If you think that Chadwick Boseman is a "human being" then you are fucking delusional. He deserved what happened to him. The only part of Chadwick i liked were the malignant cells of his body.
Can you imagine if Kevin Feige had retired after Endgame? He would have gone down in history as the greatest producer of all time. Now we've watched him squander what it took a decade to build up.
Feige became the very thing he swore to destroy It’s ironic since the only good MCU movies post Endgame were either made by Sony or directed by James Gunn who is now part of DC, the competition. When/If Deadpool and Wolverine does well, it’ll definitely be a victory for Reynolds rather than Feige.
You guys are acting like MCU movies were Oscar-worthy flicks before it went to shit. They were fun, but even then they weren't amazing or anything. Now it's total garbage I'll give you that.
@@FrancT- they weren’t Oscar worthy pictures obviously but they definitely were amazing blockbuster superhero movies at times in the first three phases. They had Solid continuity, a consistent narrative, strong character development and character-driven writing, good performances/portrayals, etc. You’re correct that their films are mostly garbage post-endgame era except for of course the main exceptions such as No way home and guardians 3.
I miss the days when going to see the new Marvel movie was an event. It was basically mandatory. Now, every time I hear about a new Marvel movie, I just roll my eyes because i know I’m going to be disappointed.
@@odracircomix7359 Exactly. It wasn’t the greatest thing I’ve ever seen, but along with Spider-Man NWH, it was the best movie Marvel has released since End Game.
@@confessionsofamoviefreak9580 I know right. My mother took money from the RENT to make sure me and my sisters had a great time at the Avengers End Game premiere. That’s how important these movies used to be. These days, I won’t even spend money on Disney plus to watch. They’re just not worth it anymore.
What do you mean, basically? It was not mandatory before. I could enjoy Infinity War and Endgame when I had only previously watched the Captain America trilogy, the Avengers trilogy, the previous two Guardians of the Galaxy films, Doctor Strange, Black Panther and Ant-Man (the second film premiered in between Endgame and Infinity War). That is more than half of the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies made before Infinity War. I never watched The Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man: Homecoming or any of the Iron Man movies, Thor movies, but Infinity War just made me want to go back and watch them more.

Have said this on a few discord servers: "Theres late to the party and then theres late to the party ehere people are just starting to pack up once you arrive" Black Widow is the latter
the way the movie describes the adventure of Widow and Hawkeye makes me wonder why didn't they make the movie about that.... that sounds way more interesting than whatever we got
Intentionally break em? No. But they did intentionally put out this much content in this little time. And they did go about it the wrong way. Having said that, who gives a shit. Its dumb entertainment. Maybe we should look inwards if dumb entertainment means this much to us.

