This game takes place in a real place... if you look at the map of the one main city, and compare it to the actual city today... you can see it yourself. Kingdom Come: Deliverance was a massive breath of fresh air for me. I overlooked the bugs because of how immersive the gameplay was. "What do I want to do today? If anyone is wondering why almost every drink being given is a form of alcohol: wine and alcohol during those times were basically drinking water (not really a 100% replacement but still drunk more often) as those tend to be cleaner and safer than the water most people would find back then or are easier to store + maintain in large settlments away from natural reserves. Plus, some can be useful medicinally as well. Pure drinking water was more of a second choice drink than anything.

@shawncc89 That was the worse part for me, my navigation skills sucks lol I was always checking the map for reference points, like crosses, accidents, etc. and comparing my surroundings with the map. But of course, I got lost a thousand times lol Eventually, after all those hours, I kind already knew where I was most of the times.

Would totally watch you do a "Let's Play" of this. It's got a steep learning curve and there's always danger when fighting multiple enemies, but damn is it satisfying once you've mastered it and start growing in power!
fun fact: the guy that created this game, Dan Vávra was also a guy that worked on the first two Mafia games. He left before they started to develop the third Mafia because their studio was "sold" to Hangar 13 and they actually were shitting at his work and told him what to do. His original idea for the third Mafia was to play as a gangster commiting crimes in the 60-70s and as a policeman thag tries to investigate these crimes. J.F.K was supposed to be somehow involved in this story (his assasination etc.) So he left and made his own studio Warhorse and made this masterpiece.
Thank you for sharing this info! Looked him up and he seems like an incredible guy! I’m only disappointed he’s not got more games I can buy and support him with!
I am addicted to this game. Killing guards and every people of Sasau and the monastary made me feel very lonely later. so made Henry surrender and spent 10 days only in prison 😄
I have actually playing the game to and I found it so hard to lock pick the chest that I just ended up knocking out a guard and taking his stuff. So props to you for actually unlocking the chest!
This game has the most innovative quest design ever made... Like it gives you so many approaches to do the same thing and people will have so many different reactions to it based on your actions...And dialogue options appear based on what you have done... And also you can improve your skill to persuade or intimidate people... It's so perfectly done and works so well... No other rpg does this so well... Not even Red Dead 2 or Elder Scrolls or Witcher 3....
Honestly this is my favorite RPG game of all time. Not only does it feel realistic but the literal progression from a nobody to an deadly swordsman is amazing. It's attention to detail is also impressive. I'm just waiting for the sequel of this game the most in the future
Ah...when I found out you could ice just about everyone in this game...well let's just say there were a lot less npcs walking around until I found out my quests needed some of them to continue on
This is one of the singleplayer game that I can play for a pretty long time, usually I got bored quickly because singleplayer don't have real human interaction, but this one just different for me
Please play more of this game mate. One of my all time favourites. There haven't been many games with as much love, care and devotion put into it as much as Warhorse have done with KCD. I wish I could go back and experience this almost masterpiece for the first time again. Discover all the mechanics and learn how to live in Bohemia for the first time again. I made so many hilarious mistakes, going back and replaying it now, knowing everything I do, just isn't the same. Hoping for a sequel soon!
Kingdom Come Deliverance is actually a really good game with some deep story lines that don't hold anything back. Plenty of optional side quests, weapons, armor and clothes to choose from. The combat is completely unique in my experience and imo is a great system for melee weapons, archery is a really challenging. You haven't gotten to the tournaments and large battles yet.
This game is loads of fun, as long as you kinda understand Eastern European game design. There is some jank, but as a package deal the whole thing is glorious. 10/10 medieval hardship simulator, would get dysentery again.
This video game is criminally underrated. I hope everyone gives it a chance. I think the tutorial is necessary to be that long, but yeah. You've barely scratched the surface here.
I only just finished this last year, having heard little about it. Really is an underrated game. The DLC is quite good too. In Talmburg though you missed a chance to flirt with the Lady!
Wild timing... I actually just finished playing through Kingdom Come Deliverance for the first time. like you, I tried it and put it down a couple times in the past after just playing in the intro. This time I completed the game, nearly 100% and it's it goes on my list as one of my favorites.
