after watching this stimulating video often (along with wife) many years ago when wing-suit vids were a rarity, we returned to a (new) wing-suit video today (2021) and the wing-suit visuals triggered the wife to auto-magically start humming/singing this tune in response to the visual. Her impulsive/sub-conscious response after YEARS is perhaps the most sincere affirmation of the audio-visual impact this classic video makes.
Jeb, you are obviously VERY capable and fearless as all 'get out'. The part where you scream between the trees is off the charts impressive. Continue with my blessing, you are incredible sir.
Ten years on, and I just recently bought the Invaders Must Die album because just the other day, I was feeling nostalgic, remembered this video, and looked up the album. Funny how things like this will stick with you. :)
I just wanted you to know that, for some reason, I'm crying after watching that. I think, deep down, every human wants to fly, and this video touched that part of me.
I really found it funny was how the video seemed to portray Jeb wearing his shades so casually. As though it were a regular everyday thing, literally flying through the air ha nice work
I love that flying!!! It has been my dreams in my sleep since 1965. I gotta do that!! For some reason, I don't think that's too far pushing it. Must be from my motocross days in the late 70's thru the end of the 80's.I went ALL OUT to the turns, then all out to the next turn! Gotta start with jumpin' out of a good workin' plane. 200? times? oooooffffaaaaa Hope to get thru the up chuck-ness.
@jebcorliss thanx for the inspiration jeb... i myself have skydived tandem a few times, once out of a chopper in lauttenbrunen. I look forward to my AFF and proximity flying someday.. KEEP EVOLVING ;)
If you watch the video above, you can see that Jeb carefully plans his routes to be the straightest routes possible. He's striving for the largest glide ratio, and keeps as straight of a glide as possible. The only place that he truly banks is right after 'Grinding the Crack', but he had built up immense speed as was able to turn without issue. You do notice, however, that he comes out of the bank relatively slower than when he came in. Take a look at it.
Holy shit i cant imagine that type of sensation. Amazing. Makes you wonder why you aren't doing something spectacular with your life. The world is a beautiful place.
I can just about fathom how this is possible, if your descending at 30mph as opposed to 120 without a suit....but your horizontal speeds must be massive!. This is 3D F1 driving with no brakes and a lot of beautiful traffic! craziest video I have seen.
That was absolutely incredible, well done Jeb your a master at the wing suit, what advise would you give to someone just starting to get into the skydiving industry like myself?
This Music is awesome. After watching his documentary he's a big inspiration. he turned depression into base jumping (not drugs). After his accident Jeb said "he takes NO pain medicine". He's not only a smart intelligent human being but he's very very good at what he does; that's why he's still alive. He's the michael jordan of Extreme sports.
I would give any amount of money to try this. He's basically FLYING! Not even falling, FLYING! DANG! Good lord, I can't imagine how amazing the feeling must be...
The angle of attack isn't the only thing that can cause a stall on an airfoil. You can stall with the airfoil flat. When he tilts his wings, and in the case of a wing-suit, his entire body, the lift is redirected from pushing against gravity to pushing his body in a different direction, forcing him to turn. But because the lifting force is being shifted from vertical to horizontal, he loses lift, causing a textbook scenario of a stall. In General Aviation this is called a 'wingtip stall.'
Hey Jeb ! I remember you on TV saying 'the question isn't if you are going to die, but when'...I hope you're OK, and think of what you said...Cheers.. we need people like you, but ALIVE.
I agree!!!! I must do this before I die, I don't know who you are but what you did is truely amazing! How do you begin to train for something like this? Video was incredible as well, what you did was so amazing it needs to be recognized. Well done!
jeph they still land with a traditional parachute, with these "Squirrel" suits you have to be moving forward at a fairly high rate of speed to be able to maintain any kind of lift, therefore its impossible to slow down enough to touch down gently. usually they will pull up to slow down and gain a little altitude then pull their chute. amazing, i'd love to try this myself
Stall delay can occur on airfoils subject to a high angle of attack and a three-dimensional flow. When the angle of attack on an airfoil is increasing rapidly, the flow will remain substantially attached to the airfoil to a significantly higher angle of attack than can be achieved in steady-state conditions. As a result, the stall is delayed momentarily and a lift coefficient significantly higher than the steady-state maximum is achieved.
Thank you Jeb! I knew someone could fly there from that other guys video that went to the left of there. That is AWESOME flyin'! I wanna do that some day as well! Take care & post more when you can. Man! I wanna do that. It's kinda like the risks I took in my motocross racing days. Times ten! I gotta learn to jump out of a perfectly good working airplane 200 times so I can get certified for a wingsuit.
@dsmdeegenWhich means the wingsuit can actually end up flying at (160+100) 260 km/h relative to the ground, just because of the push the wind is giving. This is similar to a boat in a river, going slower upstream and faster downstream.
@dsmdeegenThe average forward speed of a wingsuit is around 160 km/h (100 mph). But the direction flown with regards to the wind has a big influence in the resulting ground speed. If there are 100 km/h upper winds, flying into the wind, the wingsuit will only fly at a ground speed of (160-100) 60 km/h. If the wind is in the back during flight, the wind speed actually ads to the speed of the wingsuit.
@PrestigeWorldwide36 I believe he is in the 70-80mph range with the suit. Terminal velocity free fall you reach about 115-120mph. correct me if im wrong.
@OrangeSVTguy No.Jeb uses custom made titanium testicle covers designed to reduce drag. However, due to the fact Jeb ordered an extra pair of covers, there is an acute shortage of the worlds titanium supply.
Awesome stuff...no place to do that here in the south of Ireland-our biggest cliff is probably not much more than 100ft high...Hmm, don't think it'd be much fun jumping off that!! :)
This guy said he wants to land one day without parachute, but he needs to practice alot and they need to build some special runway he said. That would be awesome to see.