I’ll forever be mad that we didn’t get a Black Widow movie after Age of Ultron centering her trying to find Banner, being unsuccessful, but uncovering some crime adventure in the process. Then a Black Widow 2 after Infinity War dealing with the Blip and helping Banner figure out how to be Professor Hulk.
Nah. We had to took screen time from patriarchic figure Hulk and Black Widow romance so we can promo more overbuffed female characters fro phase 4-5...
That’s the problem, all they did was “replace” everyone. Black Captain America, Black Iron Man, female Black Iron Man, female Thor, female Hulk, female Hawkeye, blond Black Widow, female Black Panther, Black Spider-Man. Besides Sam Wilson, none of them earned their titles.
I was never a Marvel fan, but I used to like Star Wars. Disney destroyed both and almost everything else they've touched for the past decade. Disney deserves to go bankrupt; they earned it.
100% agree opening day of the last jedi was the day disney died for me. Ive only been disappointed this badly once before for the opening night of the last airbender movie
They paid a ton for Star Wars and could have printed 2 billion dollar movie every year til the end of time. But they totally screwed up. For Marvel, they at least built it up, before they destroyed it. They didn't just buy it.
Even with male writers added in to Whose Story Is This, the writers' room still looks awful with the way they talk and act. "There are certain things that are supposed to happen in a superhero story." "This is the story that Kevin wants."
Endgame should have been it. It was a massive success. 10 years culminated. After that they should have hit pause. Taken about a year off. Refresh themselves and came back strong.
@gerrardbonitto-lw5ee she hulk and secret wars just showed how so burnt out they are, especially since a cartoon did it better. With the way things are going now, I don't think the kang dynasty is gonna achieve the same success. Because they just don't have it anymore
Yeah, no one in my family or friends group even talks about Marvel movies anymore. Doctor Strange 2 was the nail in the coffin. Marvel used to be the Super Bowl of film. Even casual and noncomic book fans were invested.
its hard to remember how genuinely hyped me and my friends used to be for every marvel film. we would speculate about every little thing, and every little character that could possibly be in it, we would always be in there first week. now none of us give a single damn. i couldn't even tell what the most recent mcu film/show is
You gotta realize, Endgame was the last project Stan Lee himself had a hand in creating. It was literally his magnum opus. His final work. The true culmination of all his favorite creations, in one place. Anything beyond that is milking by someone else, like someone painting a counterfeit painting of a masterpiece from the 1500s using digital software.
From a story-telling perspective, time travel introduces a very obvious problem: anyone else with time travel can go back in time to change whatever changes you made. Speculation on this is what led to Niven's Law of Time Travel: any universe where time travel is possible will eventually resolve into a version where time travel is never invented.
Taking a quick look at Niven's law, it looks like it's a _theory_ that assumes that it is possible to change the past from the future, but in a way that still favors natural cause and effect. Meaning the result of changing the past changes the future, which changes the past, which changes the future, etc etc, back and forth until an end-stage result is achieved in which no change ever occurred. The problem with that is the assumption that the initial paradox of someone from the future changing the past of their own timeline would be possible, as opposed to a new timeline being spawned. I would pose a much different (and bigger) problem: Someone invents a method for traveling through time. They decide to stop some bad thing from happening. A new branch of time now exists where the bad thing didn't happen. Yay. Other people later in the timeline do similar things. The time traveler has to step in again. On it goes, all the way forward to the present day. The time traveler has to *keep meddling* if they want to preserve the result they've achieved, because sooner or later new bad actors will have the same bad ideas. The time traveler's best efforts cannot save the timeline for all of time. With that being the case, it would generally be better for the time traveler to try and deal with their problems in the present. Now we've killed time travel without actually killing it.
@@TheMyrmo Yep. One of the 12th Doctor's intros. I have a love-hate relationship with Doctor Who. I've seen most of it, and enjoyed most of it, but I don't like to reference it as the standard for _anything_ . Doctor Who had the whole thing about time being "wounded" by changes, then "healing" afterwards. All based around the idea that some events are minor and some are major. Conveniently, whether an event is minor or major is always based on human perception of those events. There's a better, more logical way to tee that up, where events are the sum of all the factors that contribute to them. In that case, a "minor" event would be easier to alter, prevent, or supplant with something else because there are less things that contribute to it. Would Doctor Who ever explain things that way? Of course not. The audience _must_ be too stupid for that, so instead time is wounded animal.
I’m glad you brought up that many people doubted Evans as Cap when he was first cast. I was definitely one of them, but it’s crazy how wrong we all were. That dude is as much Cap as RDJ is Iron Man.
Agreed, I was very skeptical. But he nailed it. If it ever gets rebooted or recast Evans will always be Captain America in my eyes. I just can't see anyone else playing that role. Same with Stark, RDJ will always be Ironman.
I feel the same way about Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart playing Wolverine and Professor Xavier in the X-Men films. They were the glue that held the X-Men together in the same way that Robert Downey Junior and Chris Evans were the glue that held the Avengers together. Both charismatic leading actors who knew how to carry a superhero film franchise for a decade. Logan and Tony Stark are both an aggressive, man's man anti-hero we either like to hate or hate to like, and Charles Xavier and Steve Rogers are the wiser, calmer, level-headed leader who guides them on a better path of morality to being a hero.
It was really sad when captain America and iron Man were gone from the MCU you after endgame. But now thinking about it that's a good thing because they would have been ruined in newer phases. But captain America and iron Man are the main reasons the MCU you was good in the first place.
Loki was honestly a very interesting concept. They just screwed it up by weakening Loki, and switching him out as the main character for a girl version of himself. It should have been a one done where Loki gets to the end and is killed by Kang, but is able to get a message out to Thor just before he dies, letting everyone know that kang is coming
Loki S1 really needed to happen, but they supremely dropped the ball on the execution. Loki doesn't have to kick the bucket there yet. Time travel + the Multiverse still had to be addressed, especially the consequences of it. Also perfect time to have a New Thanos for the MCU to eventually unite against, complete with something new, since we are already finished with the Infinity Stones. Less weakening of Loki, less bait and switch, less woke. Leave enough stuff as clues where Kang is manipulating from afar, but only subtly, because he is using the Loki Variant as his 'key' to escape his prison. And once the Sacred Timeline was freed, that's when shit hits the fan. Have it all be a giant chess where Kang is breaking free vs He Who Remains' entire gambit to keep the variants caged forever. End goal of Phase 6 with the ending of Secret Wars is having a good variant, the Iron Lad one that'll eventually get introduced at maybe around Phase 5-ish, volunteering to begin his eternal watch after Dr Strange-Loki-Wanda go through the hell that is Phase 4-5-6 just to put him in that spot...basically becoming He Who Remains 2.0 and fixing +restarting the cycle anew. All the while the different Kang-variants are igniting the multiverse as they go full Conqeuror mode, something which Dr Strange would see and be horrified in during Dr Strange 2 MoM. This merges all the Multiverse into one single Universe again, so no more time travel after this. Then Phase 7 can be the Xmen debut.
This concept could have been applied for Ant-Man 3. I am not sure but I read somewhere that the original script was to get Scott and Hope killed by Kang and then Cassie would call the avengers to let everyone that kang is coming. I am not sure if it's true or not. But it does sound like a better idea than kang losing in fist fight with Scott.
Loki season 2 is much better though. The female writer was dropped for a man, Loki is powerful once again, less Sylvie, more male characters......and one of the best endings in years.
I said right before Avengers Endgame that after that film, the MCU will fall apart and will just turn into another cash cow. Everyone said I was crazy. Look where we are now. Aside from stuff like No Way Home and Guardians 3, everything else has been a shitstorm.
facts brotha, i was saying the same stuff. except mine was more like: idk if the mcu is going to write good after endgame or not, but what i do know is that i am not watching anything coming out after, bc this is where i want my story to end. boy was i glad i did