No games are too realistic, the developers just wanna make a game where you have to be as careful as in real life in the medieval era. The game just does not grab your hand and guide you. Basically, a masterpiece
I love how people always try to do a British accent when playing this game even though it takes place in Bohemia, in the Holy Roman Empire, in Central Europe
I found out about you a few days ago from your star citizen video, I love your reviews of games, you upload good substantial episodes of good length that really show enough of the game to judge it! and this episode was so fun to watch, thanks a bunch, keep it up! and please play more of KCD!!!
I really liked this, just a heads up though man, the easiest way to escape that town at the start can be as simple as just hopping off the portcullis entrance and booking it lol, this game is a favourite of mines i hope you enjoy!
I absolutely love this game, the storytelling, the graphics, the historical accuracy and.. the infamous combat system. At first I hated it, because it's hard on purpose. When you master it you feel pretty good. Spent more than 100h on this game. It's like playing a childhood knight adventure. The game doesnt lead you by the hand. When I left the castle, I just jumped off the little bridge and ran away escaping guards haha I didn't even know you could steal a guard uniform... I hope there are making a sequel. Anyway, thanks for showing it!
I bought this game twice. Once on console and another on Steam. It's on my to do list still. But it was great on console for the two weeks I played it. Such a great world to explore, such as the thick forests etc. Amazing!
Played this game around 2 years ago, loved this game so much, it was a very immersive Medieval game that I've always wanted. I honestly loved that swordplay system, it's just a very unique experience that's different to many other game, very hard but satisfying to master, in some ways kinda reminds me of Gothic's swordplay system in how you can't just mash a button to defeat your enemy, and it has an actual sense of weight when your sword hit your enemy. Also the game balancing is very good, it makes sure that you have to get better, leveling up and actually get better at the swordplay system to win against stronger enemies, those enemies are not hard to defeat just because they have more health or damage like in so many other games, but they're just better than you with the swordplay and you can feel it when you fight them, how their attack are more varied than your attack, how their attack hit you harder than your attack at them, the sense of weight is there, you just have to play it and feel it yourself. Just some things that I hate from this game is their reputation system, it was a bit buggy. I remember stealing something from one of the house in the middle of the night without anyone looking(the house owner was sleeping) but I still got my reputation down. Also picking up plants animation was so slow that makes me hate it, I ended up using a mod to remove the animation, so much better. I also mod the save game system so I don't have to use that item(forgot the name) that was used to save game.
"Those enemies are not hard to defeat just because they have more health or damage like in so many other games" THIS! That way of making harder enemies is just so lazy, it feels so much real and believeable when they are actually better, more skillful than you and when they have a better, functional armor that you need to somehow work a way around.
Most immersive singleplayer RPG I ever played. The quests are well thought of, and not your usual RPG quest lines. That one quest with Father Godwin was the most hilarious quest/story I ever played in my whole gaming experience lol you should keep playing to experience it yourself!
Watching you play this showed me just how good the opening tutorial area is. They taught you how to find solutions to people in your way really well, showed you that you need a healer when your beat down, all kinds of stuff. I really loved this game, though I would've loved to have a character creation "freeplay" mode, even if it was barebones. I honestly never got far in the story, I just started trading, fighting, and just making my way through the kingdom doing sidequests. I hadn't had that much fun figuring out an open world since Skyrim, and I was just playing it on an XB1X lol
Sooooo after about 450 hours and on my 3rd playthrough later I will say this is one of the very best single player games ever. Just so well done in every aspect and from a new indy developer. Glad you found this one, enjoy. Also so many fun secrets and Easter eggs all over the map, so fun. Oh yeah the music, the everything. All of it just great. Looking forward to more playthroughs.
