If you’re getting a bit bored of the relentless stream of new electric cars coming on to the market, Audi Sport reckons it has the antidote. Meet the RS Q8, a super-SUV that is as quick as a Porsche 911 and as heavy as a Rolls-Royce Phantom.
Everything about the RS Q8 is supersized, from its enormous 23-inch alloy wheels to its 591bhp 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 powerplant. With the exception of the R8 supercar, it’s also the most expensive model in Audi’s vast product portfolio.
In order to ensure the RS Q8 handles and goes like a true Audi Sport model, the manufacturer has raided its technical armoury and lavished the large SUV with every piece of engineering wizardry available to it. Adaptive sports air suspension, quattro all-wheel drive, electromechanical active roll stabilisation, RS carbon-ceramic brakes, all-wheel steering and a quattro sport differential are just some of the highlights packaged inside this technical tour de force.
The RS Q8 can trace its engine and platform to the monstrously fast Lamborghini Urus, and as Nicola Hume finds out, there's plenty of Lambo DNA to be found in the much cheaper Audi.

Absolutely loving your videos. I actually prefer this to the Urus. Save yourself a ton of money but still get the same performance in a top notch SUV. Great spec as well. Would have this colour or the silver

Have just about everything in my neighborhood, the Bentayga, DBX, Urus and RSQ8 and to me the RSQ8 is the best looking to me, especially in purple. The Urus in here is lime green and kind of cool and obnoxious but I would either go RSQ8 or Bentayga. Unless you are a car person no one knows what the DBX is or cares. LOL
Are you sure pal.. more like the the other way round Audi’s are everywhere majority of people wouldn’t care compared to an Aston Martin.

From my knowledge the chasy and engines that were made FIRST for the Q7 , RS Q7, Q8, Rs Q8, were made first for AUDI's and because VW group wanted to sell Lamborghini SUV's and Bentleys they used the same parts ... which were first created for AUDI.

It's not a car for me, I have to admit that. Given the luxury and status of this car I very much doubt if I would be allowed inside it let alone drive it as my passport would probably not have a posh enough address on it. I mean have you tried to shop in Waitrose lately? Joking aside it's a great car and yes I would love one but driving on my 60 mile round trip commute with traffic that is slower than a slow thing on a slow day while feeling tired it would be cruel for this car. Common sense says no, step away from the car, heart says where do I sign and when can I have it.
What are you getting for that price, apart from a very nervous Bank Manager who thinks you are absolutely stone deaf in the market car wise, as he cannot afford one and he makes treble what I make per month. You get another SUV as if there is not enough of them on our roads as it is, bring back estate cars and coupes I say.
OR Lamborghini is just an Audi.

Being capacitive has nothing to do with the click. All these touch screens are capacitive, that's how they register your finger. The click comes out the speakers when you touch an area on the screen that does something like...erm..normal speakers work and other makers do this too.. so not really that amazing.

No! The Lambo is actually an Audi. Audi owns Lambo and has given it tons of technology, etc. Lambo did not design their overall SUV. Audi did. I don't whay automotive journalists cannot get that correct. And it is not "cheap." It is quite expensive.