@@InFiNiTeO7 The wild thing to me is that Elizabeth Olsen and Benedict Cumberbatch are two phenomenal actors. They were however severely disrespected by terrible writing in Doctor Strange 2. Wanda Maximoff and Doctor Strange, along with Thor, should have come back stronger and changed as characters, being that they are the most powerful surviving Avengers. Captain Marvel was poorly written from the get, so I won't even get to her stuff. The funny thing is everyone who has watched Ms. Marvel seems to prefer her 100x over the actual Captain Marvel, but doesn't particularly like either. Eternals should have never happened, it was quite useless. Like Doctor Strange 2, Shang-Chi, Thor 3, and Wakanda Forever had so much potential that was just flushed down the drain by shit writing. We've seen most of these same actors succeed before and in Endgame, so it's clearly not their fault. It's all diversity hiring and bad writing.
That was an amazing way to summarize all that has happened with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the problem is NOT introducing powerful new female characters, the problem is poorly writing the female characters and try to make them look better by destroying the male characters. Disney is failing at everything, literally everything, I never thought I'd write this, but I really hope they crash and burn, maybe that way something good can be born in its place.
One of the reasons everyone loved Black Widow was that she's a smart, likeable character, without the need to dumb down the men. In fact, she's one of only two non-powered Avengers, but held her own beside the rest. S**t, she faced down the Hulk on her own. Sure, she was obviously scared, but that's what courage is, isn't it? It takes more guts to do what Batman does than Superman, if you really think about it. Even against Thanos, she ran into battle alongside Thor, Black Panther and Captain America. Captain Marvel, armed only with her arrogance and ALL the power got her ass handed to her. I laughed! When they killed off Natasha, I literally cried. THAT'S the character that Marvel needed moving forward. Not the semi-trans, men in women's bodies that are Captain Marvel, She-Hulk and their ilk.
She's one-dimensional eye candy, what the fuck are you talking about? She's almost always wearing skintight outfits that accentuate her boobs and ass, she had a total of 7 MCU appearances before they gave her her own solo story, in every single one of them she was always playing sidekick to male characters until they finally gave her some interesting development in Endgame only to kill her off later in the same movie. She was a token inclusion from the start so nobody could accuse the franchise of being sexist, but the moment they actually have an even mix of male and female characters y'all start accusing it of being sexist towards men? Honestly there's a lot of shit you can criticise the MCU for (bad writing, bad effects, butchering the stories they're trying to adapt) but if you're biggest issue with the franchise is that there's too many women then maybe it's time to admit you don't actually care about quality, you just hate anyone who isn't you.
I totally agree with you. MCU was a phenomenon in the previous decade till Endgame(though Endgame showed signs of whats about to come). After that, feige did a solid job of demolishing 10 years of work with a single TNT which is phase 4....atop him is an even bigger evil called disney and Bob Ogre.....
If Kevin Feige would have retired after endgame , he would have been considered as one of the greatest producers ever. It was Rightly said in The Dark knight = you either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villian. Feige has just made marvel a mess.
The biggest mistake they made was lacking any real finality. You can get away with making a never-ending series in comics, not cinema. It literally cannot work.. Every story has to come to an end eventually. That's why Phase 4 felt so meaningless & directionless. Because it was. They're going solely off of greed at this point.
These aren't mistakes, they are moral failures. The words of Bonhoeffer still hold, "Stupidity is a more dangerous enemy of the good than evil". They might just be movies, but they highlight something much more troubling.
I just don't understand why Kevin and Kathleen still have jobs... Especially with the failures under Kathleen. Most producers get gone after 1 or 2 flops ,not still having fun after 5 years of failures.
@@HypocritesExposd I don't disagree. Kevin had over a decade of records and success with his team. He also seemed to have respect for the source material. Kathleen (and Iger) turned heel seconds after Lucas signed it over.
There's a couple of major differences between them. KK isn't the most successful film producer of all time, and KK hasn't produced 30 Billion in profits. Feige should be on the Hot Seat but KK should've already been s#!tcanned.
That's why endgame is end of everything, the end of stan lee comic books era, right now we're facing an elite leftist and weirdo who hates creating a good entertainment 😢
@@anubusxI definitely didn't like Endgame and I only watched No Way Home to see Andrew & Tobey outside of that I never would've bothered with NWH because I never liked MCU Spider-Boy.
Yeah but why and how did the studio get handed over to them and why haven’t they been fired by now for ruining the franchise? The people making the things we love have betrayed us.
At first, I took fat Thor as a nod to traditional Norse mythology since the actual god is pretty big in the original stories. He also had aesthetics seen in those times (long beard and hairstyle). I didn’t really get riled up about that as a result and didn’t really see anything to be mad about since he was going to better himself afterwards. Today, I still think it’s a bit of a stretch to complain about since he recognized that he couldn’t keep living like that and went with the Guardians to return to being someone he feels is worthy. ... It’s only after I saw that they completely made a joke of him in later movies that I really got mad. Bettering oneself doesn’t mean having a complete downgrade to prop up “Mary Sue Unit 275”. The road to being able to wield Mjolnir once again would have been tough, but Jane definitely wasn’t worthy in the slightest. Especially with the smug bitch personality “strong female characters” always have these days. Those characters make me flat out ashamed to be a woman and they discourage me from sharing my strengths because I don’t want to be seen as similar to those characters in any way. Seriously, it’s like the anthem for these Mary Sues is: “Anything you can do, I can do better! I can do anything better than you!”
It's funny you brought up that song, because I always interpreted it as two rivals pushing each other to ever greater heights of excellence, now it's just about dragging down the great to make the mediocre feel good about doing nothing.
Tbf lady Thor was prolly the least ‘Mary sue’ gender swap. She genuinely seemed way worse than Thor at basically everything. Movie was awful, but not because she was op and physically/mentally overshadowing him. Valkery from ragnarock was a lot more like that, making fun of Thor, outsmarting him, and physically incapacitating him. The problem isn’t ‘Mary sues’, the problem is bad characters and bad writing Also idk where your getting ‘strong bitch’ from, that’s captain marvels thing. Jane was just kinda obnoxious and cringe, I don’t remember her ever being overly cold or mean
That poor guy suffered from debilitating headaches. Not that he’s wrong about this. There comes a time in every fan’s life where they have to re-evaluate their attachment to a particular franchise. And that’s not as bleak as it sounds. We can still appreciate the originals of what we loved.
“For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.” J. R. R. Tolkien
The reality is that they peaked with Endgame. But they got too high off its success. Secret wars should have been a hit on target. But it was a major miss
Agreed, and I think it was also rushed. It took 10 years to build from Ironman 1 to Endgame. It should have taken another 10 years to build to Secret Invasion (or another Endgame scale event) but it took 3 years.
