Ali, I have been using your techniques to improve my swing and have slowly rebuilt my golf game. I was a 9 handicap then, now 7.5. This is nice progress especially considering I’ve only 30 rounds this year and little real practice. I am retiring end of this year and hope to continue to improve as I find a bit more time to practice. The biggest improvement has been more balls on the fairway and more greens. Eliminating double bogies. Thanks Tom

Ali. I’ve been a subscriber this year and have rebuilt my swing around your lessons. My handicap has gone from 9 to 7.5. Biggest improvement are less missed shots, more fairways, more greens and eliminating that 1 or 2 double bogies a round that kill the score. Thanks for the help .

Played yesterday, with the swing though, of keeping the circle. Played well, struck the ball better. Thanks for the tip. Keep up the good work. John from new zealand.

Ali, I will be working on this as an antidote for my increasingly bad shoulders. Looks easier on the body than the old gorilla swing. I appreciate your ability to swing badly at will. Lots of good stuff with a philosophy I like. Thanks!

This is an amazing tip. For me personally tempo in the backswing is one of my biggest issues! Side note. Idk what these launch monitors are on with these almost 30 yards of roll I carry on average between 250-260 and Idt I’ve ever gotten 30 yards of roll on any course 😂😂 like maybe 20 max on a dryer fairway. Maybe it’s just me 🤷🏻‍♂️

Thanks for this reminder Ali, another excellent tip. This is a regular bad habit of mine. When I take the time to make a better turn and slow it down a bit the results are so much better in terms of distance and accuracy.

This is very good advice, that I also have from my coach. When I finally managed to make the change from rushed down on the ball to ‘slow and rythmic’ up on the ball during a winter set of training into a net, my driving has been a strong and stable part of my game. And my mates regularly comment on my driver swing as “controlled and effortless”. Very solid advice!!! (as always on your channel👍)
So for your next video: How do we get a similar contol over mid-/long irons? (no points for guessing where my game is struggeling 😂)

Excellent! Definitely can see the faster or “rushed” swing has less control. Nicely explained, thanks very much!

Ali, another great video thought for sure 300 was in ya. I’ve always found my practice swing more full and relaxed. Then I’d chop at the ball trying to be fast.

I agree; I sometimes don't complete my backswing and don't get great distance.

I can't wait until next spring to get back out there and give this a try.

Get to a driving range and make it natural by the spring

@@AliTaylorGolf I whish that I could but as a disabled golfer that uses a SoloRider cart to play from that is not possible. It is interesting that my early springtime swings, which are made slow and smoothly in an effort not to further aggravate my old broken back, are always the best of the season. I then think that if I can hit it that far with that little swing just think what I could do with more speed. We know the result but it is hard not to try!

Tried this at the driving range today and hit my longest and straightest drives since taking up the game again.

Great video. I noticed 2 things. 1. The ball looks like it’s positioned off your big toe! 2. Your hands appear to be behind the ball at set up! Is this so or is it an illusion?
If I try that the ball goes no where.

I always say to swing like a warm up swing on the tee box, doesn’t seem to work out just yet, lol

Yes -- you've got 300 yards total. Now to un-pause the video and see if I'm correct.