The budget for this game was 30 million and rdr2 was around 400 million, it’s insane what the team was able to pull off with this game even exceeding in some areas than rockstar did with rdrd2 with 10 times the budget
@@BushSniffers yeah theres definitely a bit of bugs, I played on console so I got the raw experience without mods but even so what they did right was so well done it was easy to look past the flaws. Also I’m pretty sure the sequel is confirmed
KCD is one of my favorite RPGs ever. The pacing is incredible and you really feel like you have to work hard to become a better fighter/archer/prodictive member of society in general. This is what I dislike about Bethesda RPGs where you instantly become the "bossman CEO" of a faction after doing one small task for them
So glad to see a new KDC video pop up in my feed. This game is one of the all time greats and it flew so under the radar because of it's rocky launch and accessibility. But it truly is one of the best RPG experiences to date and I'm so glad to see it get some recognition in the main stream.
The learning curve on this game is pretty high, but once you get used to the systems this is one of the most engaging and fun RPGs ive played in recent years
Haha nice, I’m wanting to pick this up. When I see you’re comment it really seems like you can be anyone huh? How does it work being a thief? Do you get some serious consequences or not?
Well you can put in jail if they catch you with stolen goods. But your skills get better (also your lockpicking skills). It has its funny moments too, I couldn't stop laughing during a scene with a certain priest. The story was lovely too, but the open world is very welcoming so a lot of time I just walked around doing stupid stuff🤣.
@@Nickersons-Theme hahah I was the worst with Divinity: original sin. One villager noticed my stealing and I had to kill the entire village 😂.. so couldn't buy anything anymore there.
The intro is great because you don't know it's an intro. Once you hit Rattay you're free to do your own thing should you choose to. Up to that point you've been learning the basics of the game - combat, stealth etc. On your 2nd or 3rd playthru you'll learn to use your time in Skalitz wisely, padding your stats so you can hit the ground running. On my 4th playthru I came out of Skalitz with 16 strength and wielding a halberd. I killed every Cuman I ran into lol.
So I was playing the game and it was fun but I just died a lot and not having a manual save sucked. BUT then I discovered a sort of file modifier that lets you save without having to drink those potions! Game went from 4 to 9 with one single change...that, and the command to show bow crosshair...are pretty much necessary QoL changes.
my one complaint about the game is the one thing they could have gone without adding a drawback to, saving, you shouldn't have to become an alcoholic to save the game when it's meant to portray a brutally realistic depiction of that time frame and is brutally difficult at times just because of how brutal the combat can be (not saying brutally difficult combat can't be fun just that the way to help you learn it shouldn't have a drawback besides taking up memory on your system of choice, I mean even checkpoint/save point based games at least put one right before a big fight so if you fail you can try again without having to spend 2 hours getting there again)
This games fantastic. It takes awhile to get into but once you do your hooked. Unlike other games you’re not some badass sword wielding chick magnet, but some useless peasant son of a blacksmith that doesn’t even know how to hold a sword or even read. Once you spend a few hours training with Bernard you become unstoppable but more than that, you feel like you’ve actually accomplished something, like learning a new combo or how to read. Because you actually have to work for a long time to get there. There are some bugs still but very rarely and most the massive ones have been patched. And the big battles are awesome and you really get in there and fuelled with fury, and the map is gigantic with so many quest to do and places to explore, plus you may even get interested in the real history the games based on. KCD is awesome, an extremely fun and rewarding game you can put way over a hundred hours left and with a couple cool and gold DLCs. I always urge people who haven’t tried it to play it, it’s an awesome game if you give it time, get into it, and train and train with Bernard, I highly recommend it
Played it a long time ago but the game would glitch and deleted 4-5 hours of my progress twice, haven't touched it since. Hopefully they fixed it by now, would love to get back into it.
The only game that really sucked me in, I played on release and still play occasionally, I just finished a hardcore play through not long ago. For all KCD veterans, if you've not played the game in hardcore yet, do it, it's a breath of fresh air.

@@Trillatt hopefully 🙏🏼
@@nyahjzt-7430 100%. All we have to do is wait.:)
i kinda want them to make a fantasy game instead of the usual "historically accurate" game because imagine Skyrim with this type of gameplay immersion
I re-played it recently in hardcore mode and it was worth every second (I spent about 100h ending it). Love the game, one of the best all time.
Any tips for navigating in hardcore? I'm starting to get the hang of using the sun but sometimes I find it to be a chore.