@@rosamy2017 they should of setup the trilogy of galactus after end game like have a ending to where galactus shows up at the credits and is obviously more powerful than thanos hes destroyer of worlds but they kinda just let it end. would of also made endgame 3 movies instead of just 2 to milk the high as no one was not going to watch the movies with thanos it was just too good
Whoa... hey now.. you are making too much sense buddy... we gonna ask you to kindly leave. Unless you are trying to push a political agenda, be diverse, or bully men.. get your ideas outta here.
In a way, adapting Infinity Gauntlet doomed the future of Marvel movies because it doesn't really get more epic than that. At the same time, it gave them so much success it was worth it because the comic book fad was never going to last forever. What we're seeing now is the gambler that struck it rich, but refused to walk away. The final investors in the ponzi scheme are stuck with the bill.
at the ending credits of endgame they should of setup the trilogy of galactus as galactus is more powerful than thanos that would of created a possible few more movies with ultimate peak high.
We should also thank the original Superman the movie, which showed us serious superhero movies were possible. In fact, it was Superman director Richard Donners wife (Lauren Shuler Donner) who produced the first Xmen movies where Kevin Feige started out before creating the MCU!
I agree so much with this video. As a woman who was 15 years old when the first Iron Man movie came out and loved every second of it, I'm so sad that this is the current state of the MCU. I'll never forgive them for what they did to Black Widow, her solo movie should have come out in 2014 at the latest, and she deserved a good story, not the turd we got. I have more things I'm unhappy about the MCU, but that's the one I needed to get out of my chest the most, and I know this is what the silent majority wanted for BW.
yes exactly!!! when i heard that the black widow was coming out after i saw end game already im like shes dead already what does it matter i had no attachment to the hero anymore since she already sacrificed herself in endgame and knew what would happen to her so i never watched it.
What exactly happened is Kevin Feige's luck ran out and he stopped getting talented people to work for him. He had no one else's hardwork to take credit for and his real incompetentance was exposed. Moreover, every new hire he made was either talentless or woke activist.
they didn't just drop the ball, they shot a 3-pointer in the wrong basket. disney had us all saying "what are you guys doing? you're messing up badly!"
Well Said. Endgame was the End and there is a nice little Epilogue Phase that consists only of Spider Man: Far from Home, No Way Home, Guardians Christmas Special, Guardians Vol.3 and hopefully Deadpool 3 (IF It's good, but I have faith in Ryan Reynolds of having creative Control similar to James Gunn did with Guardians)
I think endgame set up time travel decently, having the rule that you can't change the past because that would create a paradox made sense, and they had it so to change stuff you had to be really careful as to not mess things up, but within the same movie they had past Thanos, Nebula and Gomorrah come to the present with no consequences. If they had had to send Thanos and his army back to his timeline while also wiping his memory, I think that would have resolved the problem, at least in a better way. As is with the time police and full on multiverse, it's just a mess.
Ike Permutter really should be given the credit for the success of the Infinty Saga. Once he let Feige get total control "the message" became front and center and story took a back seat.
He didn't let Feige get total control. Bob Iger moved Marvel into Walt Disney Studios, making Fiege answer to the head of that studio rather than Ike Perlmutter.
I actually think it's the other way around, Feige succeeded early on because 1. Ike was incompetent (and racist) and 2. because Marvel Studios was more unknown, he had less corporate oversight. Once Ike was removed Marvel was a huge hit, and Disney began to pay more attention to it, and then turned it into another princess brand.
@@Caleb6000 You're right. The MCU was on a roll until Disney began to interfere with it. And after seeing that all female clip fron Endgame again, I can see they always planned on having Shuri replace T'Challa . That was their goal, no matter the BS excuses they gave us later on.
Tbh DC has probably fumbled the bag the most with this opportunity, outside of Superman’s animated series that’s pretty good- this has been the first time since 2008 that marvel doesn’t have full grasp of the comic book fans with their live action films. Anime/Manga has been taking over since they maintained their core values and culture, dedicated to good story telling without virtual signaling
I didn't think they could really disrespect endgame that hard. Then again, they also disrespected Fury by letting a cat take his eye (retroactively insulting Winter Soldier movie) so I can't say its a one off.
What stings the most is that, if pulled off correctly, the Multiverse Saga had potential to surpass the Infinity Saga. With Dr Strange, Loki, and Wanda as the New Big 3. But fcking WOKE WOKE WOKE WOKE WOKE WOKE WOKE WOKE happened, good fucking gods. Still hurts my heart.
@@markgraham5971 It's assuming pre Phase 4 and before the shows were disastrous. Not whatever the fuck Wanda is right now and current emancipated Loki. Multiverse thing still has to be there thanks to Endgame + something overarching to actually make Avengers form. While also, the ending of it would be Merging the entire Multiverse to 1 singular Universe again, which then lets room for the Xmen to come in.
they also missed showing a introduction to galactus at the end of end game which could of been another epic trilogy as galactus is more powerful than thanos that could of been 3 movies in itself but had smaller movies that are interconnected somehow to lead up into galactus for another high like end game but your right they could of done so much more with the multiverse
1) There needed to be more interconnectivity throughout Phase 2: Hulk and Steve co-starring in Iron Man 3 (preferrably facing the actual Mandarin or a powered stand-in rather than corporate dude #3; Tony at least face-timing Steve in Winter Soldier, then sending a handful Iron Legion drones, also Hawkeye's role not landing on the cutting room floor; a proper set-up for Ultron running through Iron Man 3 (as a peace-keeping AI supporting Jarvis that's corrupted towards the end) then being in cahoots with Hydra in Winter Soldier, finally smart enough to send a back-up of himself to space to possibly feature in either GotG 2 or 3, 2) a Black Widow trilogy: the first one co-starring Clint and dealing with Budapest, the second delivering a superior version of the movie we got, the threequel taking place inbetween IW and EG with Nat and Steve putting together The New Avengers (Rocket, Nebula, Captain Marvel, Okoye, War Machine) and carrying out missions we actually get to witness + at least one Hawkeye outing (spotlighting his upbringing in the circus, possibly going up against someone like The Hood) and the heavily rumored War Machine/Iron Patriot solo, 3) mining the five year gap with releases for Agents of Shield (reintroducing Coulson and making the show MCU canon), Inhumans, Warlock, Nova, Daredevil, New Asgard/The Professor (Thor/Hulk double feature), Ronin, the aforementioned BW3, and something along the lines of Thanos - Servant of Death (shedding some light on his past, the festering lunacy in his mind, the disciples he gathered around himself and cosmic entities trying to take him to task for The Snap), 4) the MCU steering clear of time travel and rather having Tony, Thor, Wong, Mordo and Scott stick their heads together in Endgame to gain entry into the Soulstone and thereby Soulworld: some of the dusted would be so blissful that they'd refuse to return, others are so corrupted that they oppose and outright fight their friends, maybe throw a sliver of Thanos' soul in there as well so the Avengers aren't forced to fight his past version = two-dimensional cookie-cutter villain. 5) Take a 2-3 year break after Endgame, then recast and fill another ten years with either street level heroes going up against Kingpin and saving NYC, or X-Men vs. Avengers with The FF intervening or or or

