You're my favorite colorist on YT I've seen so far because of the density of color and bright palette. It seems all the others are so much about shading. I just want to see the pure colors used with skill like you do.TFS!
Thankyou for showcasing these wonderful pages! You must love especially playing with watercolour media, your talent is really blossoming, and very inspiring. Always lots to learn from your videos.
Lovely pages. Nearly all colourists love prisma colouring pencils but I find them difficult to use, probably too creamy for my limited skill. Thank you very much for showing us your beautiful books and coloured pages. 💐🌸🌷
Thoroughly enjoyed seeing all your beautiful pictures. You have a wonderful sense of colour and light! It was nice to see all your pages together. Thanks for sharing.
So talented! I don’t have enough experience yet and really don’t know if I’ll ever have the patience for all that detail, but wow does it look amazing!
Yeah so exciting your amazing 💕✨I think we all had "those" first colouring pages that we have all improved on our skills over the years because of wonderful you tube colourist like you that we have learnt from so thank you ❤️✨
Thankyou for sharing your coloured pages. Lovely book and works. You certainly know how to use your art paints and pencils. Are you are self taught artist. Loved seeing how you started out in the beginning up till now. Great work🤗
Some really lovely works here. Your skill level ramped up very quickly. I'm currently trying to finish my WIP collection! I don't want to start anything new until I've finished them off. But I'm torn because I want to do a picture in Summer Nights in memory of Katrine @alwayscolouring so I should really start and finish that one.
Oh that's so sad, Sue. I'm sure I've heard that channel name and I also saw a few coloring pictures on Instagram dedicated to somebody called Katrine but I didn't know who Katrine was. I probably should know what WIP is but I'm having a really thick moment and just cannot think what it is??? lol
The Art Spirits sorry, being lazy. WIP = work in progress. It’s used a lot in the 2 colouring groups I’m in. I forgot some people won’t know that. Yes Katrine was a lovely girl. Her colouring and live streams were very relaxing. She loved all the muted pinks and purples and flesh colours. Hundreds of colourings were done under the hashtag #alwayscoloring and @coloringforkatrine. She was only 23, died of a blood clot in her lung, instantly. Appreciate every day!
Oh, it's heartbreaking. I searched for her channel and instantly recognized her as I have actually seen a couple of her videos in the past but I wasn't actually subscribed for some reason. Must have forgot to click subscribe. I usually subscribe to all the coloring channels. That's probably why I thought I didn't know her. Her poor family must be devastated. Oh right, work in progress, of course. And here's me looking at my coloring bookshelf, scanning all the spines, trying to find something that fits, lol 🙄
Beautiful colouring and fabulous book collection! What watercolour pencils are your favourite to use in colouring books and on watercolour paper? I’d like to get some or add them to my birthday list at least lol....Susie xxx💕
Hi Susie, my favourite's are the Albrecht Durer ones by Faber Castel. They completely dissolve, leaving no marks on the paper and are highly pigmented. Here is the Amazon link to them geni.us/eALcel
I love your work and I subscribed to your channel! Thank you for sharing your art with us all. I can’t quite make out all that you said but your artwork speaks for itself! Just lovely!
Hi Rebecca, I’m enjoying colouring “Floribunda” by Leila Duly at the moment, have you seen it? It has really heavy, almost card weight paper, I would be really interested to see how you would colour the beautiful pictures in it. I have been using Faber Castell polychromos and prisma colours only. Love seeing all the different mediums you use in your books, thanks for sharing x 😃
You are a very talented colorist! Can I ask you, how do you choose your color palette for the picture you decide to color? How do you build your colors on that picture?
Absolutely love your book collection I’m like you I love the pictures and I am also a slow coloring person but you mentioned transferring images to watercolor paper do you have to have a special printer and special ink or can you do that with any printer
