Technically it's a impressive car (so big but handles so good), but why would anyone buy this over the new RS6? RS6 looks better, is cheaper, faster, lighter and more practical and even the rear luggage room is bigger.
Hello Thomas, from Southern Oregon, I have a question, I heard you mention your favorite engine was the 3.0 tfsi, do you really prefer it over the 4.0 Tdi? Even if money isn't a factor, and if so why? Here in the U.S we only have the 3 liter tfsi, but I'm holding out on a q7 in case they announce bringing a sq7 variant here sometime in the foreseeable future. Thanks, Joshua
You’re my favorite car reviewer. I love your thoroughness, detailed analysis and very thoughtful insights. Wonderful shots, lighting, angles, and mix of interior, exterior, still and driving shots. Keep up the great work! Oh, and, I’m one of those that does encourage you to drive faster, lol! Tell those “driving instructors” to keep their comments to people who need them (bad driving skills) 😂
love it but....... my sq7 has 2 more seats, bigger boot, is cheaper and my rhodesian ridgeback fits as well....... sooooo, you're throwing away the practicality an SUV was ,meant for?
Very nice car! Lovely design, great lights, INCREDIBLE exhaust sound, interior cabin desing is exquisitely finished... All in all very nice for the ones that can afford paying that much. Great job Thomas and crew!
OMG. We bought the 2020 RSQ8 on a whim not quite a year ago. This review is exactly correct in every respect, and mentioned more than once by this (very good) reviewer, it really is civilized enough for every day use. Nonetheless, we call it "the beast." -sam carpenter
Ah so Thomas was certainly having fun today. And that acceleration was all uphill! What a beast. Stunning scenery. Very enjoyable and entertaining video. Thanks.
Thomas, great review as always, what a great car!! I was just wondering if in the future you can mount a mic on the rear bumper (or wherever it's more appropriate) for us to hear the exhaust sound from the outside during your drive scenes.
@@johnnytampocao7671 in my country it starts from 122k euros. its a hell of an expensive machine. but then its an audi, so you expect to see exagerrated prices. an audi is more expensive with the same engine as a VW, as they justified them selves as more luxurious. one cant even afford it after 5 losing half of its value.

Greetings to Holger. Phew - exciting S-bends and scenery. At 30:50 still searching the complicated menu - if Thomas can't find the consumption meter, no one can! That end to the driving part - pure autogefuhl. Great video and editing as always, and thank you for showing us this car.
The interior is amazing, this is how screens should be done, built into the panels, not just stuck in it. Plus there are still physical knobs and buttons, which is great.
Thomas ma boy! Good review 👍👍 VipTevB and The ClimaxX family supports it. First Car I owned at 23 was an Audi and I still have one. Brilliant engineering and technology.
Wow!! Beautiful SUV the interior is amazing, I can drive and stay inside the whole day playing those new tech in the info systems. Great presentation Thomas, as always it's a pleasure watching your video. This is the true SPORTS UTILITY VEHICLE. I hope next time you do driving review in Spain you should try the winding road of Ronda to Marbella or vice versa. I'm sure you'll enjoy the scenery with some jaw dropping cliffs and if you can use a drone that would be amazing.👌👌👌😀😀😀🏎🏎🏎
Great vehicle and great review! For the record, I think the large exhaust tips are wasted effort. I prefer a more stylish/functional diffuser without the large exhaust holes.
You can buy 2 entry level Q7s for the price of a single RS Q8. This either shows how expensive this car is or how good of a deal the Q7 is compared to this. In any case, a car that starts from just over €122k should come with a lot more features as standard. This is a bit greedy I think.
I really like Audi's interiors, some of the best looking ones. By the way, Thomas, I have a question: What is your daily car? No worries if you don't want to disclose. Nice review anyway!
This would be my first purchase after cashing in my winning lotto ticket, although the only thing that irks me is the full honeycomb plastic rear diffuser - I much prefer the regular SQ8 look. Still, I'm 99% percent in love with this beast
Hey Thomas, great review, yours is one of the best motoring channels, really good stuff. Considering the cost v performance x efficiency, do you think the best Q8 is probably the SQ8? Still rapid but the extra £25k for the RSQ8 I can’t see….as you say, is the average owner really going to be driving the RS to the max…? Would be interested to hear your thoughts, keep up the good work 👍
Tenerife? What an expense to ship those RSQ8's out there! I just press 'Like' before even watching - and am now going to sit down with a cup of tea and enjoy this Thomas report - in full length. Let's go.

For the fuel consumption and environmental issue, they should do like Porsche did with the Cayenne turbo s e-hybrid. Overall this Audi is the car of my dreams. Thanks for the great review.
Becasue of this car Im not so excited about new RS6. What a machine! For the first time I can easly say it would be perfect car for "one car garage" :)
Great review as always Thomas, I have a question though would you choose this over the Porsche Cayenne Turbo coupe (not se hybrid) similar price bracket? Could really do with an opinion as I have driven both but can’t make my choice !

It’s great that manufacturers are still producing crazy cars like this. We all complain about overpaid footballers and silly-rich Arabs, but without them creating a market niche for cars like this, the manufacturers wouldn’t bother trying and the world would be a less interesting place!
as always, excellent reviews. I'd be a little frustrated in not being able to push this car. I could push SQ8 more, and Q8 even more. Unless I'm in Germany on the autobahn.
Everyday driving you wouldn’t notice a huge difference performance wise compare with sq7/sq8 with 900Nm, sq8/sq7 diesel will stretch sometimes up to 3 weeks without fuel light coming on, with the rsq8 on the other hand maybe 5 days max if drive everyday with occasional pedal to the floor.
Seeing how Thomas almost lost the RSQ8 in that curve. You definitely must know the road and where the hairpin curves are. If not an accident bound to happen. Then you can't go fast at all on this road. All the curves and mountain side dropoffs. This is one terrifying road way 😨. I'd be white knuckling it all the way.