@@taylorkoleber1885 Thank you kindly. I had a lot of time on my hands and post-Endgame frustration to work through. I'm sure there are plenty of Hollywood writers with far superior outlines who are keeping mum as they're too scared to lose their standing.
really well said i have to add at the end credits of end game have galactus make an intro who is far more powerful than thanos and that could of been a badass introduction of a continuation of the peak high we got at end game but take a break from making the epic trilogy of galactus with smaller movies that lead up to it until we can get another high like we did with end game but this time galactus the destroyer of worlds.
@@questtofreedom I love that. Galactus could be propped up by making multiple appearances throughout cosmic-based sequels for Captain Marvel, Nova, Warlock, a new GotG roster etc. In some of them, they would merely discuss him/hint at him, in others he showcases his level of destruction by feasting on a planet and forcing the titular hero/es to evacuate as many people as possible before he satisfies his hunger. Also, Reed Richards could explore the cosmos through one of his countless inventions only to (mentally/spiritually) cross paths with Galactus ironically and tragically making him privy to our existence - not unlike what transpired in the recent FF comic "Life Story". Then go the route you suggested: have him reach Earth but not instantly act on his hunger; he just merges with the background and is seen as part of the scenery in half a dozen street level/lower stakes movies set in between his arrival and the first attempt to both grasp what he is and how to prevent him from carrying out his cosmic duty. Maybe Tony, T'Challa, Reed, Hank et. al. whip up a device to engage him in an otherworldly therapy session, maybe they "3D print" uninhabited planets for him to consume; either way, killing him would disturb the universe's equilibrium as he's essentially a necessary force of nature.
As a woman I am astounded by the fact that OTHER WOMEN cannot write women at all, especially when spaces like r/menwritingwomen exists. They can't be smart, strong, intelligent, and competent on their own. They have to have special powers that make them better and they always have to be the smartest in the room and simultaneously babysit everyone else because they're so stupid that they're barely functional. I haven't seen a single Marvel movie except No Way Home since Endgame, I never got a Disney+ account, and I never plan to. I don't want to reward shoddy writing that just proves to actual sexists that women are incapable of writing good characters and stories.
I am SO nostalgic for 2014-2019. I saw Thor 1 and Avengers 2012 in theaters but I really wasn’t into it until later. But that whole thing was so fucking good. I remember being on a cruise ship and watching Winter Soldier for the first time at night, in the middle of the fucking ocean on a giant projector pool side. I remember being excited with this stuff and seeing every movie with my friends. Great times.
The problem with marvel and it's movies is that they're forgetting marvel is based on fantasy. The characters looking built, cut with phenomenal bodies with all different kinds of powers and abilities, it's fantasy. That's why we liked them. Now they're trying to hard to make everything as if it's something you can run to in real life.

