You can really tell a musical group is great when they sound good live. I'm not saying that's nonexistent right now, but it's hard to find a group with that genuine talent anymore.
Music is real voices in harmony with real musical instruments, not computers. I love LRB! I have a "Greatest Hits" CD that I still play regularly. They are fabulous! Another group in this timeframe that was so good with harmonies is Three Dog Night!
Fucking outstanding! I have not heard this song since I was a kid sittin in the back of moms car, and damn they sound verrrry close to the radio version/studio. Flawless, clean sound. Simply great
I grue up with this band an love the groups sound,my older brother told me too stick to the words that they sang in all there songs an you wont be sorry...
Wow...! Excelente canción y una extraordinaria banda una de mis favoritas que talento la de estos caballeros...Saludos cordiales a todos aquellos que saben apreciar la buena música desde San José Barquisimeto Venezuela...!
sounds like maybe the track is canned but the vocals are clearly live. This was one of best live bands around...whether it was Shorrock or Farnham singing...great musicians.
Wow! Tremenda canción y una gran letra una de mis favoritas de este extraordinario grupo grandes exponente de la buena música.Saludos dsde San José Barqusimeto Venezuela..!
False. I've listened to the studio version hundreds of times, and this is new and original. The lead singer clearly strays from his studio vocals. And yes, it is possible to fade out live, simply by having a sound manager fade the microphones out simultaneously. Sometimes it's good to know what you're talking about before speaking up.
It is the radio/studio version. Just because it says "live" doesn;t mean the music is - I'd say the show was live on air. Not too many live performance fade out......
I remember laying on my bed listening to this song on "American Top 40" . I was soooo mad when it slipped from #17 on the Billboard Hot 100. (I was 10, but really into Billboard magazine and LRB.)
Graeham Goble Feeling very privileged to be able to ask you personally. Was this originally recorded with Glen in the lead? Or was it a new one for John's era? Loved them both, but your harmonies with Beeb and Glen were out of this world, on a par with 'our' Gibb Bros.

Amazing, Glen Shorock, then John Farnham and back to Glen Shorock. They just don't establish bands like this anymore !!

Old John Farnham was a pretty good stand in for Glen Shorrock.

"Not too many live performance fade out......" Um, the audio mixer can operate a master fade switch on the soundboard...
