hello from the Pacific North West. I have one of these chairs, and have had it for about 4-1/2 years. it has really changed my ability to get outdoors. I live in the giant redwoods area of Northern California. about 300 miles north of San Francisco. I have had the Q500 from Quickie, the Permobile M400 and a Jazzy 600ES. the Frontier V6 has been far and away the best chair I have ever had. it gets me to places I could never have gone with any of the other chairs. I have the "city" wheels that I keep on it around town, but the nobbies like you have there are outstanding in the woods. I go on hiking trails in the redwoods forest with my sons, and wife. and I have better traction and stability than they do standing up, wearing hiking boots. I am glad you have the V6, it is a real improvement in the lives of guys like us that have to sit down to go anywhere. I am very lucky that the Veteran's Administration hospital has a contract with Magic mobility, since they provide my chairs for me. I find this to be a great balance between off road ability and in town maneuverability.
Thanks very much for your comment. Wow that part of the world is beautiful I would love to come and visit one-day. This is the only chair that I've been in so far and yes it is very capable. I find that the front and rear casters get me stuck in sand often. For my next chair would like to try the V4 as it has to less wheels.
My Caterwil 4wd wheelchair, which is made in Russia, is one of the best wheelchairs in the world. I ride it both on roads and off-road, through forests and parks. It helps me feel a bit more free. The only downside is that winter is coming soon, and it's not really suitable for riding in winter...
@@RAD360 i hope you can get there soon ice drifting would be really epic!!! The only other way is to make huge plastic covers that fit over your wheels to drift on hard flat cement, might be a cool challenge there!
Very entertaining! 😄👌 Classic.. but also super informative on a lot of different aspects of the chair. I quite enjoyed how you showed what it is actually capable of. 👍 Fantastic camera work too!
I’ve been in a power chair for about six years now and my favorite one is a Quickie QM 710 on my second one of those and I absolutely hate my Quantum. Pride hate it but I think I’m getting one of these all my chairs have been used about Medicaid is finally buying me a chair and I think I’m getting one of those and yes 6 mile an hour is too slow. I want eight or 10. As far as I can tell, but the only chairs that go faster than 6.2 miles an hour or rear wheel or rear wheel hybrid chairs because well they are a lot more stable at speed.
Thanks for your comment. The V6 is definitely a great chair and is very powerful however if I had my time over I would probably go for the magic mobility V4. As soon as you take the V6 in any sort of soft ground like deep gravel or sand and try to turn around the caster wheels dig in and you get bogged.
I’m seriously considering the Frontier V6 for my next rig. Overall are you happy with it? How does she handle indoors through doorways? I use an Amy System Alltrack R3 midwheel drive now and it measures about 27/28” wide from wheel to wheel. I do have any problems going through out doorways inside the house, however my chair wouldn’t be able to do what your Rig could do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Awesome video!
Overall I reckon it is an okay chair. It does handle moderate off-road stuff okay although the castor wheels do you let it down. When I first got the chair I was over the moon with it but once I started to move around with more speed I discovered the faster you go uphills and on uneven ground it picks up the front castor wheels quite easily which tends to make it veer left or right. If I had my Time over I wouldn't go for a mid wheel drive chair. I'm actually considering moving to a rear wheel drive V4 because they only have two castor wheels instead of four. I'm planning to do an update video on the V6 explaining more of my thoughts about it
Hey mate mine has a custom seating arrangement suited to me. Along with phone holder, cupholder, plastic tray for eating and a few other bits and pieces. www.magicmobility.com.au/ If you check out magic mobility's site they have all the upgrades possible for their chairs on there 👍😎
@@RAD360 if ya walls & missus can take it get the v8 next time, sucks in dollar shop but, swap for pump ups on that thing too, im on a glide centro xt now, same as a v6, smaller fronts & rears, Do not use pump ups on it, they go flat, i swapped for solids, thinkin of mm v4 next, back to 4 wheels for me, & tell chair dude to pump it up to 11 or 12kms, he can, he'll bitch but push him, or buy a chair tuner ha. turn the corner speed down but. ive had mm v6, v8, now this glide crap.
Yeah cool I'm actually getting an x8 next month can't wait. Yeah I reckon my next wheelchair I'll probably get a v4 or something similar rear wheel drive.
That design of power wheelchair is really only good for indoor use and outside on smooth surfaces. The small front wheels are an impediment at times and it lacks the power to push the bigger wheels over any type of obstacle. It's not just the one you have it's the same with all the ones of that design that I have seen.

That is some very interesting information there thanks for showing us what you are able to do in your chair
Love the handbrake slide at the end, i would watch wheelchairs drifting all day! Love the bright green too looks cool as👍💯
I've always loved drifting LOL. I'm planning on taking my wheelchair to iceskating ring soon hopefully I can do some awesome drift there LOL.

Gonna check out your channel some more! Much love from the states!
Have a look at the terrain hopper 👍
Yeah I've been looking at the terrain Hopper and the outrider coyote with love in my eyes LOL.

Absolutely… I have done the same thing. I received my X8 about a week ago. Looking forward to doing a video on it soon
I’m getting some Tim the Toolman Taylor vibes bro! Needs more grunting
😂
Ha! I’ve done plenty of accidental tunstil tests great work mate roll on ps I just got my second permobil x5 good comfy all round chair 😁
I reckon my next one will be a permobil or invacare rear wheel drive
Love my fronter V 6, I live in Alice Springs and can go most places, but it doesn’t like sand 😊
Yeah it's definitely a good chair. I've gotten mine bogged heaps of times in the sand most recently in Yeppoon on the beach with the tide coming in
😎
@@RAD360 not good hahaha 🤪
Yeah mate check it out in this video ua-cam.com/video/k7Faq4fZaQo/v-deo.html

where do you get that phone holder and cup holder?
Hey mate the cupholder came with the chair it slides and an attaches under the armrest. The phone holder is a quad lock. It works really well.
