@@JohnSmith-xu7ev I also used grease, chassis and bearing automotive kinda grease. It started squealing again after maybe a year or so. Not a very long-term lubricant for this application. The factory bushings are sintered bronze, which has oil sucked into the pores that continually wicks out during heating cycles. It eventually runs out and dries up. I'm not so sure this 3 in 1 all temp silicone is going to be long-term either.

And I prefer my appliances not to be made by companies that also make TVs, tablets, cell phones, Etc. The worst, in my opinion, is Samsung! 🤪

The most common thing is the gas coils, at least on older models like mine (which are the most reliable). They're electromagnetic coils that actuate the gas valve. They're dirt cheap from my experience. You can test them with by unhooking the wires and using a multimeter to ohm them out. UA-cam knows all about it.

Have this Kenmore dryer. Made the mistake of throwing some shoes in there, then it started making a squealing, rumbling, grinding noise. Changed out the tensioner and wheels. Noticed the bearing shaft had some grooves in it like some sand got caught in there and rubbed deep grooves into it. But I haven’t changed out the belt. Doing that tomorrow before I tackled the shaft. Grinds when clothes are wet and heavy. Goes away when they start drying.
Also, my air only feature doesn’t work. All others do. It went out after I replaced the wheels and was testing it by holding the door switch and hitting start. Worked the first few times then it stopped. What’s up with that? Anyone know?
