If you are on a salt system you need to be below 75 ppm for the systme to work properly in my marked it is mandatory. but yes it depedns on your baseline

Great question.... a salt water hot tub should be changed once a year. If you live in a cold climate I suggest you change the water in the fall sometime between Halloween and Thanksgiving. I have a new video coming out on Wednesday with a step by step on how to change a salt water hot tub. If you are not salt water you should change your water every 3 - 4 months. Which model Hot Spring tub is in this video, the Vanguard? I just ordered a Vanguard, but realized there are no foot jets. I have plantar fasciitis, and would prefer some foot jets. Should I look for another model? Thx Great videos, BTW!!
I have a Hot Springs Envoy, page 3 of my Hot Springs manual states not to use any cleaners with alcohol and specifically states not to use Windex to clean the acrylic shell.
I would follow the manual if that eases your mind. I have had very good luck with Windex over the years. If you are looking for the perfect cleaner that Hot Spring Spas approves I would use Off The Wall by Spa Guard. You can buy it here:amzn.to/3iQXRpF. Envoy is my second favorite hot tub in the whole world. You will love the seat with the wrist jets. It is an awesome hot tub. For salt system do not even think twice about doing the Freshwater salt system. It is worth it in everyway. The tub was designed to work with the factory system. It is a great system and you will love it. I have tons of videos on here to help you along the way!! Totally happy for you you made a great decision.

We tried the other brand 4 times in a row to clean the pipes. Never worked very good. Used the Silky pipe cleaner. It did the trick. So much more gunk came out. That sticky stuff only comes off your finger with Dawn. I will never use Leisure Time again.
Do you have the silver ion cartridge in it? That would be on of the causes for that to happen. I see you commented a couple of days ago. Were you able to solve the problem?
@@TheHotTubLady I took out the silver ion cartridge first. After i filled the tub up I get this whirlpool effect in the filter area and the water goes down low in the filter area when I turn on all the jets even though I had water all the way up to the pillows but I don't have any error messages.
@@wnddyer the water will go down. Are the jets were ok is there any purging sounds? I’m concerned something is plugging the circ pump. Did it hear up ok? If it heated and Jets are working you are good !
Hello I have a commercial hot tub,I have to clean and drain every week, after ever guest,iam getting a hard chalky water line mark,I cannot move it,I need something to loosen it up,but don't want to mark the hot tub please could you help thanks

the dealer says to not use a water softener .but your system looks pretty good.is there a danger of getting the water too soft?

Yes you can. Don’t over do it as it can make the hot tub water smell like vinegar and who wants that. I does work well.

It is a Grandee. There are two foot 🦶 Jets on the sides of the Vanguard. So you are good. 😀

I'm filling my water through the gray pipe and it's just overflowing through the filter compartment. Is not filling from the bottom up.

Magic eraser work out incredibly well and make sure you are using stain and scale control on a weekly basis.
