- Great to have RYAN LEAF come on the show to talk about why he believes in Brock Purdy... and why he believes in the Packers... what Justin Herbert told him about Harbaugh and much more on NFL, media and life in recovery and inspiration.

Guy you need to have Ryan on as a regular during the season. Straight forward type of guy. All of us have had pitfalls in life. Salute to Ryan. Really enjoy listening to him talk football.
Agree. Maybe a regular guest. Who hasn't made mistakes. We all need second chances.
gross
Dude Ryan leaf is the man! The man has been through the highest highs and some low lows but has never let that stop him. Love when he fills in on the radio shows I listen to, he always makes my days better.
he sux azz
Keep doing well, Ryan. You are an excellent analyst. Everyone on the planet makes mistakes. Your lessons can help others now. 😊
Was never really a fan of Ryan Leaf, but wow has that changed after seeing this interview. Class act, and very humble guy. Definitely want to see and hear more from him and you Guy!
Ryan Leaf is a true Coug legend!!! I’m a Coug alumni and always have mad respect for Ryan!!
Love this! Great stuff from Leaf and Guy!
No shade to Middlekauf. But definitely Guy has a better knack as an interviewer.
You rock, Ryan!
For anyone who hasn't seen it, I highly recommend the 30 for 30 they did about the '97 Heisman race. Uses all archival footage. Really fun watch!
bad watch
Great guest guy. I always love hearing Ryan speak! Glad to see his true character and Hardwork coming out to paint a better future for him!
bad guest
Congrats, Ryan, for turning your life around so completely and for the work you do helping others.
That interview was some of your best work, Guy.. Never really knew much about Ryan other than his failed football career, substance abuse and jail time scanned from headlines.. In terms of football knowledge and all the layers of the game from tactics to psychology he is an elite analyst..
Add his own personal story, the work he has put in on himself, the game and his craft, he is deserving of the opportunity to present the game at it's highest level..
Any of the major content distributors in the game would be wise to give him the opportunity, especially Amazon who is attempting to become a player with a lackluster play by play/analyst duo..
some of his worst work
Love Ryan talking about his draft process on Rich Eisens show. Big respect to him and wish him well
no respect
Ryan you’re one of my effin heroes. Thank you for being such a stellar human and Guy you should have him on again and again and again. Ryan so stoked and inspired by your story. 🙏🏼👏🤘
"It is what it is" is such a great mantra. Acceptance is the key to contentment. Ryan Leaf may call it serenity.
I lived in San Diego when Ryan Leaf was the qb in 2000 & they went winless. Loved the drama weekly watching Leaf & the Chargers
Another good one. Honestly, so excellent.
another bad one
Great interview, high bar set now!
55:06 I use this as well. Only difference is I say, “It is what it is until it isn’t anymore.”
Packers talk at around 53:30
The "no processed food" part of Ryan's advice is fairly attainable, even on a budget. I started purging seed oils from my diet as best I could a few years ago which by proxy eliminates a ton of processed foods and I never looked back.
Hey Ryan...life after football has been great to you. I loved hearing you on the Rich Eisen show. Kudos to you!!
I'll never forget as a kid the debate between Manning vs Leaf as No 1 overall pick.
I know Ryan meant well, but the only chef I'd be able to afford right now is Chef Boyardee...
lol file that one away
I was a kid watching Ryan at Wazzu. some of the first games of my life. GO COUGS!
I love the idea of the chef! Wish it was affordable to get that in the Bay Area.
There is a video of Coach Shanahan throwing a football on a roof top across the street in to a bbq pizza oven like a whole in one!
Great analysis, Ryan 🤙🏻
GO RYAN ! 💪🔥🔥🔥
Ryan makes such a great point about Deebo and BA…. Deebo was injured in the superbowl and Kyle still refused to move off his guy. That is Kyle’s weakness, he can’t pivot in critical moments.
Leaf is a solid dude. Makes you wonder what could of been if he had his head on straight when he was younger.
GO GUY ! 💪🔥🔥🔥
yes go away
That is the link for the coachs throw
You should find it and show it on your show
Here for the Herbert talk 🤘🏻 love the show Guy. Are you and John planning an epic reunion episode/video or what? I know you aren’t doing a show together anymore but, I figured you’d have each other on, on occasion.. Have a feeling it’d get some views lol
Yes, Great job Guy you can never go wrong bringing a Coug Legend onto your program.
Minus hiring a chef, I think we should all look at how much we spend eating out. The alternative to hiring a chef might be to get a meal prep service. We can all benefit from cooking our own food… myself included! 🙋🏻♀️
Great content, really like the Pac influences
Damn, is Ryan a vegan now because he has gotten unrecognizably thin. I love the arc of his story and what a truth teller he has become. And thank you to Guy for giving Ryan the space to talk.
47:29 … I guess I will be the one…Bosa was held on that Tyreek Hill deep catch late in the game! Also, Ryan Leaf is a great guest.
lol yea yea
🤣🤣🤣🤣 In the last six SBs, only seven O-line holding calls have been called on both teams. They rarely call it in the SB. And Bosa looked like an old woman in SB58 OT as he ran after Mahomes, waving his arms in the air on the 4th and 1.
Ryan Leaf…we’ll done mate
To inhance the offense
23 minutes into the video and talking about "new girl" ... thought I'd get some Niners here without searching for it.
GO PACKERS!!
👀👀
HIT THE LIKE BUTTON 👍
Wait, mcGyver?!?
GO NINERS ! 💪🔥🔥🔥

Interesting guest. Also Interesting how when Aldon Smith does a interview he's seen as a waste, thug, etc. But Ryan LEAF who had been to prison for burglary, drug related crimes is welcomed with open arms, and he and others like should be. But black players who have issues whose seen through different social lenses.😐
YAPPING
Kyle gets 10 times more criticism than Dan Quinn for that superbowl where the fuck have you been Ryan that was a Ludacris statement😂
Kyle is a masterchoker! Thats why! 😂😂😂