I did like WandaVision. The potential connections (X-Men Quicksilver; Magneto as her father) were awesome. I don't recall Wanda in comics becoming a villain
Endgame's time travel seemed fine because they (the heroes) explicitly made sure they didn't change what had happened. Long term, it would be bad, but for that movie, I think it's fine.
It's not just the writers that destroyed the MCU, even though they played a big part in it's destruction. The actors really did the MCU no favors attacking fans and attacking regular people for how they think and how they feel. Knowing what we know now about these actors, Disney could bring back the old writers, bring back the original cast, bring back the good CGI artists, bring Chadwick Boseman back from the dead, retcon all of the stupid decisions they made. They can do all of this, and I guarantee you that Marvel wouldn't see the same success. And the reason why is because a lot of the original beloved actors shat all over half of America by letting the mask slip, and letting their politics air out for everyone to see. People like Chris Evans, Samuel Jackson, Mark Ruffalo and Don Cheadle really couldn't stop piling on the attacks on people while acting as the beloved characters made by Stan Lee. And you're right. Because I've moved on from from caring about Marvel. I have no strong feelings regarding the failure of Marvel. I'm done.
That was a really thorough recap! If you don’t mind my saying, the background music is a little bit distracting. Maybe that’s just me though. It’s such a shame how marvel has deteriorated but do you think it was inevitable? Could marvel have continued on just making movies without inserting updates for modern audiences and without streaming shows and been successful? There is a natural winding down process of any series but they certainly could’ve avoided the descent into terrible writing. Or maybe the pressure to send “the message“ was too much to be resisted. Thank you for the video! 🙏😄🎯🍿🖖
Yeah I still think about the silence in the theater when infinity war was ending its hard too describe that feeling . But man was it a compelling movie . And then the eruption of chatter after the credits roll as everyone starts talking about what happened and what would happen . Ahhhh peak.
I would never forgive marvel for the route they took. They were literally way too established to take a backseat to this whole woke agenda man. They disappointed so much, everything when it comes to entertainment is to make a “point” nothing is made genuine anymore. It sucks. Thanks for spreading word like this. You got my sub 🔥
Excellent analysis but I see parallels with Spiderman 2 and Thor Ragnarok in that everyone I talked to after seeing Spiderman 2 was bothered by the fact that DocOc didn't stop all of Spiderman's punches yet stayed in the fight (the web slinger's blows will down a Rhino) but mostly that Peter suffers an emotional breakdown and loses his powers (huh? Seriously, huh?). In Thor Ragnarok Everyone was bothered by how easily Dr. Strange dealt with him, how easily Hel dealt with him, how a silly little electric shocker could down the God of Thunder and how the electric shocker survived the ultimate clash with the hulk. In both cases they made the hero weak to give them a challenge. In my opinion they both did better then they should have based on expectations from how good the previous movies were. (and that Thor Ragnarok was "Must See" leading to Avengers: Infinity War) Sorry, I know you love Spiderman 2 but, losing your powers because you have girl trouble is right up there with Padme' losing the will to live.
I'm in the slim minority here but I thought Endgame was insufferably long and the time travel was stupid. The rot of the MCU was already present before Endgame.
100 % . I almost walked out as soon as time travel was mentioned. I have ALL of the comics where any mention of the infinity stones are, and they seriously butchered the end of the story. Tony Stark was just a guy in a suit, in no iteration could he even hold one stone.
I was 8 when the first Iron Man came out, I loved it! the visuals were awesome and it really made me want to pursue a career in IT/programming which I now do. I was completely devastated when Tony died and I still can't watch the movie without crying. however, seeing all of the things go downhill at the studio I once loved so much is maybe even more painful...
Thank you for making this video it explains everything I dislike about the MCU, and ur absolutely right some fans may never comeback, They’ve definitely lost me :(
The fight scenes in Winter Soldier were some of the best across the entire MCU. The scene where Steve runs through the building including going straight through the doors and walls was dope as fuck.
A week ago, CanWeGetSomeToast (the second account of MyTimeToShineHello) leaked the synopses of The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars. The summary for TKD was short: the Avengers go up against Kang and lose. Considering the fact that Kang has been taken down by Rule 63 Loki and a stampede of ants, the line-up must suck. Now that I look at Captain Falcon, Shang-Chi and She-Hulk, it all makes sense. But the meat of the leak was SW. Apparently, the TVA rebel against Kang and rally a team of multiversal Avengers, led by Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. At best, it's a really easy theory disguised as a leak, but it's just like old times. Marvel has realised their cinematic juggernaut has stumbled and fell. They got complacent after Endgame and thought they could make any old character a household name. I can actually see the leak of Secret Wars being real. They're falling back on nostalgic fanservice and banking on Maguire meeting up with Jackman to get bums in seats.
I liked Iron man 3 after i went back and gave it a chance. Same with Thor 2. I think they were more cerebral and less action. Still good in their own right.
It was the End Game for me, for sure. By the end of it, they killed off Iron Man and Captain America and turned Thor into a clown. These 3 (with the F.F. and X-Men) were always the bedrock heroes at Marvel (their comics are still being made and sold) and by the End, they, and the Black Widow were gone, along with my interest in movies with female replacement heroes and star treatment of characters from the C list. This was followed by the bad decision to kill off the T'challa character (and ALL of his merchandising) because the ACTOR playing him passed away (RIP Mr. Bosemen). Lots of "Legacy" characters "killed off" for cheap thrills and shock value.
Marvel did absolutly end at endgame with No way home being a nice epilogue. I hev not watched anything else except Multiverse of Badness, my brother wanted to see it, and that just confirmed that it did indeed end with endgame. That being said I have really enjoyed countless hours of youtube creators tearing the new stuff to shreds. Those videos are great because they save me the trouble of watching the movies and I don't even really have to pay close attention, I can just have this kind of stuff on in the background while cooking or playing with the dog. Plus on occasion I can make comments like this one making me feel smart and heling the creator rank because of "engagement". I think we have entered the post Hollywood period in history and frankly I welcome it with open arms.
Loki was the absolute dogshit that ended the MCU for me. I really don't understand how people can say that show was great. The TVA makes no freaking sense and reduces everything they did that far to a joke.
I think the real issue with the kinds of messages being put into these movies nowadays is that they are focused on the non-issues that society is so obsessed with, rather than actually important issues. Take the Winter Soldier film as a good example of the kinds of political themes they used to tackle: The government is likely corrupt and the people we could once put our trust in are now our enemies. Cap doesn't just fight against Hyrda, he fights against SHIELD, because SHIELD was invaded by Hydra. This created a very interesting story of espionage and focused on the real world issue of corruption. Now let's take a look at the kinds of messages they peddle now, I'll use She Hulk as an example: Women have no flaws, are always perfect exactly how they are, and men are bad and need to improve themselves. I was taken aback by just how hypocritical the show was, for constantly dragging on the male characters while the female characters did the same things, and sometimes even worse things, and were praised for it. She Hulk had no character arc in her show, she learns nothing, and does not improve as a person at all. Combine this with her arrogance, self-consciousness, selfishness, and general lack of heroic qualities, and you have a protagonist that is incredibly difficult to like. TLDR: There's nothing wrong with putting politics in superhero stories, they've been doing it since the very beginning. It's just that the politcal landscape of today's world is idotic, so when these modern politics are put into stories it brings them down.
It's depressing, because there really is so much they could still do even without the Avengers people like but instead they're focusing on the Z-Listers and insulting those characters that are still on the table. After what they did in Multiverse of Madness I don't even want them touching Fantastic Four and X-Men, they need to stay away from them.
I liked falcon and winter soldier tbh. It was a great depiction of what happens if the wrong person gets the shield and helps falcon feel like he earns the shield.
I hold out no hope for saving the MCU as recent phases have broken it beyond repair, going so far as to desecrate the legacy of beloved characters. You'd need a major 360 degree turnaround and it must start from within by purging the studio of every single writer, producer and director that preferred pushing agendas and pandering tokens spouting pandering, cringeworthy dialogue to match over maintaining continuity and enriching the universe. Until it happens, the MCU will continue facing the law of diminishing returns.
"Just because someone stumbles, loses their way, does not mean they are lost forever. Sometimes all we need is a little help." - Professor Xavier, Days of Future Past My point is, just because Disney and the MCU have lost their way, does not mean they are lost forever. The plan Kevin Feige had for the Multiverse saga before may no longer be applicable now, Johnathan Majors allegations notwithstanding, but he can always come up with a new plan that respects what we, the fans, truly want out of any comic book superhero adaptation - to always have meaningful and clearly-defined stakes, even with a far-fetched concept like multiverse variants that make it difficult for us to care about that. More importantly, these stories be smarter, and feel more streamlined and less rushed in their execution.
@@adampkalbSad part is Disney continues to stumble and then tumble their way to the cliff. Most are just calling it. They assassinated their own franchise. Pure and simple and they don't care. Not really. So no, it's beyond repair. Trust beyond repair.
@@adampkalb If you'd been paying attention to the past decade, noting their recent repertoire across the board, your comment wouldn't apply. Yes, Disney COULD be saved but who's willing to clean house within? The odds of redemption are low, against our favor. No chance.

