Find non electric options of things you use on a regular basis and try to get a manual version. The tip about the manual can openers is a good example. Some who come knocking for help might have a few cans on their shelves but not a way to open them so a can, bottle or package opener will be important. Be sure to get the most durable of anything you choose because the dollar store types might be cheap but they can break easily. Over the last 12 months, I have seen the syrup for the different sodas becoming less and less at the same convenience store. They carry both competitors's products. First, the orange flavor was out. Then, one by one, they were almost all out. The last time I went in, only 3 out of 20 flavors were available. They said they were having issues getting them back in stock. We were all told months ago that this was going to happen.

You overlooked the most important = AIR (Masks, Filters and SCBA). #24 and #27 super important! (Better living through chemicals) #37 Tools = Barter skills and trade. Fuels are very important as well: the cleaner burning the less of a profile you present. CNG, Propane, Butane, Methanes & Alcohol (do it yourself= renewable), White Gasoline lasts longer than regular and unleaded, Diesel, wood products = Prills, cordage, charcoal and coal
An alcohol still! Make your own ethanol after it runs out. Ethanol is very easy to make and has numerous uses. A still can also be used to purify water.
@@glyndablanton6542 I bought the Clorox crystals a while back thinking it made bleach. It doesn't make bleach, it makes some other chemical that kills germs but is not the same as bleach (sodium hypochlorite).

Boats have limited storage so eventually you have to come in to restock. And most boats come with extensive "To Do/Needs Repair" lists so they are not prepared for any length of time offshore. That plus if marauders are running in the streets, there will be pirates out on the ocean. It's probably much safer ashore, especially while fuel for powerboats is still available. Once fuel is scarce, you might make it out on a sailboat but where are you going?
I totally disagree with the stocking of items for vices. Rather put that money towards water purification and food. People will get over their vices real quick when there's no drinking water or food to eat. They'd be worth their weight in gold, but so will food and water when you're starving. And I can always use them if I needed them.
