Have you ever heard of the Project Pan community here on UA-cam? Traditionally they try to use up their makeup, but I’ve started applying the ideas and standards to my art supplies. My coloring books and enormous colored pencil collection is at the top of my list right now. It would be cool to see you “pan” empty coloring books or something.
Your work is so beautiful. So delicately applied and such pretty muted colours. Everything I colour looks like I applied felt tip pen in comparison. I must learn how to do muted, limited palette pictures.

You're color schemes are breathtaking. Even your first pictures colored are beautiful. You are soooooo talented. I've tried working with the ink with the inking tool and am struggling with uneven color but I just recently tried soft makeup brushes and am becoming more successful. Please keep doing your tutorials. I really appreciate learning from you.

wow! so glad i came across this video, you are sooo talented, seeing the creative ways you use distress inks and blending techniques has really inspired me! i used to be really into the adult colouring books about 2 years ago since it really helped me relax and helped my anxiety! then i stopped since i was getting discouraged with the way my pages were turning out, (was using just basic coloured pencils) lately ive been wanting to start colouring again, im going to look for a new book & some new materials to colour with! thank you for sharing :)

All your coloring pages that you have done are just beautiful. You can really tell you put your all into them. I find it surprising you can remember what pencils you used. I have a lot of the books you have in the beginning of the video and then later. Was wondering how many books you have? I noticed you only color one or two pages in each book. My husband made the comment just yesterday that I only color one or two pages then move on. I have 100 + books, 1000 colored pencils, and just now found alcohol markers so I have a set of Copic and a se of 205 shuttle art I think they are I been enjoying both, been coloring 3 or 4 years and you have way more colored than me. And are more advanced than me. But I do work full-time. Was wondering if you think buying coloring books and mediums an addition.? I feel it is. But they bring me lots of joy. Can't wait to watch more of your past videos and learn about distressed ink and other things I'm not familiar with. Keep up the great work!😊

I have around 70 books, some are gifts most I purchased as to coloring a few pages in each book, It is called showing each book a little love... lol I have finished one book and am close to finishing two others. I color what I am inspired by or have fun with. Do I think this hobby is an addiction? Well... as in any hobby you like to have the latest and greatest toys to play with so in that sense maybe... lol It could be worse, say a hobby collecting cars or the latest computerized gadget... lol Take care
Karen, you first book, you do a double page spread, lol, only you would attempt that and successfully at that! Lol. You have a fabulous brain, what an idea to copy the backend of the wolf so you have a complete wolf, stunning the way you colored him/her, just a gorgeous wolf! Most of the time it is from the ink pad with a distress inking tool, sometimes I use them as a watercolor with a water brush, and sometimes as stamping...
I later found a video of yours coloring with the sponges... I’ve used them both ways. Just curious how you were getting it so smooth. Now I know. Thank you! Have a great day!😊

I thoroughly enjoyed watching this video, I think your style has become instantly recognisable to me; beautiful restrained colour combinations, you always innately know when to stop. I am intrigued by your use of distress inks, I've watched your videos where you use them in the background, but then you say you've used them to paint the images; how are you applying the colour, with a brush?
Thank you, I apply the distress ink to a plastic sheet and use a water brush to pick it up and use it like water color, it is a water based ink, and it gives a soft lay down of color.

I really enjoyed seeing all of your completed pages! They are all stunning! I date all of my pages now so I can see my progression. I started with Pitt Pens (still love them them when my hands hurt) and now I'm a Poly girl. I do have the full set of Prisma pencils but I can't burnish (don't have the hand strength). Do you do most of your burnishing with pencil, the Prisma blender pencil or Gamsol? I'm also super excited to find another great looking coloring channel!
Thank you, yes I do most burnishing/blending with the pencils themselves. I don't use chemicals on any pages, I will only use a fixative on pan pastels.
You are so talented. I have never heard of distressed ink. I never colored on grey scale. I have a Halloween book by Molly Harrison and her paper I agree is really thin. I wish I had your techniques for coloring. I love using gel pens and pencils.

@@ZucchiniKitty That would be awesome! I have one started that the hair was throwing me off so I've put her aside until I learn to do skin better and I'll use my neos or some paint as a base for her hair like I watched Dede do.

Thank you, most of my ideas on color combos for flowers and leaves come from my garden. Animals will either take on the colors from the page or inspiration off the internet
