Should be a coolant copper washer replaced on coolant drain/check bolt. Also should replace o-rings on the pump propeller shaft if worn or just do it anyway saves time and money
@@moto4life1 Thanks for the reply I do not see the o rings you are talking about on the parts diagram for my 2004 model.. Also do you recommend changing the kick start oil seal?
just check for any movement/play at the water pump shaft- end by propeller-up/down-side/side movement. as far as kickstart, if did leak before probably not!, though its old and after you seen one too many its easier judge, ya know. sogo ahead and replace it, then you won't worry about it later.. And thank you I like helping as much as possible and maybe I will start some instructional videos. always easier shown! Have a great day!
find that most of the time pulling only ensues "usually" pulling internals with, such as the water pump shaft that could easily damage the seals. just a trick i've used since doing this clutch
Derrick Romero we used a impact gun to remove that bolt otherwise have to remove cover from opposite side and use the nut to hold you clutch from moving
Moto4life do you mean take off the stater cover or something on the clutch side still? Bc I cannot get mine off and I’ve used a impact and nothing happens.
Good teaching man hed make a good bike mechanic
Thank you sir..... just wish he would enjoy it more!
So what other gaskets are required for this job besides the water pump and case gaskets?

how did you hold the clutch from turning when removing that last big bolt
Derrick Romero we used a impact gun to remove that bolt otherwise have to remove cover from opposite side and use the nut to hold you clutch from moving