@shawncc89 That was the worse part for me, my navigation skills sucks lol
I was always checking the map for reference points, like crosses, accidents, etc. and comparing my surroundings with the map.
But of course, I got lost a thousand times lol
Eventually, after all those hours, I kind already knew where I was most of the times.
@@SB-gy2vx I suppose getting familiar with the map just by playing a bunch would help lol. Playing in hardcore, I seen some crazy stuff in the woods lesbian suicide pact anyone?
@@shawncc89 yeah I guess that's it ahaha
I think there should be a fast travelling method somehow, like wagons you had to pay to get a ride to other places, at least from town to town.
yeah I met those ladies and then killed some woodcutters while on a bad trip lool
@@SB-gy2vx I fucking love this game lol
Would totally watch you do a "Let's Play" of this. It's got a steep learning curve and there's always danger when fighting multiple enemies, but damn is it satisfying once you've mastered it and start growing in power!
I’d love to watch you play more of this. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Your humour and edits work so well with this game
I love that several of those towns still exist and layout is similar. Amazing job on this game.
I've just been replaying the game this week myself. Had the same experience years before, but now I see the game is a masterpiece.
fun fact: the guy that created this game, Dan Vávra was also a guy that worked on the first two Mafia games.
This game….. Part of me found it to be a chore, while the rest of me appreciated it as one of the best RPGs ever
I can't believe this game is already 5 years old
It would be great to see a series of videos on KCD, it really is a fantastic and special game. :)
The game was really great, I felt as if I was in its world, hoping for a sequel.
Probably the best looking game in a whole decade. The landscape is so real and beautiful, its incredible.
Kingdom come And RDR2 really made feel like I was living in their worlds cant Think of any other games like them in that regard.
Star Citizen, DayZ, Russian Fishing 4...
My copy sits next to Aliens: Colonial Marines.
I really liked this, just a heads up though man, the easiest way to escape that town at the start can be as simple as just hopping off the portcullis entrance and booking it lol, this game is a favourite of mines i hope you enjoy!
I always grab a horse from inside the castle and ride it off so that way I don’t break my ankles and then I also have a horse.
@@porterscoville963 I never thought of this, this game always surprises me lol
@@porterscoville963 you can get a horse and ride it out of the drawbridge too, I did it a couple days ago
The most enjoyable game I played the last decade! The duel mechanics, the story, the open world. it just checks all the boxes🤩
Literally rebought this yesterday and now you've uploaded another vid on it. What a treat
Nothing worse than looking down and realising your just a ball floating in mid air.
Please make a part 2, this was awesome!
I love this game. quite tedious in the beginning grinding skills tho but its all part of the experience of becoming a better Henry.
During a heist to steal some expensive things,
Henry - Burps, farts, “I feel quite hungry”
I bought this game twice. Once on console and another on Steam. It's on my to do list still. But it was great on console for the two weeks I played it. Such a great world to explore, such as the thick forests etc. Amazing!
This game has some stunning vistas, sometimes you just need to stop playing and appreciate the sunset or whatever
3:19 you're not alone, im kind of disappointed when i realize im a floating half body
an absolute amazing game i love rushing the reconstruction of pribislavitz just to fuck around in the other cities
"Bold and brave Sir [Henry] rode forth from Camelot, He was not afraid to die, O Brave Sir [Henry]...."
Loved the combat in this game. Training with the captain felt like I was actually improving and not just cheesing the AI
i just started playing this game last week and its soo good easily one of my favorite games
historic and awesome game! can't wait for the KCD 2 and the Medieval Czech Movie with some Warhorse Studio surprises!
If you whistle while running past the Cumans that will distract them without having you turn into a pincushion
"Those enemies are not hard to defeat just because they have more health or damage like in so many other games"
THIS!
@@bm-ye1jj 100% Agree, they did so much right with this one (and the bits that wernt was eventually modded anyway!). I really hope they make a 2nd.
@@BushSniffers yeah theres definitely a bit of bugs, I played on console so I got the raw experience without mods but even so what they did right was so well done it was easy to look past the flaws. Also I’m pretty sure the sequel is confirmed
12:36 They are speaking hungarian :D Swearing perfectly :D What a surprise!
