Omg!!! James is an incredible inspiration,he inspired me too,I was very hesitant at first;because the anxiety of the commitment. But honestly I’ve be enjoying the ride so far. I’m jotting whatever comes to mind or what I am doing on that particular day. The whole reason I started mine,was because I wanted to see my journey in me aging over time. Basically documenting my last 20s,I am going to live out. I’ve stickered most of the places I’m not using. But I’m same of mont wanting to bulk up my 5 year. But I decorate still,I use the blank year pages;as a tarot reading for that year. But yeah,I look forward to it,and it actually helps me think; and cherish the mundane and simple little things in life
Thanks so much for sharing that! I also find the journal a wonderful way to see the magic in everyday normalness, the beauty in the ordinary. At the moment I'm trying not to bulk it up too much, but I think that might change as the years go on! 😂 I just love stickers.

@@milosflaca Hi! It's the Hobonichi one! I ordered it at the same time in my order from Hobonichi. I think they call it the 'card case'. It's meant for business cards, but it's just perfect for stickers, ephemera, collectables and washi tape sample cards. It fits perfectly into the A6 Journal.
I just stumbled on your channel looking for hobonichi 5 year content. This isn’t my first year keeping a 5 year journal, but it is my first go with the hobonichi one. I’m loving it so far. I just moved to a new state a few months ago and have documented most of what it’s like in this journal. So far, I’ve found making it a nightly part of my bedtime ritual helps. Just fill it in before I take my meds and go to bed for the evening. Very relaxing. I also chose the A6 bc it’s my perfect size notebook for nearly everything and so far it’s working beautifully as a journal. I haven’t decided what to do with the right side pages yet except occasionally record what I’m reading or a big event that was memorable. Any ideas?
That's so lovely to hear. I think journalling is a very therapeutic habit to form, I'm really enjoying it too. I tend to write into my phone at the end of every day, then put those entries into my journal once or twice a week when I have time to sit at my desk and play with inks. I'm using the right pages for doodles, drawings, paint swatches and the odd photo on thin adhesive paper!
Maybe record the weather or news of the day or something you saw and use your gps on your phone to record your gps location coordinates for where you went that day or skill learned or even what you learned this day.

I wanted English dates and can't think of putting stickers for dates. The Japanese language would be tough to follow. I couldn't find an English one anywhere. Is there any other brand for the 5 year journal?
I love the Japanese characters, but I understand it might not suit everyone. Midori have a 5 year journal, it's beautiful but I don't like the layout as much, it doesn't have the blank page on the right. Maybe you could use one of those date stamps? That would love vintage and cute.
Yes, I’ve been in this size all year now, and I’m happy I went with the small A6 size. It feels manageable for me. I’m keeping up with the journalling so far! What’s helped is to just journal into my phone at the end of everyday, then around twice a week I sit down and put those entries in. That way I get to play in my journal with inks and drawings when I’m not rushed and tired. Do you have one?
@@StudioSam I'm researching to get a multi year journal! I didn't have something like this last year when I was planning my wedding, and I wish I did. My husband and I are buying our first house, and I'd like a place to record everything together. I'm a bit long winded with my journal entries usually, so I might get the A5
@@ccross04 . I know right! So much has changed for me in the last 5 years and wish I documented it all. If you have bigger handwriting or want to write longer entries, the A5 would probably be better. You could also make up a demo template of each size and see how they feel for you.

Which translator app did you use? Mine is pretty basic compared to yours and i could sure use it!
