As an Upstate NY'er now living in SWFL, I can attest to this. NYC has ruined NY. Upstate is mostly Conservative, but we can't beat the numbers of NYC and Downstate Votes.

I think if someone moves to Florida from California the only war they'll be having is with mosquitoes and other insects. You'll see them hiding inside with lots of bug spray, planning on how to kill the insects, looking up strategy and tactics for insect control and hand to hand combat with insects.

As guy who was born in Florida and raised in Cali then moved back to Florida in my early 20s and have been here almost 30 years now I've been seeing a lot of California plates recently here in Destin and that truly scares me, no joke!!! I have lived in California (16 yrs), Texas (8 Yrs) and Florida (45 yrs). There are very capable citizens and a huge amount of nuances in every part of every state.
I moved to Florida from California 8 years ago. I think I was the last conservative to get out before the iron curtain fell. I love it here. Californians are like snow to me. I don’t care if I every see either again.