Hi Theresa, I don't have a printer that will print on watercolor paper, unfortunately, as the paper is too thick. It is possible to use a laser printer that takes thicker paper/card. The laser printer ink would not run when water touches it so that would be ideal, but I don't have one of those either, lol. I transfer the images to watercolour paper using various different methods. I did actually make a video about this. If you would like to watch it, here is the link ua-cam.com/video/K_ffc70i1W0/v-deo.html
Beautiful pages. I’m trying to find an effective method to be able to use watercolors on books without ruining them, or how efficiently transfer the images to watercolor paper.
Yazmin, you can put a couple of layers of 'Satin Glazing Liquid' by the 'Golden' brand on your colouring book pages as a primer. This really helps the paper take watercolour better.
@@TheArtSpirits I was finally able to get ahold of the Golden satin glazing fluid!!! I wish the shipping cost to Mexico weren't so high, otherwise, I'd get your watercolors! They are beautiful! I do have family in Spain and Switzerland, but with all the travel restrictions who knows when I'll be able to visit them.
Really beautiful colouring, particularly those in watercolour and the rabbit from the Alice book was gorgeous! If you don’t mind me asking, how do you prevent your pages from buckling when using watercolours?
I think they often run out of stock. Just keep checking, Kim. I was watching Droom Reis for ages as it was also saying 'currently unavailable' but then one day, it was in stock so I got a copy. Infact, it's happened to me with a few books in the past. I keep them in basket 'save for later' section and just keep an eye on it and they usually come back in stock eventually. The fact that the seller has not deleted the listing indicates that they intend to restock it a some point.
Hi Yadira, I use different mediums. Sometimes watercolor paint or watercolor pencils or just ordinary pencils. The only think I can't use is the pastel as it goes through me and I can't stand touching it.
Oh yes, I love her channel. It was one of the first art channels I started watching. She's great, isn't she? Great Artist and a great personality too. Really lovely lady, although I am slightly jealous of her art supply collection, lol. 😍😁
The Art Spirits lol me too awesome collection also check out the Art Sherpa she does acrylic but has just started water colour lessons she is fabulous and such an amazing human being I think you would enjoy her ❤️✨🌷❤️Tanya
I think you are just to hard on your-self. I love the coloring pages and you need to go back and finish the ones you have started. Always keep a piece of paper at had when you are coloring to write the name brand of the are supplies you are using and number ,color so you have a record of what you have used so you can pickup where you left off at a later date. It really works to help with memory when you can not remember what art supplies you used. Love Terri Simmers.
Yes, I do the same! I write down the name of the coloringbook, the drawing, the sort of medium and brand. In a little book, that you also can decorate in your own style! Also list the pencil numbers when you're not finished with a drawing. Sometimes you lose interest in a drawing and want to come back to it on a later date.🤗 Happy coloring everyone!🌺💋
I'm watching while working some crochet. I could listen to you talk all day
Awww, thanks 😁
I’m left speechless by your talent! Thank you for sharing. I wish I could color only half as well as you....

Oh Wow, thank you so much 😁

I know how long it takes to complete those pages with so much detail. Amazing body of work. thanks as always for sharing.

Aww, sorry about that. Was it my accent? Or was I mumbling????
The Art Spirits. lol! It was your sweet accent! I guess I’m not used to it and couldn’t make out everything you said.
Wow lovely colouring !
So talented, you must work on each for quite awhile, I’m in awe of the emphasis you place on fine details. How many books do you own?

Lovely work😊
What do you use to color the backgrounds?
Hi Yadira, I use different mediums. Sometimes watercolor paint or watercolor pencils or just ordinary pencils. The only think I can't use is the pastel as it goes through me and I can't stand touching it.

Hi Rebecca,do you always put a base of clear gesso or whatever you use down first before you actually put watercolor down ? Gorgeous work Rebecca.
Very nice 👍👍😍
I also got that Alice and the wonderland. I got that coloring book at Ollie's for 1.99.
🤩🤩🤩
I got that coloring book. I bought mine at Walmart.
You should do books on tape your voice is bomb
Perhaps leave a little note with your unfinished pages stating the colours you used for future reference?
Hey Rebecca have you checked out Lindsay the Frugal Crafter? She teaches watercolour painting she is amazing 😉