have watched this a dozen times, and it still blows me away.. sick music selection.
well i'm not sure hellen keller had wingsuit in mind when she wrote that lol !
Jeb, you are obviously VERY capable and fearless as all 'get out'. The part where you scream between the trees is off the charts impressive. Continue with my blessing, you are incredible sir.
Hard to believe that was already 11 years ago.
Ten years on, and I just recently bought the Invaders Must Die album because just the other day, I was feeling nostalgic, remembered this video, and looked up the album. Funny how things like this will stick with you. :)
Igualmente a mi
Same
This is hands down the coolest thing I've ever seen.
Wow. I will seriously consider making this into a full time hobby. Life is too short to miss out on something that looks as amazing as this.
I just wanted you to know that, for some reason, I'm crying after watching that. I think, deep down, every human wants to fly, and this video touched that part of me.
This is INSANE! I've watched wingsuit videos before but you fly in between trees and around statues and stuff. DAMN!
No matter what this video always makes me smile. Muchos Huevos Jeb!
Absolutly amazing! Congrats to you.
If you get to go there again, shoot in 1080p so we can sorta see how awesome it is to see what you see!
I hope your recovering fast mate, Hope to see you get in your suit and make more kickass vids.
I really found it funny was how the video seemed to portray Jeb wearing his shades so casually. As though it were a regular everyday thing, literally flying through the air ha nice work

Way to go Jeb! That video is unreal. I'd so love to try that.
If this is just a demo I can't wait for the full game
This dude is my oficial hero from now on!! I'm gonna do this when I pass my skydiving exam!!
This sure beats my dreams as a child of flying across my front lawn :)
+Gods Blessings Jeb+
You will always be in our prayers.

Thank you for having been born.
Thank you Jeb!

How can some dislike this? .... Anyway, I guess this proves it again: Impossible to please everybody. And luckily don´t have to. Beautiful video!
The best part about the video is how he makes it look easy
Jeb Corliss is nuts. What a badass
HOW COULD ANY1 DISLIKE THIS?!!!!!!!!! MAN AM SPEECHLESS
Absolutely incredible, I'd like to know how much distance you actually covered lol
DAMN!!!! Great vids. My question is how could I get into this extreme-ass sport.
This looks like the most awesome thing ever
insane vid and nice choice of music

Badass! Intense rush I'm sure! Props man!

Who is this Jeb character?
Kidding
Sick!
This is great. keep it up Jeb.
That was GREAT !!! You should make a suit in Superman colors and even add in a cape (if that would not interfere with the aerodynamics that is)
Holy crap he is going FREAKING FAST. I'd be crying, not smirking.
Damn good song, damn cool flight. That is so amazing.
How could someone dislike this?
BATMAN, SUPERMAN and all the others SUPER HEROS are little babies !
I'm done too, this sure TOPS everything so far !
I NEED ONE OF THESE NOW.
@PrestigeWorldwide36 I believe he is in the 70-80mph range with the suit. Terminal velocity free fall you reach about 115-120mph.

That's basically a dream come true right there.
Dude can't believe he was in my country!
@OrangeSVTguy No.Jeb uses custom made titanium testicle covers designed to reduce drag. However, due to the fact Jeb ordered an extra pair of covers, there is an acute shortage of the worlds titanium supply.
If there is anything that a man can do, that is more epic than this, please let me know.
You insane person! How I love the things you do! :)
I think, that Jeb has brain like hazel-nut, but knackers like watermelun :-)
Salute dude!
I shat myself a dozen times while watching this. Now I feel like trying it myself.
never realized the tech was this good...you seem to have excellent control. your design?
This would be so awesome to try!
This has to be the ultimate feeling in the world!
this is the most awesome thing one can do.
He makes it look so easy but I know there is more to it.
thats just amazing!@ sad we cant all experience it in our lifetime but he achieved it. But one must ask.... how does he stop?
19 anos depois, eu finalmente achei esse vídeo. 🎉🎉
And look how fucking calm he looks the whole time. Insane.
At 1:39 when you fly through the waterfall, is that just outside of Lauterbrunnen in Switzerland? Crazy Video!!
Awesome stuff...no place to do that here in the south of Ireland-our biggest cliff is probably not much more than 100ft high...Hmm, don't think it'd be much fun jumping off that!! :)
You forgot one quote in the beginning:
"Its not flying, its falling, with style"
-Buzz Lightyear
That is just plan SICK! Defiantly makes me want to start jumping!
@mik3
i agree, the most amazing video i have ever seen .
Mike.
This guy said he wants to land one day without parachute, but he needs to practice alot and they need to build some special runway he said. That would be awesome to see.
This....is the most awesome thing ever!
I would love to go see one of his flights! Are you out of the hospital and into a suit again yet?