I just searched kingdom come deliverance and seen this was uploaded 10 minutes ago 😂
Im gonna pick this up soon
KCD is one of my favorite RPGs ever. The pacing is incredible and you really feel like you have to work hard to become a better fighter/archer/prodictive member of society in general. This is what I dislike about Bethesda RPGs where you instantly become the "bossman CEO" of a faction after doing one small task for them
I personally really enjoyed this game
I love it.
This game is so deep, I've played it 3 times and I never knew you could get your mates to help fight Kunesh.
So glad to see a new KDC video pop up in my feed. This game is one of the all time greats and it flew so under the radar because of it's rocky launch and accessibility. But it truly is one of the best RPG experiences to date and I'm so glad to see it get some recognition in the main stream.
I like for many reasons
Especially the night drinking with the priest and the morning after !
The learning curve on this game is pretty high, but once you get used to the systems this is one of the most engaging and fun RPGs ive played in recent years
I honestly wish UA-cam would recommend me more UA-camrs like you! I just found your channel and I am already loving it!
I played this a lot, really enjoyed it. I did turn into a filthy thief 🤣..
Kingdom come, oblivion, Skyrim, any game, I always end up becoming a thieving bstard 😅 take all you can and give nothing back!
@@Nickersons-Theme hahah I was the worst with Divinity: original sin. One villager noticed my stealing and I had to kill the entire village 😂.. so couldn't buy anything anymore there.
The amount of times this game made me wanna put my remote through the wall is toxic, still one of the greatest games i've played
You have to progress the storyline a little further than just through the intro, otherwise you're unable to do anything but the most simple combat.
NGL would love u to do a series on this maybe
13:42 I was laughing so hard when he turns around slowly and just sees 3 baddies after him 😂😂😂
Amazingnly realistic that medieval Bohemians have British accents.
So I was playing the game and it was fun but I just died a lot and not having a manual save sucked. BUT then I discovered a sort of file modifier that lets you save without having to drink those potions! Game went from 4 to 9 with one single change...that, and the command to show bow crosshair...are pretty much necessary QoL changes.
the intro just lets you play for a while, then reminds you that you have just started
my one complaint about the game is the one thing they could have gone without adding a drawback to, saving, you shouldn't have to become an alcoholic to save the game when it's meant to portray a brutally realistic depiction of that time frame and is brutally difficult at times just because of how brutal the combat can be (not saying brutally difficult combat can't be fun just that the way to help you learn it shouldn't have a drawback besides taking up memory on your system of choice, I mean even checkpoint/save point based games at least put one right before a big fight so if you fail you can try again without having to spend 2 hours getting there again)
Main character looks like the hunchback of notre dame
I always urge people who haven’t tried it to play it, it’s an awesome game if you give it time, get into it, and train and train with Bernard, I highly recommend it
one of the best games i have played.
coop would make it on a new level
then you could chat the miles away. hope they make a new game soon.
Played it a long time ago but the game would glitch and deleted 4-5 hours of my progress twice, haven't touched it since. Hopefully they fixed it by now, would love to get back into it.
3:17 i also do this for every game, and i like it when games show you are not a floaty arm ghost.
i love how awesome this looks.. Much better then most games in 2022 and this came out 2018? sheeeeeeeesh
At least play until the drunk monk quest. That was one of the funniest quests i've played in any game.
Hope you find time to do a complete playthrough. One of my favorite games, bugs and all.
Im playing again kingdom come deliverance and im loving, i didnt remember that this game is soooo good
"here are those nails you wanted"
"No, I wanted you to nail me"
In KCD while fist fighting just spam jabs it works almost every time
I'm at a point where I can't progress or go back, because the enemy archers keep shooting through my helmet
The only game that really sucked me in, I played on release and still play occasionally, I just finished a hardcore play through not long ago. For all KCD veterans, if you've not played the game in hardcore yet, do it, it's a breath of fresh air.
fav game in years, changed everything to me
I didn't dress in the armor on my play through to get out. I jumped down from the draw bridge and took off. They chased a second but turned back
I like how the woman woke up Henry to give him wine to help with sleeping.
