We all do our best. I’m using coloring to help me relax from cancer radiation and learning a lot about shading and stuff I never knew. It really is relaxing.
One main thing i love about this piece is that she is doing the background FIRST! when you are doing forest or jungle scenes is that it is best to do the background first because the background will tell you what colors to use for the leaves and flowers. its beautiful!

I love what you added to the background. I added things to one of my coloring pages before. Before that I never would of thought of doing it. But for some coloring pages. It does seem to make everything pop. 🙂 Now I will have to look for this one too. Love the dark colors for that picture. 🙂 I need a new set of Prismacolored pencils. They are great Pencils. That is all my mother ever used in her art.

Chris you don't have to be qualified to be an artist. Many fine artists are self taught and do beautiful work. You have such an eye for color.and you think up different ways to do each picture. It's this kind of talent that you seem to have that counts toward becoming an artist. Anyway I love your work and many others out there love your work as well. Happy coloring!
I just wanderlust-ed thru youtube and found your channel.. I am so amazing on not only the way you coloured the picture that was provided... But also what you added to it. You made it into an actual scene. With the trees.. and the added vines. This was so amazing I am in awe. You are so talented! I have to say, I have always really bit the big one with coloured pencils.. But just watching this video, I have learned so much! How to add and how to build up colours.. I never ever thought I would even attempt another page with coloured pencils, and maybe it will suck.. but I at least have seen your technique and I can try to apply that to the supplies that I have and see where it goes. It looks so amazing. Writing off a medium just because you do not understand how to use it is not the way to go. I will try try try again! Thank you, you are such an inspiration! Well done!

Omg. I have an adult coloring book for relaxation, and I cannot do anything like this lol. I feel kind of pathetic watching yours compared to mine hahaha
Keep practicing. It takes some time to learn different techniques and each brand of pencil has a different touch. A good brand of pencil makes a huge difference. I have many brands of pencils and love them all. Definitely recommend prismacolor premiere pencils.
@@cathyo6710 i love prismacolor pencils but i also enjoy marco renoir oil based pencils. One day i pray i can buy the holbert and polychroms or caran dache luminance. I have the caran dach neocolorii and the neocolor i metallic crayons. I hbent used they yet. I also havee the two sets from china that have 160 pencils each one is oil based and the other is not..still habe yet to try them...so far the marco renoir n prismacolor sets are my go to...

Its about details like shadowing and high lighting and of course a good color blending pencils.