I’ve never heard of that! Thank you for the information!
I would pose a much different (and bigger) problem:
Someone invents a method for traveling through time.

Yeah, he was a good fit, but he's also a lefty poofter.
Then Phase 7 can be the Xmen debut.
they literally just ended up using him and his popularity to introduce tva and kang
now now, Loki is one of the few bright spots in the latest MCU phase. Both seasons have been amazing.

The wild thing to me is that Elizabeth Olsen and Benedict Cumberbatch are two phenomenal actors.
That's why Phase 4 felt so meaningless & directionless. Because it was. They're going solely off of greed at this point.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
yes because every mistake now can be fixed just by simply timetravelling or going to the multiverse and thats it
unless it's mission impossible
I’m gonna say it: The devastating downfall Marvel has taken since Endgame almost proves that Thanos was right
These aren't mistakes, they are moral failures. The words of Bonhoeffer still hold, "Stupidity is a more dangerous enemy of the good than evil". They might just be movies, but they highlight something much more troubling.
"Stupidity isn't a virus but it sure is spreading like one"

The Infinity Saga is the greatest run of movies ever and we will never see its like again
I just don't understand why Kevin and Kathleen still have jobs... Especially with the failures under Kathleen. Most producers get gone after 1 or 2 flops ,not still having fun after 5 years of failures.
They know where the bodies are buried
I can give Kevin a few more passes, but Kathleen’s firing is LONG overdue.

@@anubusxthey’re still peak MCU movies whether you like them or not
Yeah but why and how did the studio get handed over to them and why haven’t they been fired by now for ruining the franchise?
The anthem for Mary Sues is "Rules for thee, but not me" on the meta scale. Everyone who passed Lit would know this.
You can show your skills and not be an unlikeable horrible woman though.
The problem isn’t ‘Mary sues’, the problem is bad characters and bad writing
Also idk where your getting ‘strong bitch’ from, that’s captain marvels thing. Jane was just kinda obnoxious and cringe, I don’t remember her ever being overly cold or mean
I probably wouldn't have been mad about Thor putting on weight if they had treated his PTSD like actual PTSD and not as a joke.
This has to go deeper than feige. Blaming him alone is just asking for all of this to happen again
Exactly. He was a symptom, not the cause.

@@rosamy2017 they should of setup the trilogy of galactus after end game like have a ending to where galactus shows up at the credits and is obviously more powerful than thanos hes destroyer of worlds but they kinda just let it end. would of also made endgame 3 movies instead of just 2 to milk the high as no one was not going to watch the movies with thanos it was just too good
How can Marvel Studios spend $350 millions on a movie but can't get a good story line??? Just hire some fans and they will make a 10/10 movie

As a wise man once said, "The best parts about the MCU, is there is no good, or evil, depends on what side you're standing on".
😂😂🤣🤣🤣...😢
Hahahaha
In a way, adapting Infinity Gauntlet doomed the future of Marvel movies because it doesn't really get more epic than that. At the same time, it gave them so much success it was worth it because the comic book fad was never going to last forever. What we're seeing now is the gambler that struck it rich, but refused to walk away. The final investors in the ponzi scheme are stuck with the bill.
at the ending credits of endgame they should of setup the trilogy of galactus as galactus is more powerful than thanos that would of created a possible few more movies with ultimate peak high.
What gets me is the smugness as they destroy everything. "Ha we ruined the things you love!" It's nauseating.
We should also thank the original Superman the movie, which showed us serious superhero movies were possible. In fact, it was Superman director Richard Donners wife (Lauren Shuler Donner) who produced the first Xmen movies where Kevin Feige started out before creating the MCU!
Did she also have leather fetish? Jk :)
They waited way too long for her movie! It was the worst that they didn’t do one earlier
yes exactly!!! when i heard that the black widow was coming out after i saw end game already im like shes dead already what does it matter i had no attachment to the hero anymore since she already sacrificed herself in endgame and knew what would happen to her so i never watched it.
What exactly happened is Kevin Feige's luck ran out and he stopped getting talented people to work for him. He had no one else's hardwork to take credit for and his real incompetentance was exposed. Moreover, every new hire he made was either talentless or woke activist.
Agreed. Being a producer really doesn't mean anything
they didn't just drop the ball, they shot a 3-pointer in the wrong basket. disney had us all saying "what are you guys doing? you're messing up badly!"
Meh. Shuri wasnt a bad choice to beBlack Panther, she just wasn't the best choice. Not to mention the way they went about it.
@@SpFlash1523the shift we've seen lately started a decade ago. After Endgame entered pre production Perlmutter took a major back seat.
He's the guy that didn't let Black Widow movie happen until she was dead, right?
You know how Kang squats on his desk in the show Loki? Yeah, that's basically how the Marvel writing room works now.
Sure, it's not as if almost all the popular mangas has been fumbling the bag lately.

