That’s awesome man love hearing that and that you loved it too. So early in the year and I just don’t see a way this don’t make like top 3 for me for the year

Never mind my comment on the Frankfort on your other video. I just watched this and see that you like the 211 months better than the Frankfort. It's amazing that most bourbon people (except professionals like you) have never even ever heard of Jakob's Creek!
Yeah people are out chasing other stuff and the Hardins Creek Jacob’s well is one of the best bottles this year

Supposedly, Jacob’s Well II is a blend of the Jim Beam “regular” mashbill and the Old Granddad “high rye” mashbill, both aged to 17 years and proofed to 109.
Ahh that’s the two mashbills they were referring to then on the neck tag. It said regular and a high rye but didn’t go into any more details.
Saw this sitting on the shelf decided to pass on it. Came out to the car and saw you just posted this bottle review on YT. Yep. Went back inside to buy it after your video. Cheers from ohio

Found this yesterday after passing on it in November. When I saw it in November I thought it was batch one but they deleted the box (sort of like what Knob 18 did in 2023). I had gotten the first edition so didn’t buy it then. Glad I saw it again 😅

Been waiting for this review, and I knew you would love it! I found this on 12/31/23, very last purchase of the year but so worth it. Had it last night actually and it’s beautiful, I get major old cigar box/tobacco leaf, old oak, it’s like bourbon extract I kept saying to myself haha.
Haha yeah it’s perfect for my palate for sure absolutely love it. No way this doesn’t place top 3 for me in 2024

I think they are doing an 11yr corn whiskey which ehh I’m not a corn whiskey guy but for those that are it will probably be good. I want to see like a 20yr bourbon for 200 dollhairs
I loved batch 2. Definitely a buy if finding it at retail. I can’t wait to see if there’s a batch 3 and or similar release later this year.
I know they are doing a 10yr corn whiskey under the Hardins label in 2024 but not sure what else

How do you think this compares to the top whiskey's you've ever tried? Just tried it last night and it's extremely good - figure you probably have tried some rarer/better stuff than I have at points in time, so was curious. Very happy to have it.
I think it competes honestly. Best stuff I’ve tried is either HH17 or Michters 20 didn’t do them side by side I would say this isn’t as good as HH17 but it’s not far off it’s definitely top tier stuff

The Boston was quite good that was my second place from the trio. If you liked it though this Jacob’s well batch 2 beats it. I’m not much of a corn whiskey guy but I’m sure it will be good

Damn Bill, you are tempting me to spend the big bucks here. Wondering how much better it is than top-tier KC store picks. I know, I know...age is gonna be 7 years different. Or...KC15, which is very good, but short of greatness.
My favorite KCs are the 18 the 12cask strength and the 11yr pick I have. I really enjoy the 15 too but this beats them all best thing I’ve tried from Beam.

Have you had the pleasure of tasting the Lineage? More expensive than all of these but different enough to warrant a purchase if you're at the distillery IMO.

How would you rank HC 211 vs other three? Frankfurt , Claremont and Boston.
HC211 is the best Hardins creek hands down no competition

Is it a viscous oily type of mouthfeel like a WLW? or is it a little thinner like the ECBPC923?
It’s probably more like ECBP C923 it’s not barrel proof so it’s not like motor oil but it’s not thin thin
