    I watched the brain tanning series you posted and was wondering what needle you used to sew the beaver pelt onto the stretcher? What type of thread did you use and where did you get them from? Thank You!

    • @philw8049
      @philw8049 6 років тому

      Jr Rodriguez it was most likely a glovers needle, they have a point that actually cuts. You could use artificial sinew for somethin like that. Real sinew if your really trying to be traditional. Tandy leather and many other places carry these just do a search for glovers needle.
