I love the loose test sheet where you can easily photo copy to try out a lot of different layout options as you said and use the original for pen tests!! So many options!
Yay! That’s a great idea to use it with stickers! I hope you will make updates on how it will look like in the future! Imagine 5 years of stickers in one planner! I guess this way you won’t be sorry for them to go on the shelf after just one year! You will enjoy them during 5 years! I’m redoing my ideal planner- the Cousin Hobonichi in Midori Standard size. Hope to use it for 2019. It will be one notebook for yearly and monthly and the second for the weekly and the thrird for the daily pages. And another notebook for notes. Yay!
I considered getting the 5 year Techo in A5, but ultimately got a the pink Weeks Mega...and I love it! I think that I'm going to be a Weeks user for life.
I was not sure to buy the a5. I don’t have the a6 either because I created a 5 year set up with my contacts pages of Filofax personal but watching all your hobonichi videos I am considering having the 5 year a5 for work. To see the evolution of my responsibilities meetings and to do’s. Watching your videos for hobonichi is so addictive. The problem is that they are very expensive + the shipping to México. And I just buy them in amazon or e bay when they are on sale. Right now I am using an A6 tetcho for 2016 and just covered the dates and re purpose. That A6 I carry with me everywhere it is my inbox and brain dump notebook. Love all your ideas for this one. I am just waiting until I see it on sale.
By the end of February 2020 I feel like throwing my five year Hobonichi into the fire. It is not ideal for planning for me unless your plans spans specifically into five yearly development cycles otherwise why carry around the previous four years. It is not ideal for memory keeping or journalling since there is just enough space for such things, at least for me. Plus, I found myself repeating myself in my actual journal, adding the burden of recording and planning instead of taking the burden off an already tedious daily planning. I have search through the internet to see how others have used theirs, and have decided that maybe, maybe, this is not for me. I only in my first year of the 2020-2024 techo, which will cover the first half of my 5th decade in this life. So I have 4 years more to go. January and February 2020 is a huge mess. I might have to consider menopause journalling on this one. Thank you so much for this video. It is giving me ideas.
I bought the 5yr in A6 and I’m planning to use to only for writing. I think stikers won’t wet to bulky but I have seen other videos from people that bought the 5yr last year and started to stick photos and ephemera and it started to get soooo bulky on the top to a point that it started to break the spine of the book. So that’s why I’m planning to use it only for writing. I’m looking forward to see your progress on this. :)
Where did you find the A5 version? I bought the A6 version as that’s all I found. Now I wished I had gotten the A5 as the A6 is so small and seems like I will need to be rather concise in my writing and recounting of that particular day
Perhaps since you are using stickers you can make the lines go across to the other side evenly, and when you get to the last year, the quotes will be covered with stickers anyway so perhaps it wouldn't bother you badly? (White out underneath the stickers might even work?).
Nice vid. I have the cousin which is my planner. I am now going to get the 5 year. Are you familiar with the covers that Roterfaden makes? I love them. I have my planners in them along with notes and everything in my life!
So i went On the website link you provided for the A6 5 year planner and i cant seem to find that beautiful Embroidered cover for the A6.... do you have a link for that? I really need that in my life!! Lol love your videos! 😂👏👍😉
Ok, I'm just going to put this out there mostly because I don't understand. The Hobonichi zipper covers and now the really cool Ollie and Day Camp covers - how do people like me who end up having a techo, that by July, is as thick as a Dagwood sandwich, expected to zip up or button up a Hobonichi cover? Maybe the fabric of the Ollie cover is a little more forgiving because of the fabric, but I'm sure the zipper would struggle after a while. My 5 yr techo that I bought last year is already showing signs of getting thick even though I only use it to write in and an occasional strip of Kitta tape. After the 5th year, there's no way any Hobo cover is going to take it. I really wish Hobonichi would make zipper covers and button covers with more forgiving spines for expanding techo's. You'll have to let us know if the Day Camp cover eventually allows for an expanding techo. I really want that cover, the green is so beautiful.
Haha good question! The A6 5-year techo cover is great for that because it doesn't have a closure mechanism at all - not sure about how the Day Camp will handle a fat Hobo though.
I’m going to get this for a pregnancy and early childhood journaling
Awesome! I'm giving an A6 to my friend for the same purpose. It seems like it would be ideal for that.

Thank you for the video. It has helped me decide which Hobonichi I am going to get.

It's on the Hobonichi website next to the A6 one. This is the first year they've had it. It is definitely a lot roomier!
I would use it as a journal entry

It's a great idea to cover up the quotes with stickers! Thanks. I just have to make sure they're big enough or layered so there aren't any gaps 😅

@@VeganOrganizer perfect!!! Thank you so much! 😁😃🤗
Would you recommend this for daily journaling?
I wonder whether an A6 from LyraandCo would fit the A6 5-Year Techo? Do you have one to try?
Hmm, good question! It might fit. Sadly I don't have an A6 Lyraandco so I can't test it.
Will you please show a flip through of your a6 5 year hobanichi
It's not very interesting to look at because it's just writing, but I will be doing one in my next video!
Does da really last 5years?

Have you tried with fountain pen?
Yes, I only use fountain pens. The paper is perfect for fountain pens!
