I’d heard of the Sip and Puff method but I’d never seen it explained previously. That was really cool how Trevis actually played the racing game as we watched. (IMHO, $13,000 for a Scooter Attachment to a wheelchair is crazy!!) He seems like a very personable fella; hopefully we will see him again on another video. Can the QuadStick or other Sip & Puff apparatus be used for other daily functions?
I've seen lots of applications, even a sip and puff fishing rod! Not sure how many things are commercially available though.

The wraps are to prevent people from trying to shake his hands or touch his hands because he has crippling nerve pain when touched.

Travis: I'd like to know about your gloves? I like your style...initially, I thought they were for gaming but now I'm curious...fashion or function or ?
I have still been trying to figure out how to get a quadstick, I been in touch with the company but they are not saying how to get one like who do I go through to even get it to insurance? I see he paid for his but I know you can get it through insurance
Have you contracted your insurance company? Maybe you have to send in a quote to them and get it approved? That's what I have ro do with mine.

This is probably a dumb question due to my ignorance, but how is he able to breathe and speak? Genuinely curious. The internet keeps telling me that quadriplegics have difficulty breathing .. and I don't know enough to formulate better google search criteria. I dont have a disability myself, but your channel has been super informative. hopefully more and more people will check it out.
Quads do have significantly lower lung capacity and no abdominal muscles for breathing so yes they have a harder time breathing. It really only becomes an issue with coughing and getting sick when taking a big breath and having high interabdomenal pressure matters. Some quads can't breathe on their own though and need to be on a ventilator.
you can breath through your nose and still sip or puff. its very slight

To protect his hands from being touched because he has severe nerve pain.
