Ever find yourself playing a game you don’t even like? Logging in out of habit, grinding a battle pass, doing dailies-just because you feel like you have to? Somewhere along the way, gaming stopped being about fun and started feeling like a second job. 🏢💼
In this video, I break down why modern gaming feels like a chore, how we got trapped in this cycle of efficiency, FOMO, and endless checklists, and most importantly-how to break free and actually enjoy games again. No more playing for progress bars. No more optimizing the fun out of gaming. It’s time to just play. 🎮🔥
🔹 Why gaming feels like work now
🔹 How to stop optimizing the fun out of games
🔹 The importance of playing like a kid again
🔹 Why you don’t HAVE to finish every game
Let’s rewire how we play games and bring back the joy of just messing around. Drop a comment below-do you ever feel like gaming has become an obligation? Let’s talk about it! 🗨️👇

I just create some poitions in Oblivion, the time while you collect all the ingridients truly makes you relax and forget about life worries.

I usually play something maximally simplistic and braindead

I usually just take a break working on life stuff and then after several weeks when you come back it feels all renewed

I sometimes have this sunken cost feeling with games, where I force myself to finish them, despite not having fun already, just because I started

    • @NeuroTalkGaming

Yeah, sometime its hard to drop a game after you spent 20 hours on it without seeing the ending, even if it's a grindfest

Totally Agreed. I recently played Kingdom Come Deliverance 1 and gave up after 25 hours. Everything felt like a chore (casual gamer and don't have a lot of time to play)

Looking up how to progress early in elden ring is still one of my biggest regrets in gaming

    • @NeuroTalkGaming
      @NeuroTalkGaming  9 годин тому

Yeah it defeats the purpose of exploration, but also with elden ring if you dont follow guides you might mess up half the questlines in a game🥲

For me, there's nothing worse than starting a new game with friends, only to find out that they've already learned every part of it before even playing. They try to play as efficiently as possible, and you completely lose that feeling of discovering things together and the fun that comes from not knowing what to expect. Nice video!

Thank you a lot❤️ Yeah there is nothing like trying minecraft or terraria with friends who are pro there, cuz instead of exploring or discovering you are stuck making efficient zombie farm for money for couple hours🥲

Thank you a lot!❤️ I think with all the toxic practices of modern multiplayer games(like liveservice and microtransactions for everything) the best way to be gaming is to do singleplayer😊

Gamers often forget that gaming is addictive
Being addicted means you just do it now because it used to be fun, but none of us grown gamers will get the same kick we got when we were still teenagers rushing home from school to boot that PS2

Being stuck in competitive/meta type games i feel has ruined me. I have a hard time picking a game and overthinking it and just going back to marvel rivals. When i played an old ninja gaiden i was having a-lot of fun until i got lost but it felt like really fun. And say what you will about it bring a nostalgia bend but i never played that game before lol

I think many of us feel stuck on modern competitive gaming and thats also the reason I started to replay a lot of older single-player titles to get that love for gaming back

this is why I think I wasted my time and money in POE2 the devs are the ones who made the game to intentionally be that way, VERY punishing if you make mistakes and EVEN MORE punishing if you don't follow meta and optimize everything. what a fucking joke.

streamers, lets players and data miners are ruining all games.

Well yeah, cuz many people even stopped playing and just watch others play, which defeats the whole purpose of games as interactive medium
