I have been trying to use these type of transitions in my drone videos but every time they just look cheesy and out of place so I just revert back to a plain fade or jump cut. What would you try in these type of videos?
Well it’s tough with a drone because you don’t have the same maneuverability as you do with a camera in your hand or on a gimbal. I would look for some plug in options like mShine from MotionVFX. That works pretty well in certain scenarios with drone footage.
