Haven't tested, but I believe so.
There is one thing I dont understand about harvesting . No matter how good or hiw bad I do the mini game the plant or meat is always only fine. Is it supposed to be like that?
The quality is defined before you harvest it, you can see the quality with your Navi Sense. Check your hunter's guide to see where rarer versions of the materials spawn.
