Hi Dave. I have been watching your videos since 2008-09. I was in Iraq at the time (USMC) and your videos took my mind off of the stresses I had to endure. Thank you. I read my side of the mountain and hatchet as a kid, since then I have had a desire to do survival type stuff. You taught me the fundamentals of bush craft and survival skills and as a result I have been able to pass that knowledge on. Thank you for being my mentor. I hope to meet you in person some day. you may only stand 5'8" but to me you are larger than life. Thank you!

Cool idea for at camp. The website has one my size. Also On the fence about the PKS Grizzly. Can you do a video showing the Grizzly skinning game? The batoning isn't important to me because I have a Tomahawk for that, but I'd like to know how it holds up to skinning medium to large game. Skinning medium to large game, in my opinion, is more important (to me) than batoning a stick. Never done that with a knife, but I have used my main blade for skinning a deer and would like to get the Grizzly if it can do that task. NOBODY has ever shown a video using the main knife for skinning game. curious, as that seems it would be more important than batoning.

DAVE: PLEASE have better pictures of the plants than a lot of the guides do (the only really good one I ever saw was the National Audibon Society Guide to Trees- never saw anything comparable with plants). It had the various identifiers (leaves, bark, etc) & seasonal pictures- all in detail.

On the off chance you get a chance to read all the comments you get, there's a company called Onewind that makes a very similar product. Theirs doubles as a backpack cover too. I'm nothing to do with them but I came across your video because the idea of a chair and gear sling to keep me and my stuff out the mud and a waterproof bag cover all in one could be very useful for British weather.

For someone that snores it may be promising to actually sleep in it if you need to be sitting up or elevated. I don't know? Looks good. I have a turkey hunting seat (very compact) made that way. It's a sling and has a small post sewn in one one end that can be adjusted like a tent pole. It goes into the base of the tree while the top is strapped to the tree! it is right comfortable.

Whats your height and weight? You dont appear to be a very large guy - not small but not a large man.
Im 6ft and 215lbs and dont think this hammock chair would be very comfortable for any extended use for guy my size. But having said that i have not been to the website so i dont know if they offer a larger size. if so, i dont feel the extra weight for a larger size would inhibit any packability or add any noticeable extra weight. Therefore, this could be a very useful item for camping, hunting, or simply a hike in the woods.

these chairs come in several sizes and can support over 400 lbs. if the back is hung lower it will recline you back and eliminate shoulder squeeze as well. go to terrapinoutfitters.com, or terrapin outfitters on facebook and see several photos. these chair are light, easy to use, and super comfy. I have 3 at home and my dad has purchase one as well.

But now I have a indoor hammock stand much safer the best choice hammock stand from Amazon it's the version with U shaped bar's. moral of the story I survived not even a scratch.