Then again, they also disrespected Fury by letting a cat take his eye (retroactively insulting Winter Soldier movie) so I can't say its a one off.

they also missed showing a introduction to galactus at the end of end game which could of been another epic trilogy as galactus is more powerful than thanos that could of been 3 movies in itself but had smaller movies that are interconnected somehow to lead up into galactus for another high like end game but your right they could of done so much more with the multiverse
as kamala harriss said in that interview you gotta be more woke than less woke but still be woke!
1) There needed to be more interconnectivity throughout Phase 2: Hulk and Steve co-starring in Iron Man 3 (preferrably facing the actual Mandarin or a powered stand-in rather than corporate dude #3; Tony at least face-timing Steve in Winter Soldier, then sending a handful Iron Legion drones, also Hawkeye's role not landing on the cutting room floor; a proper set-up for Ultron running through Iron Man 3 (as a peace-keeping AI supporting Jarvis that's corrupted towards the end) then being in cahoots with Hydra in Winter Soldier, finally smart enough to send a back-up of himself to space to possibly feature in either GotG 2 or 3,
2) a Black Widow trilogy: the first one co-starring Clint and dealing with Budapest, the second delivering a superior version of the movie we got, the threequel taking place inbetween IW and EG with Nat and Steve putting together The New Avengers (Rocket, Nebula, Captain Marvel, Okoye, War Machine) and carrying out missions we actually get to witness + at least one Hawkeye outing (spotlighting his upbringing in the circus, possibly going up against someone like The Hood) and the heavily rumored War Machine/Iron Patriot solo,
3) mining the five year gap with releases for Agents of Shield (reintroducing Coulson and making the show MCU canon), Inhumans, Warlock, Nova, Daredevil, New Asgard/The Professor (Thor/Hulk double feature), Ronin, the aforementioned BW3, and something along the lines of Thanos - Servant of Death (shedding some light on his past, the festering lunacy in his mind, the disciples he gathered around himself and cosmic entities trying to take him to task for The Snap),
4) the MCU steering clear of time travel and rather having Tony, Thor, Wong, Mordo and Scott stick their heads together in Endgame to gain entry into the Soulstone and thereby Soulworld: some of the dusted would be so blissful that they'd refuse to return, others are so corrupted that they oppose and outright fight their friends, maybe throw a sliver of Thanos' soul in there as well so the Avengers aren't forced to fight his past version = two-dimensional cookie-cutter villain.
5) Take a 2-3 year break after Endgame, then recast and fill another ten years with either street level heroes going up against Kingpin and saving NYC, or X-Men vs. Avengers with The FF intervening or or or

really well said i have to add at the end credits of end game have galactus make an intro who is far more powerful than thanos and that could of been a badass introduction of a continuation of the peak high we got at end game but take a break from making the epic trilogy of galactus with smaller movies that lead up to it until we can get another high like we did with end game but this time galactus the destroyer of worlds.

I'm done.

I think the whole MCU should be rebooted like the DCU but fire all the activists so the movies can be good
That was a really thorough recap!

Doesn't it just annoy you when people ignore that movie when in that movie both Banner & Hulk actually had a character/personality.
It's just dumb comic book super heros , I'm surprised people take them so seriously.

The fight scenes in Winter Soldier were some of the best across the entire MCU. The scene where Steve runs through the building including going straight through the doors and walls was dope as fuck.
I lost all interest in Marvel when they introduced time travel/multiverses.
We almost got him doing the Falcon Punch on Kang. 😭

That simple jack part.. 🤣🤣😂😂
PLS IF YOU CANT, STOP MAKING TV SERIES MARVEL!
Wholeheartedly agree 👍🏾
I really love the fact you pointed out the agendas... well im glad their errors are reflecting on their pockets
Sometimes all we need is a little help." - Professor Xavier, Days of Future Past
My point is, just because Disney and the MCU have lost their way, does not mean they are lost forever.

This is the path Disney has chosen and have renvisioned their bottom line as such. A choice reflected in mass produced live action remakes, woke propaganda, disrespectful treatment of its (especially male) characters and indifference to its core consumers. Yes, Disney COULD be saved but who's willing to clean house within? The odds of redemption are low, against our favor. No chance.
Great presentation and rationale as always, keep it up Bonebridger ❤️
Thank you!!!
Civil war was the last marvel movie i watched, tom holland's peter parker was more character destruction than i could afford...
True. Peter Parker was only in high school for like 6 comics. That high school kid borrowing Stark tech shit is so infuriating.
Wish I were as smart, didn't like that movie and I definitely didn't like them turning Spider-Man into Spider-Boy.
@@indiajohnson no way home was objective proof he’s more than just “spider-boy”
Nah, Marvel peaked mostly with endgame and Tom holland’s Peter Parker/Spider-Man wasn’t ruined at all if you look deeply into his arc from civil war to no way home.
@@hazman5528 Sorry, but "arcs" from the movies doesn't count, he must be true to the comics, all else is bullshit, like the morales movies trying to insert him as the "real" spider!
You're sleeping on Edward Norton hulk
Yeah, at least he was a convincing Bruce Banner/Hulk, with Lou Ferrigno helping to voice big green.
